Upon buying the middle grade paint job, I was not properly explained the reason why it was cheaper than the top grade paint job. I was not told body parts such as the side skirts, spoiler, and moldings would not be removed to paint so the edges are uniform. They now show discolored edging. TONS OF OVERSPRAY. On the headlights when you pop the hood, taillights when you pop the trunk, most of the black weather stripping has a line of paint all along it, overspray in the door jambs...Taping and covering off a car is how the paint job will turn out. Obviously it was very poorly done. I sanded the car down myself of its original color (red/primer) and told the salesperson to include a touch-up charge of areas I did not fully hit. He charged me for light chip and repair which is apparently a lot less of work and not at all what I asked for, but he did not explain that at the time. Overall, I had to take the car back about 3 or 4 times just for things like hood drips marks, which I had to take back once they removed that AGAIN because they did not paint over it, they just sanded it down and didnt paint over it! The bumper has tons of knicks from stones being kicked up. A bit ago, I hit a deer which prompted the need for a new hood, radiator, and radiator stay, so I thought Id take it to maaco to save time between installation and paint. The radiator stay was aftermarket and included a nice, unique, low profile washer and bolt which they did not install, did not tell me they put it back in the empty radiator packaging box, WHICH I THREW AWAY, and when I went back to tell them about it the manager refused to reimburse me. The hood, which was newly painted, chipped in three spots and now has surface rus, which is odd, considering I had the old hood 5xs longer and through winter with salt and rocks being kicked up at my car, and yet the old paint never chipped on the hood. The side moldings and side skirts where the edges were not properly done chipped all along the whole piece from a GARDEN HOSE. Regardless, I was told I could wash my car as many times as I wanted, and it would be safe to use high-pressure car wash hoses. Thankfully, Ive only washed my car once away from my driveway. The grill they installed when I hit the deer left marks from installing it. They must have shoved it in with over-excessive force is all I can think of. There are plenty of rust marks all along the body. The paint is now about a year and a half old, but the same rust spots I have now have been there before the one-year warranty expired. I decided Id wait right before it expired to take it back in case more rust spots appeared, but of course, life doesnt pause for my problems, and its hard when you only have access to one car, and I missed the deadline. I was recently offered to have the side moldings touched up, but they refused to work on any of the rust spots, claiming it was underneath the exposed surface before it was painted. I feel its extremely unnecessary for me to be without my daily driver just for my moldings to be touched up when I can do that. So it wasnt even a warranty issue. If they would have charged me for the touch-up job I asked for previously, the rust would have been bondo-ed. So in other words, I paid for a new paint job with rust. My friend got a top-of-the-line paint job, and even he had numerous complaints, and took it back, and still was not satisfied with it but was sick of taking it back AGIAN, and AGAIN, and AGAIN. Hey Maaco, MAKE IT RIGHT! Every time I went there I was "wooed" with statements of, "We want to make sure youre happy, we want you to be able to tell people, this paint job was done well by Maaco." Well I have nothing good to say. I really dont. And Ive been wanting to share my experience so someone doesnt make the same mistake.

I will start off by saying please never come here and this is why. dan weigher the manager quoted me $150 to paint a bumper and trunk lid and the bill came to $290 with no explanation! and I went to pay and dan stated I couldnt use my visa because it a privilege to use my visa so I got cash which makes me think he pocketed my cash and my car sat at the lot for 5 days to get a quote and never got a quote. the paint job was so bad I am forced to have it repainted there was clear coat drips everywhere, dust mixed with the paint and it wasnt the color I requested . I will never step foot in there doors again nor will I do business at this location ever again. dan weigher is way to rude and has no people skills!! please dont go here save yourself the headache!!

Just went there to have a quote done for a car Im purchasing... the receptionist advised me id need to talk to *?*?*? (He was within hearing distance and saw me standing there) Guy was on his cell phone forever, then afterwards started talking to another employee, clearly ignoring me. When they were done with their convo the receptionist looked his way for the "ok" to send me over and as I turned he was rolling his eyes/shaking his head like It was this huge inconvenience to make business I guess. When I showed him a picture of the car I wanted quoted (and it IS a cheap car, Im aware...) he told me just to prime it is going to be "Ill guess $600" and that it was not worth it to have it painted. Wtf....? Great salesmanship

Maaco are a bunch of rip offs. They say they paint your car with what you want but you really dont choose. Shawn puts what he wants on your car. If its black base clear he will put on a single stage job any way because its more cost efective for him. I am an old employee of his and i have done very shady things and put my own morals aside for his bizness. I would never recommend going to his shops. Hbg and mechanicsburg. They are terrible ppl and do not care about you. I have quit working for him. I am not a sour or bitter person i left because of the the choices i had to make. I could no longer in my heart an in good consious do what he was doing. I have a name in this line of work and i refused to drag my name down for maaco.

I took my Jetta to Maaco of Mechanicsburg and Dan and his team did a great job for the money. They repaired a nasty dent in the hood that some yahoo give me in the Target parking lot while my car was parked. they took off without giving me any info so I had my car repaired w/o insurance. Dan quoted me a very fair price and the work was done exactly as he stated and on time. I would definitely use his shop again.

I had to get my car repainted, but the old layer of paint (that was sun bleached and looked horrible) was very tough to remove. But they were still able to get it off, and add the new paint to it. It looks very well done, and it was finished in a very reasonable time.
