I had first used Town Center (then Tri-County Transmission) from about 2004 to 2010 before I moved from Lake Oswego to Salem. During the first period, I had good success getting regular maintenance from Tri-County on both a 97 Subaru and a 96 Volvo. Both were maintained very well until in each case a driver ran a stop sign/red light and totaled them. The Subaru with 359,000 miles, and the Volvo with 289,000. I owned each from less than 100,000 miles. The Subaru had a transmission replacement provided by Tri-County at a very reasonable price, and the transmission performed well to the end. In both cars cases I attributed the longevity of the vehicles to my routine care and the very good upkeep and repairs provided by Tri-County. Fast forward to now, and two weeks ago my 97 Accord I purchased with with 139,000 miles on it collapsed near Wilsonville on I-5; the timing belt breaking, and due to an interference engine, taking two valves with it. Town Center has now replaced the engine at my insistence with a warrantied 106,000 mile engine, and it is running like a dream. Friends are unable to tell it is running when sitting in it idling. During the repair, Rob (who is taking over the business) called to tell me that they were experiencing an unexpected problem with another customers vehicle which had been ahead of mine, and that he would be unable to meet the projected finish date/time. Without me asking, he voluntarily booked a rental for me for the next five days at his cost. To me, that type of responsibility is hard to find these days. I now have my car back and running great. I couldnt be more satisfied. Jacek/Jack H.

I own a business with 2 commercial Van/Box Trucks so when they are disabled Im losing 3-4 thousand dollars per day when one of them goes down. Urgency and timing are critically important when dealing with mechanical issues on my rigs. Tom and Robert are extremely valuable to us when it comes to keeping our vehicles on the road. Recently both trucks were disabled within 2 weeks of each other. One was a blown motor and the response time from diagnosis to back on the road excellent, they kept me well informed of the progress and timing of this major project so I could plan our work properly and not miss a beat for our business clients. Two days after they finished the first truck my second truck went down with a water pump and we experienced similar results. On both projects they advised us of other items that required replacement while everything was apart so that we could avoid future downtime while the truck was already there. I have dealt with this business for approximately 2 years now and have developed complete trust in their recommendations and business practices. They operate their business just like we do, a sense of urgency, a high degree of ethics, quality work, respect for customers, at fair market prices. In my opinion these guys walk on water.

Do not take your car here under any circumstance! Tom and his son Rob are very dishonest people and are far from the type of people you should do business with. If I could rate zero stars I would because 1 star is giving town center automotive too much. I dropped a Ford Escape off to them in March they told me they would give me a call as soon as they figured out what the issue was. I waited patiently after 1 week I gave them a call and spoke to Robert, I asked for an update on the situation and he had a attitude behind his voice as if he was upset that I was checking up on my OWN VEHICLE. I let it slide and gave him the benefit of the doubt and avoided confrontation. Long story cut a little short it is now in the month of May and the vehicle has still not been taken care of. I spoke to Roberts father Tom, he said and I quote, "To be honest its not been on top of my priority list." I was astonished that this is the way he would treat a customer and run a business like. Im having the vehicle towed out of the joke of a Business that is town center automotive today. I sincerely hope nobody has to go through the process I went through with these dishonest people.

Unprofessional and rude. I took my vehicle to be diagnosed for a rough idle issue. Rob broke a spark plug wire due to it being "brittle" I had just done a tune up a few weeks prior including new wires. He refused to replace the wire and charged me for a diagnosis that was very inadequate! He suggested my thermostat be replaced since it was stuck shut, also said my throttle body got stuck open(which has never happened before) and wanted to clean my injectors then, and I quote, "see what happens." I am very upset with the "service" I received. When I asked for a discounted price he got an attitude and said, "no, you can give me 90 dollars and take your car"..... It seems the motto here is just throw money at the problem until its fixed. Now Im out 90 dollars, still have no idea what the issue is and my car is in worse shape then when I left it with them! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE

This shop is absolutely horrible. I took my vehicle here March 2nd after it suddenly died as I was driving it. I spoke with Tom and he said "Its most likely a electrical issue and shouldnt be to difficult". Well its May 5th and they still have not even started or correctly diagnosed the actual issue. Every time I would call they would blow me off with a attitude, and constantly gave me excuses as to why they have not gotten to it. As much as Id hate to say there is still racism in America in this day and age, But Town Center Automotive is absulutly proof there still is. Ive spoken to other friends and family about my dilemma with this shop and they all had similar issues with this shop (All family/Friends are a few shades darker) I truly hope no one supports this abomination of a shop.

Paid them $2300 for new head gaskets. Rob told me my short block was fine and would last. Picked the car up and it was leaking about a quart of oil a week and was missing parts leaving vacuum leaks. I had to take the car back three times to get the oil leaks fixed. But he guaranteed the engine. My car now has a rod knock and the dealership where I had it towed wants $4400 to fix the engine. I called the shop and Tom said, "there is nothing we can do." I wasnt expecting any kind of customer service or guarantee based on the experience so far. These guys are cooks and trusting them was the worst decision I have made in a long time. Take your business somewhere else.

Communication here needs to be improved. I found myself being told I would be called that day to actually get a call days later. Price ended up being higher than quote but was within the average repair price for this job. They seem to know their stuff but I feel that they take in way to many jobs at once.

The best repair shop period! every time I have taken my car to Robert at Towncenter automotive the experience has been great! He really makes sure that the customer is taken care of and always leaves me with a smile on my face!
