I went in for the third and final time today, for what was ultimately the worst haircut of my life. I keep getting suckered in, because it is right next to where I live and very cheap, but even at $11, it is pretty much a waste of cash. I agree with the poster above that, at least for men, your hair WILL WIND UP LOOKING LIKE A MULLET. I walked in and asked for a trim, the dumb, blonde middle aged woman just stared at me blankly. I asked her to thin out the top so that it is of even length, then to shorten the side a little bit. She randomly sniped off a few microscopic bits of hair, then just stood there. I asked her to get rid of any hair that was hanging over my ears, for a much neater look. Again, she pulled out the clippers, and basically shaved a microscopic bit of hair off, and then asked "That better?" I realized at this point that, not only did she have absolutely no idea how to use scissors, or clippers, but that she was actually AFRAID of using them. Telling her to trim the hair some more, even the sides and texture the top was like trying to instruct a monkey to preform open heart surgery... She just had absolutely no idea what she was doing. My hair is still uneven, very shaggy and hangs over my ears. Ill get this haircut corrected somwhere else.

Terrible. I asked for a no.1 medium fade. She (Didnt get her name, as she didnt even give me a copy of my receipt because she knew she didnt know what she was doing) didnt even know what I meant by that. She asked me "fade to what...?". That should have been a flag in my head. I always go to Great Clips and this was my first time at this location, surprising as this is my last term at PSU. She managed to screw up the "fade", and on top of that she made a balder spot on my front right top, by my hairline. Now I have to switch the direction of the grain of my hairs to try and cover it up, until it grows long enough for someone less amateur and more detail-inclined to even things out. I should have spent the money i saved on the "student discount" for the extra gas at better Great Clips out there. Some stylists at Mall 205 are actually pretty thorough. Lessons learned. Ugh.

My haircut was pretty bad. This was my first time there and I will not be going back. I just needed an easy military hair cut. The girl went really fast and even the sides (just a #1 with the clippers) were botchy where she missed a bunch of spots and never went back over it at all. Also the fade was uneven on both sides of my head, and she never even touched my bangs so there were random long hairs sticking out all over the place.. Overall, I had to go home and cut most of it again in the mirror. Corporate should really go in and tighten up this shop so hairdressers dont get complacent and lazy like this.

I got lice from this facility, and when I called in concern that I received it from their facility, an average employee shut me down and attacked me because I was upset in the fact that 3 days after getting a haircut there, I had found the start of a lice infestation. She called me a liar and told me this was absolutely impossible. Horrible facility and unworthy employees. I reported the business for further investigation, please just be aware that it is not impossible, and there is a chance you could receive lice, too, especially if they failed to recognize my complaint.

DO NOT GO! I was recommended by a friend to go to Josh and get a hair cut. When I went I was set up with a woman named Allison. I asked her to thin my hair and cut the length around my face down to frame it. She gave me layers, which I thought ok lets try it, but she only put layers on one side of my head!!! She did not thin my hair at all which was the main reason I was getting a hair cut! NOT A SINGLE HAIR DRESSER UNDERSTANDS THE THINNING OF HAIR CONCEPT! Go to a legit salon, not a chain and definitely not this Great Clips!

Nice Ride

I went to their PSU store (Portland, OR) yesterday (June 21, 2017) around 6:00 pm, absolutely terrible customer service! And guess what, they only had a GRAND TOTAL of ONE customer and ONE stylist at that time. - yet their employee could make me feel there is NO way Ill be stepping foot into another Great Clips again. Ever. Went to different hair salon franchise today (June 22), the service there is like a 1,000 times better! (Thank goodness I walked out of Great Clips without giving them my business.)

Of the three times I have gone, they have never managed to get my hair done properly. What I have asked for all three times is a simple clean up job, bangs, back of the head, ears, and sideburns. All three times after they were done they failed to cut the hair so that it didnt go over my ears. They even use an internal database system so they can see your preference which you would think would help, but it seems it didnt.

Worse experience ever! All I went in for was a trim, and the woman snagged my eyebrow piercing and pulled it out! Its been a year and it never healed right, so I got rid of it. To add insult to injury, they didnt even dry my hair. So I left in December weather with wet hair, a painful experience, and no discount besides the $2 for being a PSU student. But, at least my dead ends were kinda gone -_-

i would pay more to go watch a monkey at the zoo give haircuts with playdough scissors. Whatever that means. Dont mean to be unkind but there are two flavors of haircutters at that store: Bad and Worse. i try to get the bad one, (short dark hair, fat) as opposed to the other one marybell. That one is worse. I swear they will butcher your hair just for looking at you

Im not one to spend a lot of time on my hair, so a quick, cheap trim is more than enough for me, however, this has to be one of the worst cuts I have ever had. All I wanted was an even trim all over, what I got was the opposite, completely uneven, and I actually had to fix it myself. Do yourself a favour, spend a little more and go somewhere else.

I have gone here twice now because I live a block away and cant afford anything better. After being extremely disappointed the second time I have decided I just wont eat for a day and cough up the money to go someplace where they are willing to spend more than 5 minutes with each customer. I hate you Great Clips on Broadway, I HATE YOU!!

Took 50 minutes for a very bad haircut. She smelled of cigarettes and was very awkward in cutting hair as if she had never cut hair before. I used to get the best haircuts from here and was not happy at all about this one. Another lady had to step in to help, she was very helpful and saved as much as possible of the haircut.
