I contacted three different roofing contractors, based upon other reviewers feedback. All three estimates for total replacement of my roof, including putting down new plywood sheathing. I also compared notes with a friend in the insurance adjusting business who I consider extremely knowledgeable about roofing/shingles/workmanship. Based upon my interaction with all three, Interstate was the most complete, accurate, and knowledgeable. In addition, I had hoped to schedule my roof work in summer months, and as soon as I signed off on the contract, the work was put onto the schedule, and in two weeks time, a dumpster was delivered, complete tear-off and replacement occurred. Extremely hard working crew of three employees. In interacted with office staff, Ronnie Shlichter, estimator, and work crew. In addition, Antonio and safety inspector checked the jobsite and coordinated everything very, very well. As a consumer, I was extremely impressed with this business/roofing contractor. They were easy to deal with, left my residence in perfect condition, and were in and out of the job literally within three days. Very impressive and very hard working employees. SO BAD!!! Had them replace roof, windows and siding. Told them the gutters were only two years old and to reuse them, so of course they banged them all up and tossed them in their dumpster and we had to pay for new gutters. Roofers tossed empty bottles and all sorts of debris down our ductwork and the company had to go into our attic and tear all the ducting apart to clean it out. Roofers tossed old roofing onto our patio awning creating numerous huge dents. They came out, tore all the old siding off the house leaving black paper on all the walls, then didnt return for two weeks while our black house baked in 80-plus-degree weather. Told salesman we wanted air condition reinstalled in our bedroom window, so he ordered the windows too small to fit and we had to pay to have hole cut in the side of our house and a new A/C wired in. Siding installer broke window in our sun room and garage. Filed complaint with Contractors Board but when they came they told us since we didnt have photos to prove the damage didnt exist prior to Interstate, we were SOL. If you care for your wallet or sanity, avoid this outfit like the plague!

We got three bids for a new roof & gutters. Interstate was the only one that sent an estimator out Ronnie, walked the roof and meet with us, answered all our questions and show us sample materials. One of the other companies we call " the creepy company" isnt even licensed in the state and uses subcontractors. That company suggested we file an insurance claim for (non-existent) wind damage to save money? Needless to say we went with Interstate Roofing. It took them three days partly because of weather to do the job. They were well organized, respectful and very clean making sure to have all debris cleaned up at the end of each work day. We had several rotten plywood sheets that had to be replaced but we knew this before any work was started and given a cost per sheet to replace. We are very pleased with the service we received and quality of the work and would use interstate roofing again

This company was fantastic to work with, from the sales person that came out for the quote, to the office staff, to the crews here on site. They were very up front and service oriented, and presented high quality work with lots of experience behind it. The work here was efficient and clean, the roof looks great. Their price was in the middle of the three quotes I got and worth every penny. They really went the extra mile for me. Tresa, who does scheduling, arranged to move me up in their schedule so the job would not coincide with my sons home birth. She called other clients to approve the schedule change and my roof was completed one day before I went into labor. I would recommend Interstate to anyone.

BUYER BEWARE!! When you sign their contract you are giving them permission to charge anything extra, without your permission, after the job. Their contact also waives them of all liability for most things. They charged us extra, without telling us even though we were on site, then would not fix the sheetrock/ceiling that they messed up. When I called all they kept saying was that they were not responsible, it was in the contract. They hide behind their contract rather than doing the right thing. They would rather let me blast them online than pay $200 to repair the damage that they caused. I would not use again and would not recommend anyone using them with the attitude that they have.

We called Interstate Roofing a few weeks ago. Someone came onsite and looked at our roof. We told them some of the roof was falling off and that we needed a bid asap so that the rain doesnt start leaking through. They told us it would be a day or two before someone gave us a bid. It has been about 2 weeks and no one has contacted us. I called them to see what is going on and they had me leave a voicemail with someone... that was all they could even though we had a damaged roof and it was raining!! We ended up going with another company. We still have not heard back... I wonder if anyone will even bother calling us at all.... you think people WANT business?

I cant say how good their work is because it never got that far. I called their office to get a quote for fixing a roof leak and a new roof later on down the road and talked to a very rude woman over the phone. She keep cutting me off when I tried to explain why I was calling them and when I asked her to stop and just let me finish what I was saying she got huffy and was condescending and sarcastic. There are plenty of other roofing contractors in the area, why would I work with a company that treats the customer like that? I am giving the lowest rating I can. I would never spend my hard earned money with them.

Interstate did a great job roofing my house, I had it done over a year ago and no signs of leaks or wear. I recently called them out because I had a question and I was surprised that they were so quick to respond even though they were not gaining anything from the call since they have already been paid from the work they did. Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff. Would definitely use again and recommend to others. They have been in the Portland area for a long time and I see their trucks everywhere so I dont think you can go wrong. Im very pleased with my roof and especially their service.

These people did work on my roof, a few months later I had water damage at my home due to them installing a roof vent incorrectly. At first the offer to have their people come fix it for us at their expense. After avoiding my calls for a few weeks I finally got a hold of the "warranty guy" that told me he was on vacation and wasnt able to call me back (I found out from the receptionist that he was not on vacation). Interstate roofing then told me they are not paying for my water damage and "do what you have to do". If you are thinking about using these people dont..RUN!!!
