Let me preface this by saying Im confident this rating will increase over time and that this was likely an isolated incident. First trip (5/5) for an ECU reflash was great. Evan was as helpful as I needed, they got me in right when I called and had me on my way by the end of the day. The second experience wasnt stellar like the first (2/5) due to a couple communication issues that were eventually resolved. I called to receive a quote for the installation of APRs s3 k04 turbo. They initially quoted me at over double the labor of any other shop ($1300 dollars for a job that APR claims should take 6 hours on a B8 A4/A5). They said it would take ~10 hours (still $130/hr, though, which is very high). It turned out the reason for this (which is valid but unknown to me at the time) was that they hadnt performed this turbo installation on an A5 before, they had only done it on another Audi model it is meant to fit. However, it doesnt fit nearly as well on this model and takes significantly more time than the A5. After I informed them that APR publishes 6 hours as the installation time, they quickly accepted their mistake and apologized. Im glad I was diligent in my research so that we could mutually learn, although it is concerning that they didnt know this information before me and had done so few turbo installs on an A5-type vehicle. To reconcile the mistake, they came back to me with easily the best quote Ive gotten (albeit too late, I had already talked to another shop) by dropping labor to $588 and dropping product cost from $3499 to ~$3200. The owner also called me about the situation so that we could mend fences and get on the same page. After all was said and done, I dont distrust Dubwerx and will return. However, I will have to return a couple more times with smaller orders and get more experience with them before I can say, with certainty, that I fully trust their expertise. Some concise review points here: Were they ill-informed in this isolated instance? Yes. Did they quickly and humbly realize their mistake? Yes. Did they try to make amends and convince me that they learned from this experience? Yes. Were they cordial throughout the process? Yes.

We are a 3 VW family, a 2003 VR6 Jetta (My baby!), a 2009 Passat (My wifes escape from her Mini Van years), and our newest addition, a 2003 1.8T Jetta Wagon,. I was referred to Dubwerx by a good friend/car enthusiast/all-around-techie. He swears by them and now I do too. Experience 1: Failing transmission on VR6. "We dont do transmission work, but heres who we use. We can arrange it or you can just deal directly with him". How refreshing to get a solid referral. Experience 2: Purchased the wagon from an individual. The car ran and looked great at purchase but quickly exhibited the band aids holding it together. We took it to Dubwerx and learned of major repairs that showed up immediately with their VW specific diagnostic equipment. Moral of the story, we should have spent $100 with Dubwerx to do a pre-purchase evaluation. Experience 3: Passat was running rough. Dubwerx is across town and my wife wanted a quick fix. She took it to a local (widely trusted but not specialized) mechanic. A coil issue was identified. They replaced only 2 of the 4 coils. Problem Solved, Right? Wrong! 3 weeks later the car relapsed with acceleration problems on the highway, 2 days before a planned trip to St. Louis. Got the car to Dubwerx on Thursday AM. They identified the defective coil as one of the new ones, a cheep Chinese replacement. Also learned the problem is a known issue with this model and Volkswagon has redesigned the coil 3 times to solve the problem (Chinese parts were V1). Dubwerx replaced all 4 coils for roughly the same price per coil we paid to the local guy, and sent us on our way by noon on Friday. Moral of the story: VW Experts guide you through potential mechanical pitfalls and give more thorough advice than you get even from a VW dealership service department (I know, Ive use those places too). I highly recommend these guys and will trust them with all my VWs now and into the future.

Im using my wifes Google account to submit this review, however Im more than anxious to say that my first experience with Dubwerx was extraordinary. Ryan, Adrian and the whole crew of technicians there quite literally brought my 1995 GTI VR6 back from the dead to her former glory. I had let this garage queen, show car idly sit for several years in my heated and cooled garage. I knew I had irreparability flat-spotted the Yokohamas but had no idea of the extent of engine damage I did by NOT driving her. I immediately turned to a Volkswagen dealerships service center for help, only to be summarily told after a day of testing that the problem was too extensive for them to even address, good luck (and I quote) ". . you basically turned this into a parts car. . ." Thankfully I was told about a place called Dubwerx on Wooster Pike that "possibly", "maybe" could do something. I towed my GTI out of VW service center to Dubwerx thinking I had unknowingly ruined this Waterfest and NOPI Nationals 1st place winner with barely 27,000 miles on her. From the start, Ryan and Adrian attacked my dilemma not as a burden to them to be brushed off because the problem was too great but as an honest challenge. You can tell these guys love their job, they are passionate about VWs (and Audis) and take each service issue you present them like a surgeon before an operation. Suffice it to say, yes, the problem was extensive and the repair VERY involved. They were upfront, honest, very communicative and NEVER did they make me feel less than a respected customer. Bottom line I am once again DRIVING and enjoying the 1995 GTI VR6 that was once labeled a "parts car" thanks to Dubwerx. You love your VW? Passionate about your Audi? Then you need to familiarize yourself with Dubwerx. Nuff said.

Meh, these guys are ok...Nah, not really:) After looking at the feedbacks I was a bit skeptical, I thought theres must be a skeleton or something in the closet. These folks are great. From the very 1st email to the last. About 2 weeks ago I asked them if they could do a KO4 turbo upgrade, intercooler swap, DSG tune and oil change on my MK6 GTI. I knew it wasnt a quick job, so I applied for an appointment for about 10 days a head. They sent me estimates with labor and parts, it was very professional. Dealing with a certain tuning company has never been an easy thing to do. However these guys made it happen! Everything was ready to go when I took my car up there. (Im from Lexington, KY ). They did an awfully great job. Very throughout, very clean. They even threw a few freebies in there ( lug bolt, drain plug, etc..), which I kind of expected after giving them a nice chunk of money...lol. Bottom line, the Dubwerx stuff is pretty awesome. I love the new ride, and I agree with many others the KO4 should be the factory turbo on the GTI. ( I believe it is on the R model). Love the feel of it, cant wait to go to work every single morning. Took my wife for a ride and she said quote: "Well definitely use my car when we going on a vacation". Haha, that was the exact impression I was looking for! The "D" mode is fast, and the "S" is insane. ( For us FWD car drivers). I was at stage2 for a while, and noticed when Im in D the torque steer is more manageable with the KO4 than it was at stage2. However, when Im in sport mode, the torque steer is much more noticeable. I know its weird, go figure. Anyways, thanks a lot dudes, it was a true pleasure to doing business with you. Hope well meet again in the future.
