This is what every automotive service center should be about, honesty, integrity, and consideration. Some might call that, good old fashion service. This past Thursday, my 2012 GMC Acadias engine decided at 57,000 miles it was ready to retire and I didnt even get my 2 weeks notice. It just died a few miles from home. I managed to get a ride to Advanced Auto which is where all the service has been done, except factory major service intervals, since I purchased it new in 2012. Not only did Advanced Auto drive me back to my car, they but 4 quarts of oil in the engine and helped me figure out what actually happened. I drove the car back to Advanced Auto and Ike Johnson (the co-owner) helped me understand my options and suggested I contact the dealer. They could have talked me into having them replace the motor at their shop but instead, they encouraged me to call the dealer and helped me know how to describe what happened to the dealer. Ike provided me with receipts clearly showing all the oil changes they reminded me had to be done or else I may have missed one or two. As it turns out, the dealer could see how well the car was maintained thanks to the detailed service records Advanced Auto keeps and was happy to provide to me. The net result is that this morning, the dealer told me they will provide me with a brand new (not rebuilt) motor and it wouldnt cost me a dime. I cant thank Ike and Advanced Automotive Service Center enough for steering me in the right direction that saved me several thousand dollars. Thats what I call good old fashion

Having been through the usual nightmarish experiences most people deal with at some point with car dealerships service departments, I was fortunate to discover Advanced Automotive virtually in my neighborhood. My first encounter with Ike (the owner) involved a huge bill for repairs to a PT Cruiser that has been lousy from the get-go. So, why am I writing a POSITIVE review for this experience? Heres why- Ive spent thousands of dollars on this lousy car at several other shops and, without fail, still had problems with it. In contrast, Advanced Automotive fixed the A/C (works for the first time EVER) and made the car run like its a decent car. (We know its still lousy, but everything at least runs well now) Beyond that, Ike clearly felt badly about the huge amount of work that had to be done. He discounted a few of the items on my bill and CALLED ME to check on how the car was working. Where else do you find that kind of attention? I havent been anywhere for car service that can be compared to Ikes shop. I now plan to take my cars to Advanced Automotive for all of our repair and maintenance needs. You should do the same. Theyre efficient and convenient, they know what theyre doing and best of all, theyre HONEST!

I dont have a problem with their quality of work or their timeliness... BUT, instead of calling me in the morning to explain what was to be fixed, checked, added to the engine, etc. they called me in the afternoon to tell me that the work was done and the car was ready! I know several mechanics and usually they encourage you to get a second opinion. They also NOTIFY you with the work that is necessary or recommended in order to get an APPROVAL. So I called my dealership and they said the bill was high and that they shouldnt have take advantage of me. Anyway, I will not go back there simply because of the lack of formality... and the fact that they worked me because they think that I am some young kid that has everything paid for by my father, which is total crap. One or two hundred dollars is not worth the quarrel that would have erupted when I would tell them to undo their work.

I went to Advanced Automotive originally because it was close to my new house (back in 2010) and have not gone anywhere else since then! Ike & his team are top-notch professionals who actually care about and listen to what their customers have to say. Not only that, but they always have found the most cost effective way to complete the repairs, even being honest enough to say something like, "your car could use such and such, but it can wait for this long". I also have my kids go there and even my ex-husband is a customer now! I have never felt taken advantage of or as if I didnt receive the best car repair possible by this group - and trust me, I know the difference compared to places I had gone to prior to Advanced Automotive! As a special aside, Ike & his family are dog lovers/rescuers - which is an extra positive note in my book! :-)

Joe Ryan March 2012 After losing our mechanic of 18 years our neighbor highly recommended Advanced Auto and two days after our mechanic closed the heater on the car wasn working right. Ike researched the possibilities and gave me his recommendations but let me choose the course of action then he made the repairs. One of the hoses was leaking(which may or may not have anything to do with the first repair) but Ike took the vehicle back and spent a fair amount of time repairing everything completely at no cost to me. The heater works better than new and because of Advanced Autos work ethic, fair pricing and honest follow up to a problem, we feel we have found our new mechanics and look forward to a long relationship with Advanced Auto.

I just moved to the area, and after reading some of these reviews decided to try Ike out when I was having some steering and suspension issues with my vehicle. As a previous business owner, I always observe how other businesses are run. All of these 5 star reviews are right about Ike. Ike is a great guy that runs an honest, friendly, reliable, and customer-oriented auto repair business. Trust me, this is the place you want to take your car. Ike really cares about getting the job done right and making sure you are 100% satisfied with the service. The quality of service that Ike provided me with was worth every penny I paid him. I will definitely refer others to Ike in the future.

I needed a serpentine belt replaced and Ike and Tom took care of it. I had a loaner car to get me to work and home while my car was in the shop. The job was well fixed and the price was most appropriate. These guys know how to do a quality job, and they also understand that price sometimes plays a factor in a car getting fixed or not running and that is why I go to them because their prices are fair unlike some of those corporate ran car fixing shoppes. And Ike always makes sure to call before any repairs are made. Go with Advanced Automotive and talk to Ike and tell him Mark Rhodes sent you.

I went to get a simple oil change and was warmly welcomed when I arrived. Even though I had said I thought something was wrong with my car, they determined all I needed was an oil change and did not force any extra (unnecessary) service on me. I told one of the employees I came here because of the other positive google reviews. The owner then came out, shook my hand and personally thanked me. While my car was not worked on, if it did need repairs I would not hesitate coming this establishment.
