My experience with Car X was absolutely pathetic, and it escalated to the point they lost a potential life-long customer. I went to Car X on a Tuesday afternoon, told Chris what I wanted and if they could take a look at my truck (I drop it off that night). I call on Wednesday after work to see what is up on the truck… nothing much. Then on Thursday, I get a call from Chris. I told him I would call him back, and I do. I got a piece of paper with me so I could potentially list down the prices of what it would take to get what I needed fixed. The call is interesting. I truly wish I recorded this call as it would show just how unprofessional, and how astoundingly rude this Chris employee is. He immediately without a moment of delay starts rattling off the cost of the things that will need to be fixed and the prices and goes back and forth, going all over the place… I was trying to write down the prices for just 2 - 3 things, but he wouldn’t speak slowly. So I said over the phone, “Okay, wait. I am confused.” What he said right afterwards is pathetic. He says in a condescending, and ticked off voice, “Okay… I will repeat this one more time… slowly.” Yup. The moment he said that I knew this prick just insured I will never step foot in this place again. A customer should feel welcomed and feel at home in asking questions. This Chris employee should know the basics of customer relations. If a customer asks a stupid question that you answered (in a super fast and confusing manner) over and over… what do you do? You answer their questions with joy in your tone. So I then go to the shop to take my truck back as he was attempting to price gouge me beyond reason. I probably looked like a loon that didn’t know a single thing about automobiles. What Chris doesnt realize is that I was willing to spend hundreds and hundreds on them for my car needs in the immediate and potential future. They got $0 because I was not about to be pushed around to pay $147.00 for just an “AC performance test and a tail light being fixed”. Whenever the subject of auto repair or cars are brought up, I will ensure that I tell my friends and strangers to never come to this Car X in Blue Ash. I went over to a competitor of theirs to get all 4 new tires and spent over $600 - I reiterate again, Car X got nothing.

I have to preface this review by stating that I am seriously lacking in my auto-knowledge. Historically speaking, most shops treat me like a fool and then try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge. My husband hit some nasty potholes, ended up with a flat tire/bent rim very late Friday night. We live in Columbus, so I started calling shops the next morning and every single shop would tell me virtually the same thing, and it went something like: “We can replace a tire today, but we will probably not be able to fix the rim if it is really bent. We can’t get that product until Monday.” I was feeling slightly defeated and didn’t know how I was going to get my husband home BEFORE Monday. I was about to just give up but then called this Car-X and Don, I believe he is a Manager, was a total lifesaver. He said they would be willing to try and fix the rim, and would do everything in their power to fix it. Not only was he willing to try to fix the rim but he was willing to do so at a VERY reasonable price. Then, to top it off he gave me a name/number of a towing company that he said would also be kind to us. My husband was able to get the car to them, they fixed the rim, put a new tire on, and my husband was home by Saturday afternoon! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this shop and especially Don. Not only were the prices a total value, but the customer service was phenomenal. Thank you, Don!!! If there were Car-X shops in Columbus, we would probably be customers for life just from this experience.

Peter Hsu, Perhaps you should do some research before publicly blasting someone on the Internet. Using my name was very unprofessional on your part. Since you did use my name Id like to publicly defend myself as well. I agree that leaving the oil cap off on your vehicle was a mistake on our part and the technician who did has been reprimanded. The fact that I personally did not look under the hood o. Your second visit was a mistake on my part. I accept full responsibility for that mistake and have compensated you for it. I do not however appreciate that you chose to say your life was put in danger. As you yourself have told me you are not a mechanic and are unable to make that determination and I take offense to that fact that you would publicly accuse me personally of that. You and your wife were extremely rude to me in the store the severity of which was uncalled for. I understand you were upset and well within your rights to be upset. But a lesson in restraint might be in order. I hope I. Your future dealings with customer service associates you might exercise some caution before you start screaming at someone like an idiot you would probably get more sympathy. I got an oil change from CarX in Blue Ash, Ohio on Wed. before Christmas. They said my car was in great working order. Then I heard a weird noise on Thursday while driving on highway. I drove to Lexington on Friday after teaching all day and heard scraping at times. My brother put it on a lift and said the engine cover was crumpled up under the car. We looked on the computer and multiple people posted that you had to move the engine cover when doing an oil change on my type of car. My brother used a wire hanger to reattach the engine cover so I could drive back to Cincinnati. When I returned to Cincinnati, I went straight to CarX and talked to a man named Chris. He checked it and said that they remembered my car from Wed. and that they didnt do anything wrong....basically calling me a liar. I guess they can say people lie all the time so they dont have to take responsibility for their actions. They are "checking with the higher-ups" on Monday.

Ever since I started using the CarX on Cooper Road in Blue Ash I would never allow any other mechanic to touch either one of my cars! I get consistently great service! Don who is the manager of this store always remembers my name when I walk in the door and sitting there waiting for my car to be serviced I notice that he seems to remember everyone who walks in the door. He is knowledgeable and friendly. I have had nothing but GREAT experiences with this location. If my car needs extra work other than my usual oil change Don explains and shows me the exact problem and gives me an estimate to the penny of how much it will cost me. I get fast, excellent care for my cars. I highly recommend this location. I have also spoken with a few of the mechanics and they are also friendly and know what they are doing. I completely trust the work that they do to my cars.
