(PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW)(DABELLA IS A CHEESY USED CAR SALESMAN SELLING A GEO METRO AND TELLING YOU IT’S A CORVETTE) This company is a total scam scaring you into products and services with Doom and Gloom that aren’t necessary at a VERY VERY STEEP HIKE. Starting off im a project manager with a bum shoulder for a power company. A roof is an investment and with any investment you need to do your research and do a “hot wash” of contractors, quality and materials. If the job was smaller id do it myself but I did extensive research on all the major products and add ons that could possibly be for my personal home. DaBella Exteriors was 1 of the 5 contracting firms I went through for quotes to get a good est of quotes so I could look over the itemized receipts and see what each would charge for things such as; Labor, Base materials, add on sect. When the rep showed up for Dabella he came nicely dressed and well prepared with his sales pitch. He started by crawling up on my roof and he used a satellite image of my home to calculate surface area and “squares” for my home. Then into the attic to check for leaks and writing notes for add-ons or “upsells”. I already knew the warranty and the products he was selling. Most of what he said about the products are true and some are very very wrong. This includes him telling me about the tiger paw underlayment is WATER PROOF and even showed me documentation but right on the GAF website you can see its NOT but is water resistant. Also synthetic underlayment is not necessary for architectural shingles but is under metal or natural materials. The benefits for synthetic under GAF shingles are just an upsell but do stay in their GAF system. Some of the other materials and upsells were also untrue. Dabella also would not give me an actual itemized quote but did have a few line items and discounts. The discounts are a $500 veteran discount, another if I put their sign in my yard and last is if I give them a positive review. Dabella uses biased reviews. If you want the true blue reviews from them you need to look at Yelp and not Angies list or the BBB (Better business bureau). They give 1200 to 1500 worth of rebates if you do a Pre and a Post construction review (Sounds like a good deal but read my next point). This gives them a very biased review. It forced consumers who are gouged by price hikes to scramble for any discount they can muster. If you do your research on them you can see reviews for shoddy craftsmanship, poor customer service and a laundry list of other poo marks. Dabella used a satellite imagery to map the surface area of my home. This is a great way to may flat surfaces but not roofs which have a pitch. I was told I had a 36 “square” roof. The other 5 contractors say between 32 to 34. Doesn’t seem like a huge deal but once you look at the fact DaBella is charging $700 per square! So keep in mind this is 1 of the 5 contractors I got quotes from. After telling each contractor I wanted a 50 year shingle, Mid-grade with alge resistance and a closed valley roof with a high grade felt underlayment. I got a range of 8k to 15k quotes from 2 of the highest reviewed large companies, 2 smaller but highly reviewed firms and then Dabella. Dabella quoted me $25k! that’s almost 3 times higher than the any other company. Also the other companies gave me a price breakdown (which Dabella doesn’t) telling you where the money is going (Materials, tear off/lay down Labor, upgraded materials and of course upsells). In conclusion if you do go with Dabella you will be plyed to leave a good review or they will charge you a $1500 if you actually leave an honest review. The materials they sell are good materials but the facts the sales reps will tell you are not honest. You will be charged twice as much as you should be charged with no better quality in workmanship. And finally if you do go with Dabella im selling a brand new Corvette with flame stickers that increase the horsepower and saves on gas!

