I have been taking my fiances car and mine here for years, receiving quarterly oil changes, yearly inspections and countless car washes. I have always trusted this shops mechanics and employees alike due to their trustworthiness and customer service. Today however was a completely different experience, and this shop has lost my long time business. My car was overdue for an oil change and inspection, so I took it to Mister Car Wash to get the services done. I failed the inspection due to my BRAKE light indicated on my dash, despite there being nothing wrong with my brake system according to the shop mechanic. He told me that there was nothing he could do and he had no idea why my dash was throwing a signal, but suggested a few local shops to look at it. I immediately took my car to Pep Boys for a second opinion and they told me that the brake light was no cause for a failure, if there was nothing wrong with my brakes it should have passed. I then took my car to Honda (I own a Civic) to see if they could give me any insight. The guy I spoke to at Honda said the same thing that Pep Boys did and suggested they take a look just incase; they found nothing and even went through the difficultly of researching the inspection regulations in order to confirm that it shouldve passed. When I called Mister Car wash to discuss what I learned they told me I was wrong and despite what other shops told me it still wouldnt pass but they would call me back. After well over an hour and a half they called to reluctantly tell me it was passable but it is a grey area according to PennDot. They ended up refunding me only half of the inspection despite wasting over 6 hours of my time and a $115 bill at Honda. I am extremely upset with my visit today and will not be bringing my families vehicles back here despite my years of loyalty to the company.

Im fine with the outside wash, but find the inside cleaning disappointing. When I first had it done, I was really impressed. My car was clean, inside and out. Two weeks ago I decided to "treat myself" to another complete - inside and out. When I picked up my car and opened the back door, the entire door sill had mud spattered on it. I mentioned it to the polite serviceman and his reply was - "Oh, we dont do that. We just vacuum the floor and dust the dash." This was not my experience in the past, so I had very different expectation. I called on the way home and discussed this with someone from the office. They said theyd bring it up to the management. It is not a good value for the money just to have a vacuum and a dusting of the dashboard (and windshield). As I got in my car, I said to the attendant, I believe that I need to go home now and finish cleaning my car, is that correct? He agreed with me.

Twice now I have brought my vehicle in to get a simple oil change. And twice now when I left there was something wrong with my car. The first time they FORGOT to put my coolant plug back in after getting the coolant flushed. Which resulted in transmission fluid all over my engine and driveway (so far hasnt come up). When I came back to have them see what was wrong, the part had to be shipped from NYC and took 3 days to get there. I had to leave my car at the lube shop... The very next time I brought my car for another oil change, I go to pull out and I get traction control alarms and lose power to my car.... Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I will never do business there again (even though I have "2 free oil change" passes which really dont pay for anything. Still had to shell out 45 bucks for an oil change that was supposedly free)

This place has really gone down hill since Mister took over from Cloister. You dont get the same service, products and wash youve gotten before. My biggest complain is that they put entirely too much tire shire on, and its down right dangerous. Im really surprised they havent gotten a lawsuit out of it. With a rear drive car expect your traction control to kick in at every turn. Id really recommend using one of the local touchless car washes, far cheaper and about the same quality for a non-hand wash. In addition to that, my wife has gone to the the quick lube for an oil change multiple times, and they really are no better than a Jiffy Lube. They do the same shtick, where they call you out and hassle you about products your vehicle doesnt need. Find a more reputable place.

Car wash: Prices are not good. Dont spend more than $30. Washing the vehicle: The wash is from machines and robots. When you pull up to the door before entering give some space so you dont hit the other car infront. Vacuuming the vehicle: I think it relies on the day. But if you really want it to be cleaned its better to have a professional do it or yourself. Overall rate (1-10) 4.5 Oil and lube shop: Be smart. Know your vehicle! If you dont they will tell you something your car dose not need. Prices is fair. Overall rate (1-10) 6.5 I go through the car wash and vacuum because i work a lot, dont feel like pro detailing my own car by myself and sometimes i go though so I dont have to do so much cleaning lol. Always go after there coupons and deals!!

Management is very bad here! Ive been coming here since it was called cloisters and started my monthly pass February 2015 never had a problem at all until February 2016, one of the young drivers pulled my vehicle into the detailing bay to vacuum it out and scratch both wheels on the driver side and they all stood around the vehicle looking at it never told me I thought they was admiring the vehicle til I got home and seen what they was looking at and management took forever to check the video cameras out and after said they will pay 50 percent but since theyre after market wheels they cant cover it! So does this mean if one of them kids crash ur car pulling it out they wont cover it? The machine didnt do it the employees pulling the vehicle in did it.

Ive been using this car wash ever since it opened. Its the best car wash in Lancaster County and its the best car wash Ive ever been to in the country. It seemed like a bit of a rough transition when they switch from Cloister to mister hotshine. However this last experience was phenomenal. Going through the carwash for the third time I felt I had to write this review. What car wash allows you to go through a second or third time for a basic wash? None. If youre dissatisfied with your automated car wash thats it pay again. Not here. I got the basic wash and they did not stop to I was completely satisfied. They went way above and beyond any of my expectations thank you all employees of Mister hotshine for preserving a quality Lancaster County Business.
