UPDATE: A couple of weeks after posting my review, I received a phone call from Aaron, the District Manager. He read my review, was concerned about my experience with their shop and offered to help correct the situation. He felt, based upon the symptoms I described, that the rotors might warped. He stated they were under warranty and would be replaced free of charge and was not sure why this had not been tried in the first place. I took my car back to Steve who replaced the rotors without much discussion about the initial issue. The brakes now work great and feel brand new. Quite a relief. I have upgraded my review to Good because the upper company management appreciates the importance of correcting problems with their customers and they took the time to reach out and make it right. If this had been done when the issue first presented itself, I would have given a much more positive rating. Thank you, Aaron. ------------------------------------------------ I brought my Lincoln MKX in for major brake work. I knew it needed it and I knew it wasnt going to be pretty. Both front and back brakes needed everything replaced - rotors, calipers for front and pads. $1000 later, I drove off with brakes that should have felt brand new. Instead, every time I applied the brakes I felt the steering wheel vibrate like the rotors were warped. I took the car back to Steve. He was nice enough and said he would take a look. A day later, he called and said his tech could not reproduce the issue and that the new parts probably just had to wear in. I picked up the car and drove it over the next few days. The brakes still vibrated - enough that my passenger could feel it too. I took the car back and again left it. Steve called back a day later and said his tech still could not reproduce the symptoms. Steve even said HE drove that car and it wasnt shaking for him. So, short of suing him, now what. He wont, or cant, even recognize there is a problem. Even if it isnt the brakes causing the shimmy, he should be able to diagnose the issue. So, I am out $1000. The problem still exists, and I will have to pay someone else to fix the problem Midas should have taken care of in the first place. Dealers charge more, but at least they usually know what they are doing.

I was told the ball joints were bad on both front tires, top and bottom and it would cost around $1,000.00. I went to another place and was told just one of the ball joints was bad, did not need all of them replaced. And a "joint pin" wasnt in under/near the tire and they did not notice it. Plus the amounts for the ball joints were three times as much as the other place I went to! The manager at Midas in Powell talks too fast and you do not understand what he is trying to say you so desperately need. Perhaps it is a woman thing as I was there getting an oil change (they wanted me to have more done but I said no thank you) and a man walked in who is a head coach of one of the OSU sports programs. They were so nice and stepping over themselves to get to him it was embarrassing. When it was my turn, the guy was annoyed that my "coupon" was on my phone versus actually printed out on paper. And another time, as I walked in the place, around 3 of the workers were having a break and were just watching everyone. It was sort of creepy. I am not going back for so many reasons but in summary, dishonesty and things being way over priced.

This place is ridiculous. Ive been taking my car there for about a year now and this will be the last time. I had front and back brakes completely replaced. They did not set the parking brake properly as I have a manual transmission and my car almost rolled down a hill. My front brakes have been looked at 3 times since they put them on because they continue to squeal everytime I come to a stop. This last time I took it in for an oil change and have them look at the brakes again they never called me to let me know how the car was. By time I realized it was 7 p.m. I called them and they had already closed. Now Im without a car. I am done with this place

I have a hard time with some of the raters negative ratings of this place. Steve is awesome! I take our Dodge and our Nissan there, and have had nothing but fast service, accurate quotes and very, solid service. Twice my wife and I took a car there to check our brakes to be told we were just fine and not in need of anything. They have my business for anything my car needs. They are positive and they dont cheat you. Dont take a POS car there and expect them to work miracles, but if you are looking for a fair place that does a good job on your car, this place seems very solid to me.

ASK ABOUT ROTOR POLICY BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR CAR THERE TO REPLACE YOUR BRAKE PADS! I dropped off my car and about an hour later, they called me and said "I NEEDED ROTORS REPLACED TOO!" I said Im going to pass and they said BY LAW they cant change my brakes if my rotors are that worn down. Gave me a quote for $448.00 for just the front rotors and pads on a 2013 Honda Civic LX!! I PASSED ON THAT! Complete waste of my day! He should have said that "if" my rotors were bad, he wouldnt be able to change out my PADS ONLY and that it would have to be both. SCAMMERS!

I went in with my car (2009 Ford Fusion) to get a oil change and ended up needing what was quoted as a a $1,400 brake repair: new rotors, pads, and calipers. Danny gave me a great deal with coupons. I was not scheduled for an appointment and they were able to fit me in at the end of the day and finished the job in 2 hours! Danny was very nice and said my safety was #1. Chris and Brent are also great. I only use this Midas location because everyone here is so nice and they always tell you what you need today and what can wait.

I just recently had my vehicle towed in to Midas in Powell. It wouldnt drive. The employee took one look under the truck and saw that my drive shaft was on the ground. I dont know what he did but he had it fixed in 5 minutes. I thought it was ready for the junk yard but he saved me a lot of stress and money and I still made it to work that day. Runs like a charmz. Quick response, fair pricing, great integrity. Would not trust anyone else with my vehicle. Thanks Midas

Went in for an oil change today and learned I needed a coolant flush and other services. The manager and staff were very helpful in showing me the maintenance requirements under the vehicle up on the lift in the shop. I was very pleased with the explanation of problems accompanied with the visual examination of the problem areas. I will be back and will recommend Midas on Galloway Drive to anyone who asks for an excellent auto service provider.