Please Read Even After You Sign or the Work is Done Sales: Expect "SIGN NOW before we leave your house or lose discount" tactics Expect to pay MORE (inflated initial price) but if you push you can get more than one discount Best if you do your research FIRST and find out exactly what you really need...they will sell 50 yr material which you may not need. NOTE: They did NOT tell me about a MAJOR exception to the warranty; I would not have bought the 50 yr package if I had known the exception: the 50 yr TRANSFERABLE warranty becomes a TWO year warranty if you sell the house after 19 years! Starting LATE: A week late and a diff. excuse each time I called Customer Care Response: At first extremely poor (got voicemail and calls not returned); after I threatened to cancel, got much better; better toward the end when the problems were the worst; they did talk to me in detail about all the issues after all problems finally resolved Customer Care: I had specific questions about the warranty and about installation which were answered INCORRECTLY. I got the correct answers from the GAF ref (people who make the shingles). Work Crews: are NOT from DaBella! They use subcontractors. The ones I got were the EXTREMELY POOR in their quality of work and spoke poor English. Work, Tearoff: They were VERY fast at tearing off the old roof--BUT I found staples and nails 20 feet or more from the house! Cleanup was SO-SO. Work, Installation: IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO CHECK ROOFING WORK, FIND SOMEONE WHO DOES. I went up on the roof after the first day and found: 1) Nails in crooked (edge will cut shingle) 2) Nails in too deep (cutting shingle) 3) wrongly spaced (GAF warranty requires 6 nails...but they should not be all crowded together! LAZY). Correct pattern is 1 nail an inch in from each end, other four nails even spaced in the first 3/4 of the shingle. 4) Nails too low and SHOWING (shiners). Nails should be on the nail line provided on the shingle. Roof LEAKED: They also wrongly/poorly installed the vents; did not put nails into the top of the vent; did not connect the vent tail pipe to the house pipe (instead they CUT IT OFF) and did not seal under the vent--IT LEAKED); it took a week for DaBella to get out to fix the leak; and they initially, without seeing it, told me it was "probably due to condensation" When I complained to customer care I was told "I dont understand why you are having trouble with them; they are one of our FASTEST crews. Replacement Crew was one man: He was very professional and quality conscious but his English was impossible for me to understand; HOWEVER, he put 5 nails per shingle instead of 6 which I later found out (when reading the warranty) VOIDS the wind portion part of the warranty. NOTE: If your roof was done by a crew-head named Mario, GET IT CHECKED. BOTTOM LINE: Research your real needs; find someone locally; check the work; save a lot of money!

We definitely had some issues with our shower remodel contracted to be done on 11/23/16. After the shower was supposed to be completed, I called twice and left messages that the shower head was leaking, the caulking on the installed bench was breaking away from the shower wall and questioned whether we had paid for a window that wasn’t actually installed. After two weeks of no call back from DaBella I called the salesmen. A few days later, Ashley called to tell me that they would have the installer Ron call and make arrangements to remedy. Ron did come back and you would think at this point he would really check things over to at least meet basic expectations. He simply redid the caulking on the seat and screwed the shower head tighter admitting that he loosely tighten at the time of install. The seat started breaking away from the wall again after a week and still no follow up from accounting on whether we did or did not pay for the window to be installed. That is when we started taking a closer look at all of the caulking and discovered that the top and side parts of the window sill were not caulked at all or so little that it simply broke free from the wall. At that point, we went into DaBellas office to complain in person. They cut us a check for the window that was not installed. We asked that someone else be sent since Ron was already given a chance to correct his mistakes, but the bath manager Jacob Judkins insisted that Ron needed to fix it. While we were there, we mentioned that the back wall bowed out. We were told they would send someone to look at the wall. We also requested they send us a tube of the caulking, DaBella uses, since we were not confident that it would be done correctly based on what we have already experienced. It is now the end of April 2017 and neither one ever happened. We had to call again since the top part of the window sill caulking was put on so haphazardly. It simply broke away from the wall again and for the second time requested they send someone other than Ron to fix the shower. Finally the other person they sent fixed a few other issues, he noticed, while he was here. Therefore, the shower was finally completed February 2017, that is 3 months later from initial installation. This was not a good experience for us and in no way can I ever recommend DaBella. There was never any follow up by DaBella, we had to keep initiating all contact. They didn’t follow through with the things they said they would do - by the way Ashley that tube of caulking you said you sent to my house never arrived. We definitely felt that the customer service stopped as soon as DaBella received payment, which is up front. NOTE: the pictures are from various stages of 1-3 tries to get the it right.
