This past Wednesday the 24th, Gene finished diagnosing my Check Engine warning light that also had the traction alert, with blinking Cruise, and blinking Brake alert lights on. Previously on Monday the 22nd, Karl and Gene were able to finally read the Check Engine actual code while the alert lighting was still on and active. It turned out to be a totally different code than what was initially determine. Which was pointing to a more expensive security issue with my ignition key. They let me know UP FRONT when I brought my Outback to them, that they would need 24 hours to diagnose my INTERMITTENT Check Engine Warning Light and other alters. They stayed true to their word and diagnosed what turned out to be an electrical issue and fixed this problem by just needing to reroute the existing wiring. They did not need to charge for any replace parts because this was not needed due to their through diagnosis and confirmation of eliminating this particular Check Engine issue. Gene also thoroughly explained how they found the problem and they also showed me where and how they fixed this issue. They also answered all my question during this entire process. If I had another problem and they indicated that they could take care of what was brought to them, I would definitely have them do the work on my Outback again. No Problem ! I would recommend them for their patience and expertise on resolving an issue for any Subaru owner.

I was in a tough situation, far from home and late to work. Gene, at Subaman, took the time to work through the issue and explain what he thought was happening with my Forester. Ultimately, I was able to drive home with a new battery. Unfortunately the issue was more than the battery and I had to get the alternator replaced to fully resolve the issue. I am fairly mechanical-natured and appreciated the detailed explanation that Gene offered. If Im ever in the area again I will definitely take my Subaru back to him. It takes a lot for me to give this sort of endorsement, so, trust that it is warranted and true.

Incredibly knowledgeable mechanics, who really care about you and your vehicle. Took my car to dealers, recommended shops, and most places either over charged, or never really dug into finding the cause of a problem. Brake lines rotted on my 05 Legacy GT two weeks ago. Had it towed to the Subaman shop because i knew they specialized in Subies and is five minutes from where I work. Gene personally called me that day and explained the diagnosis. He let me know what needed to fixed immediately and what to keep an eye on. Had to have emergency headgasket repair which they diagnosed quickly. Great customer service and kept me updated throughout the fix which ended up being more complicated than expected. Although the fix took longer than expected, they had a fair price. If you have a subaru, you should come here first. They know their stuff.
