Any low star ratings here simply baffle me. This is an excellent shop. Rude front desk? They couldnt be more approachable and helpful. They go out of their way to apply pertinent discounts, like AAA, to your service. Their regular oil change is with a synthetic blend that other shops charge at least an additional $10-15 over Sterlings cost. I live a few miles from the shop, and they have dropped me off and picked me up numerous times when they are servicing my trucks. Ive had plenty of service done at Sterling Car Care, have never had to revisit them for service performed and would recommend anyone take their cars and trucks there to keep them running well.

First discovered Sterling Car Care when my automobile broke down in the Sterling Heights area 2 years ago. My car was towed to their shop. I was incredibly satisfied with the service I received there. Never felt pressured, always well informed, never felt as though I was being "sold something". Since then, I continue to come in for my regular maintenance and repairs and have always had a great experience -- and even though I am Canadian I have no reservations making the trek across the border from the Windsor area to continue to have my car serviced with them. Well worth the trip for this loyal customer =)

Failed to diagnose my car beyond the skill and knowledge of an Autozone employee. I came in for an emissions code; they suggested a brand new catalyst and O2 sensors for over $700 (Autozone suggested the same thing...and theyre not mechanics, so I would expect them to just say whatever the computer tells them). Failed to observe the exhaust system, parts, or run any basic diagnostic tests on the emissions system - why I brought it in in the first place. Presented expensive repairs without explanation; more or less wanted to throw parts at the car, which is okay for some people, but not me.

I stumbled upon Sterling Car Care when I purchased some tires online and the tires were shipped to Sterling Car Care for installation. I was very impressed with the friendly service and value and have used them for virtually all of my vehicle maintenance since. (Several years now.) Ive saved hundred of dollars by having Sterling do the scheduled maintenance on my vehicles instead of the dealer. (The 30,000 mile services, etc.) Sterling has BG Automotive Maintenance services just as my dealers do but their prices are significantly less. Highly recommended

Stole our money after we asked them to tell us if anything what was wrong with a car we were looking at to purchase. No explanations. They failed to tell us that the brakes were stuck on and when we brought the car home it was smoking. Called and asked for a refund and owner Mike said he would check and call back. No call back. Disputing the charge with our credit card company now. Stay away from lazy thieves that dont care if your family will be safe in a vehicle or not.

I wouldnt think of going anywhere else for work on my car! Theyre the BEST! Everyone there is courteous, helpful, knowledgable, and friendly. Sterling Car Care have put their highest asset out there in their name - they CARE! .... and it shows! I highly recommend Sterling Car Care for any of your automotive needs! You wont find better. My experience with them goes back decades, and looking forward to many more years! Thanks guys for all the great work you do!

Went in to get my muffler changed out. After they inspected it, the man said he would not be able to change it out and I would need to buy a whole new muffler system which costs about $700-$800..... I went down the street at the mr. muffler shop on 16 and van dyke and they changed my muffler out for $90!!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to get RIPPED OFF!!!! Always call other places and get prices before you do anything

Best shop in town. Even in the neighboring communities. Friendly service, helpful people that are willing to go the extra mile to keep their customers happy. I like to work on my own cars as much as possible but certain things its nice to have a professional handle. They are very understanding and willing to explain everything and discuss the options that you have in order to fix your vehicle at the best price and value.

Got my front brakes done here. They did a good job. My car stops on a dime every time. My brakes started squeeking around 4 months after and I was furious, but it ended up being the rear brake dums...squeeking, not the front. The guy Ernie there showed me where the sound was coming from. It just needed lubrication where drum shoes slide. I am going to that job myself. I actually go to school for auto now.

I went into Sterling Car Care to have work done on my car. All i wanted was a tune up. This included spark plugs, an air filter, and fuel filter. I dropped it off at 9:30, it is now 2:45 and im sitting waiting for it to be finished. Spark plugs and two filters does not take this long to do. The stqaff at the front desk is rude and has no empathy for the customer. The service here is unnacceptable

Excellent service write up guys, drivers are the best, I believe they are Kevin ( the best) and Dick ( the grumpy one)....Ernie( as in Harwell) and John are great also, John is the one to see, he knows what is ailing your car, and or truck.....Ernie tries but what can I say, he likes himself....just teasing....great job guys...oh and by the way...the workmanship is tops also....

Pleasantly surprised! I took my van to a discount tire shop and was told they couldnt repair my tire and suggested I buy a new one. Since my friend works in the automotive design industry and used to work on race cars, I listened when he said it can be repaired. He suggested Sterling Car Care who did repair my tire and Ive driven to Florida since and still driving on it!

I have been getting my Audi serviced at this location for over 3 years now. I have also purchased 2 sets of new tires in this time frame. I am happy with my service and the staff here are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend their services to anyone that needs car repair and new tires.

They told me my timing chain flew off and my whole engine was shot and it would be $2200 to fix... I took it to another place and it was just a water pump and a new set of plugs ($100 worth of work) before my engine started right back up. CUSTOMERS BEWARE, THESE GUYS ARE SCAM ARTISTS.

Yes, Sterling Car Care is my place for servicing both vehicles. I appreciate the good quick service I get there. And the ability to get a rental car for the day while the truck is in for some work. Both the customer service & work are done by professionals.
