On 16 Mar 16, We called Pronto to clear our main drain after seeing that they had a $99 main drain cleaning on there website. ( we did not mention the the code) The dispatcher told us that it would be $59.95 fee to dispatch the tech. Upon arrival the technician told my wife that the fee would be $499.71 since we had outdoor access but if he had to go into the house it would be over $800.00. We were desperate (water coming into our basement) and agreed to the fee without calling around. After about 2 houses the tech spoke with my wife and told her the pipe needed replaced due to roots. She agreed and paid him upfront for a $3379.95 pipe removal job to start the following day and the charges from the 16th would be waived. The drain at this point had not been cleared as the tech told my wife to go easy on the water. When I got home from work Bethany and I were talking with my neighbor and he said that "we had just be taken for a ride" and to cancel the replacement right away. We got ahold of the tech the next day, canceled the drain replacement and scheduled him to come out on Friday 18 Mar 16 where I spoke with him. He said the pipe needed replaced as he could not tell if there was damage. I asked him if he could clear the roots and he said maybe but that would be anywhere from $600-1100 and there would be no guarantee. At that point I decided to call around and get some quotes and The Pronto technician requested $559.66 for a half started job not complete job which reluctantly i did pay. I ended up calling Wizard Drain Cleaning and asked them to come out. The said there was no dispatch fee and they would check it out. They quoted me $450 for the Jet Root cutting which the the Pronto tech said would cost $1100 on top of the $599.66. I told them to proceed within 15 minutes our drain was clear and he guaranteed us 1 year, but told us we should be good for years to come with a simple root treatment.

Please read. Or just do not use this company. Short: EXTORTION and DISHONEST service!!! Do not use this company!! Problem: well pump was not working. Had Pronto plumbing come out, spent 2 minutes at my house and claimed i needed to pay $4,300 for a new well pump that was only 5 years old. Well pumps do not cost more than $200-400, and around $400 labor for my 50 foot well. Another company told me they would do it for $800. I told the pronto plumber there was no way I would pay that price, so he told me that it was going to be $68 for just coming out to give me an outrageous bill. I had another company come out 2 hours later. Not only did they tell me upfront that it wouldnt cost more than $800, but when he arrived, he told me it wasnt the well pump that was broken. It was the control box which the total cost wouldnt have been more than $400. Not only did he try to extort me, and over charge me for a service by 4x as he would say "industry standard", but he was trying to charge me for a part that wasnt even broken! Pronto plumber did not get my 68$ because i didnt sign any paperwork and this is a form of Extortion.

CALL FOR QUOTES ELSEWHERE BEFORE/IF USING As a new homeowner, I called in Jan. 2015 for an estimate. They claimed they needed to look at "the book" and wouldnt give an estimate by phone (neither would two other plumbers, although those two were kind enough to be up front about their policy forbidding phone quotes). Lucky for us, I kept calling, because I found a owner/operator who gave me a quote and then talked me through some initial trouble-shooting to the point that we determined that neither he (nor Pronto nor most other operations) could help me anyway. He referred me to my oil heating company.... Whereas Pronto wouldve charged me $60 to come out, look at it and then tell me the same thing (that they couldnt help). SO I STRONGLY SUGGEST CALLING AROUND SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOURE GETTING (and Googling "plumber" and your zip code to at least compare the competition). I would, however, use Pronto again if my local guy wasnt available.

Whenever I need plumbing help, I count on Pronto. Jerry is courteous, prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. He explains everything clearly making sure I understand what hes doing and how much it will be. Today, when Jerry installed my new kitchen faucet, he even took the time to point out the weak area of the faucet and how to care for it for years of use. He always has a smile on his face and remembers what weve talked about on previous visits. Excellent service with a smile. Oh, one other thing. Jerry speaks most highly of the company he works for and the people he works with. Loyalty towards the company you work for is a plus and tells me that they know how to treat their employees right. Happy employees equals great service. Thanks, Jerry. Ill be asking for you again next time!!!

Pronto Plumbing is part of Secco Home Services, so you can look under that company for more reviews. They definitely live up to their name: I called at 6:30pm one evening and someone was at my door at 8:00am the next morning to fix the issue. Barry from Pronto Plumbing was great: very professional, honest, and knowledgeable, and he presented identification at the door. You will pay a premium for getting a qualified plumber at your house so quick: their prices are typically higher than the plumber down the street. But if your plumbing is failing and you need it fixed right away, you can’t go wrong with Pronto Plumbing. Another point to remember: you won’t get a quote until they come to your door, and there is a minimum dispatch fee (around $50) if you don’t go through with their service.

Pronto plumbing has serviced our plumbing needs for over 8 yrs, they always provide prompt service and experienced reliable technicians. They always go the extra mile in providing excellent customer service. Recently Jerry C. was working on a leaky faucet in my kitchen and was not familiar with the unusual faucet. Instead of just "winging it", he took the extra steps and contacted the faucet company who then provided him with the information he needed to do the job right! He even discovered that this particular faucet had been found to have design error causing our problem and that it was under warranty. He made arrangements to have necessary parts shipped to me so he could return to complete the repair properly !!

Called due to our sink not draining and we werent sure if it was from frozen pipes. They said they would try to come out that day but probably wouldnt make it until the next day. I waited all day to hear back from them at 4:15pm to find out they werent going to make it until the next morning. The next morning they informed us that we are not a priority right now because our pipes didnt burst and they didnt know when they would make it out. A good business wouldve said that right away. Its been three days since we have had a functioning sink and we have preemie twins at home with home nursing needs. Dont waste your time with these people. Find a plumber that cares.
