Laurel and Hardy only have one speed, slow. Regardless of how many people are in line, perhaps on a short lunch, in a hurry, they move at glacial speeds. Sure its great to know your customers, chat a bit with them etc, but when there are 15 people in line, please shift into a higher gear rather than take a break. Seen that too, a line out the door and by god, when its time for a break, off they go. These guys have been at this office for years, but I still find that they can screw things up. I only go here if its my last option. I guess that since I am not a hot gal, I do not get the primo service. One time I saw Leo just about fall over the counter for a woman who couldnt even fill out a customs form but had a great cleavage, he writes the entire thing out for her, a total flirt, while everyone else in line waits. Yep, Ken was on break. I make a mistake on a form and I get handed a new one and shoved off to the side. Customer service here? NOT.

I have also lived in north portland for about 20 years. I moved too the kenton district after my wifes grandmother past away. Our mail carrier is the worse carrier i have ever had. I have had my dogs in the back yard and she would not enter my yard. Finaly after talking to her she started dropping our mail off. But sense that time i have had multiple pieces of mail have came up missing. My wife and i have both had separate bank cards come up missing. And i have not been getting some of my bills although when i call the bill carrier they say they sent 3. And yes they had the right addresse. I have never had a carrier this bad OR this rude for that matter a verry unfriendly person she is.

Ivan, the manager there, never calls back to address issues event though he says he will. The front desk people are nice and helpful. Our carrier has told us on many time she is too old to take our packages and just doesnt do it. We have complained to both consumer affairs (they said they cant do anything, they just follow the problem) and Ivan at the office and nothing has happened. We will now be taking this higher to the Postal Regulator Commission. They CAN and DO have the authority to make this office pick up their packages.

They are very slow and there isnt an easy way to pick up packages when you get the yellow slip in your box--you have to just wait for someone to notice you at the low counter. Yolanda is super nice and the best clerk they have. Leo is kind of a clown and sometimes I have to listen to his controversial cracks he makes loudly. And, really, I hate the loud rock music he plays. Its a place of business, and I never like it when companies subject their customers to their own musical tastes in an obnoxious way.

I want to like this post office because I love Kenton. A week ago, I got a note from the post office that my package had been delivered while I was out. I went in the next day and they said the package had been shipped back (overseas), and they didnt know why. I did speak with Ruby a couple days later, and she said she would investigate the issue and seemed friendly. Very confused about why they would have shipped it back and hoping this will turn out in the end. It doesnt make sense!

The middle aged man at the counter was a jackass. First and last time going to this post office. Treated me like I was stupid from the minute I walked up to him. Totally ahnnilated my art letter with stamps instead of offering me a different option. A bigger envelope perhaps? Continued to school me on how next time he wont accept my unsigned credit card, as loud as possible, when he could have easily asked for ID or at least could have not been such a loud mouth. Unbelievable.

This is a full service post office, just down the street from my home. The two guys - think Laurel & Hardy - Leo and Ken, are funny, helpful and know everyone. The postmaster here (who is very helpful and sweet) must be doing something right because everyone is always in a good mood - even when 2 women brought in 57 boxes (this is not an exaggeration) half an hour before closing...this is a great place to hang out for the entertainment or just get some business done!

The employees that work in this small town post office do very little in the way of working. Little effort is expended in serving the customer. Too many different mail carriers - each without the inclination it takes to deliver mail to the correct address. Each without the proclivity to do a good job.

Rarely get mail and when we do its wet, weeks past due to be delivered. This post office is under staffed. The staff they have is friendly but they need more staff to help fulfill the work load. This area we do still use the US Postal service so lets keep us happy so we will continue to use it.

so incredibly rude. you work for the u.s. government and have benefits most only dream of . .suck it up and smile. youre blessed to have the job you do. go elsewhere kenton locals. . . its worth the journey compared to the prick that ignored my existence when I asked why theyre closed early.

I was having issues with my mail not being delivered. Went to the office and they made me fill out a slip and after that I started getting my mail temporarily and now my mail is being returned once again saying "The address is incorrect". HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Accidentally dropped off an Amazon return package here that should have been dropped off at UPS (instead is USPS). They called UPS and had them pick up the package before I even realized my mistake. Service to house has also had no issues in last 5 years.

I HATE the mail carriers in the 97217. They are lazy and have screwed me several times by not reading the note I leave them to leave my packages inside my doorway. Why is this so difficult?! Some of them follow directions but most of them are idiots.

This is a full service post office. Perhaps the other reviewer didnt walk far enough into the post office, or went after hours (and they do have an after hours window for package pick up). Folks are nice here, small town feel in a city.

Door service has been very good. Just talked to the Kenton branch via phone and was able to get a question answered that the main USPS Customer Service (800 ASK USPS) could not answer because you can not talk to a live person at USPS.

Doesnt have a desk to ship things or talk to a mail clerk. There are only PO boxes and drop boxes. Waste of time unless you have a PO Box there. Hopefully this will save someone an unnecessary trip!

I like this post office. I have a PO Box here. Everyone is always nice and polite. The parking kinda sucks.
