The work was to remove an old and failing roof and replace with new insulation and membrane on our low pitch roof. The project was initially agreed upon in late October, but due to their schedule I was told it would be 6-8 out before beginning. Fine, that was to be expected, especially this time of year. The Monday before Christmas the project began, I only have a couple of points I would like to mention. First, since we did not know they were coming we had not prepared, such as removing the car the garage. Second, we only learned that it was starting because of the noise of the crew bumping around outside, no one came to the door to say they were here. Third, before we knew it the dumpster was in the driveway, blocking our car in. A miscommunication that Brett Williams assumed personal responsibility and profusely apologized for dropping the ball. Since we really didn’t have any place we needed to be that day or the following morning, we werent too concerned. The dumpster was moved the next day allowing us to get the car out. Also, in the mean time we experienced a totally unpredicted rain event which led to a fair amount of leakage since there was only plastic sheeting covering as most of the old roofing had been removed at this point (the crew worked very quickly on that first day). The second day, the crew finished prepping, and installed the roof (Poly-iso Rigid Foam Insulation (R-19), 50 mil Roof membrane, and all the framing, hardware, flashing, and trim) to such a point that it very adequately kept out a pounding winter storm (rain) that second evening (the crew stayed well past dark to secure the roof). The final finish work was not accomplished until the following week because of necessary repair carpentry (separate contract). All in all, the crew was very professional and about as efficient as anyone could expect. I cant say it was a great experience, but necessary and, other than the aforementioned, accomplished with as little inconvenience as possible.

Working with Matt Krill of Pac West roofing was great. Our situation is probably a bit different from traditional. First off, we have a flat roof (was Torch Down) had it replaced with a single membrane IB roof system. Second, this wasnt an emergency meaning it didnt have to be done right away. We met with Matt in August of 2015 and got our estimates. Due to the great weather we had for Summer and early Fall of 2015 Pac West was booked (a sign of a great company in my opinion). Unfortunately the rain came and stuck around and because of the Flat roof we have and the new type of roof that was being put down, we needed a stretch of 7 dry days...(good luck in Oregon between October and March). Pac West delivered materials when they could to stage and Matt kept us informed of the schedule. Finally the weather cooperated in March and Pac West was able to come out and install our roof. They were quick, friendly, tidy and professional. Matt came out after the install was done and did a walk through with me and actually found a couple areas he wanted to address and got someone out the very next morning to "fix" some blemishes that I think most people, both clients and Pros would not even have taken notice of. I highly recommend Pacific West Roofing and if I ever get another house that needs a new roof, theyre going to be my first call. Hopefully I wont need to call them for this roof since its supposed to last longer than the house.

It gave me great confidence to deal with experienced professionals knowledgeable in building envelope moisture control and ventilation for roof construction to provide a superior roof system that will perform as intended and guaranteed to last for many years to come. For me it was all about having my expectations met and Stan was extremely informative, outlining the entire process and was there to answer questions when ever we had them. He provided pricing options up front and let us make the decisions, and when we did encounter dry rot our contingency was in place in advance, and the crew moved forward without missing a beat. The crew worked hard and quickly and kept our yard neat by cleaning up at the end of each day. Its not like there were not any issues, but most importantly Stan communicated well and we were able to resolve them quickly and equitably. Stan even had contacts for supplementary work related to but outside our re-roof scope pricing and he was able to coordinate the work right in alignment with the scheduled work his crew was performing. The crew was careful but there was one incident that caused some damage and Stan was right on top of it and had an additional subcontractor fix it to make it right. I would not hesitate to use Pacific West Roofing again or recommend them. In fact we did recommend them to a close relative.

I absolutely LOVE my roof. It is truly beautiful. Stan from Pacific West Roofing spent the time with me at the start of the process, going over all of the little details that would really make my new roof pop! The crew was very pleasant and conscientious. The job site was always clean and orderly while they were here and in evening when they were not here. When the job was done, they left my property in better condition with their cleanup efforts than how it was when they arrived. I REALLY appreciated that. They had a great attention to detail and made the roof look really good at the different joints and around the skylights, chimney, etc. They were even able to work in the nasty winter weather with some ingenious tools, very impressive. Their office staff always made sure that I knew what was going on and when the crews would be here. They were very professional and nice to work with. I am thrilled with Pacific West Roofing and the job that they did. It was a great experience and I now have the best looking roof not only on the block, but in my entire neighborhood!

Stan is just amazing. He really cares about doing a good job. He went way above and beyond the call of duty to help us find the source of water dripping onto the ceiling tiles in our small office. Stan had repaired a leak around the drains in the roof in May. In June when it got hot our tenants called and said there were new leaks that we figured were due to condensation. We were due to go out of the country on vacation but called Stan to see what he could do. Stan determined it was not the roof but an HVAC problem so he took it upon himself to call an HVAC company and schedule them to come out and take a look. He even told the HVAC company to bill him until he could get in touch with us! It was just amazing customer service. When the HVAC company didnt check out the problem to Stans satisfaction he had them come back out. It is amazing to have someone go to that level of service when it isnt even a roofing problem! We absolutely trust Stan and Pacific West Roofing and highly recommend them. Thank you!

We got bids from many highly recommended roofers, most of which we researched here. When we met Brian Jarvis, the owner, we immediately liked him. He discussed our options at length, after inspection, he even suggested we could probably get a few more years on our existing roof. Pacific West Roofing was not the low bid, they were not the high bid. They were classically in the middle. The crew were great and friendly, they did tear off and had installed 2/3rds of the roof on the first day. The second day, actually a few hours, they finished the roof and all the extra flashing. Fast and accurate. Very good clean up. I would recommend them to anyone.
