I would like to start this review by clearly stating that Steve and his internal staff was awesome in helping coordinate my move. This review is focused on the franchise/driver who performed my move. Unfortunately it is 60 days after my move, and I have been unable to ascertain the name/number of the franchise the driver was working under, and I am forced to leave the review here. I was scheduled over the 4th of July holiday to move from Maryland to Texas for work. Steve was by far the most knowledgeable individual I spoke with when obtaining quotes for my move. I was quoted a two (2) day move due to the amount of items being moved, and my 200 driveway and the fact that they could not bring the tractor/trailer up to my home. When the driver and labor crew arrived, I detailed each room and the items which needed to be disassembled. I was told by the driver during the walk through that he thought that they could perform the move in one (1) day. I told him that we were fully prepared for a two (2) day move, but he appeared adamant about completing the job in one day. He even went as far as asked me as to when I could be available in Texas to receive the shipment as I was quoted a minimum of seven (7) days to wait for my delivery. I provided the laborers a few cases of water as it was extremely hot in Maryland in my refrigerator. I believe there must have been a miscommunication on my part, because they took that as they could help themselves to everything in my refrigerator, and they took that liberty. Included in my move was a 14 shuffleboard table and a pool table which I had professionally disassembled. I provided the laborers and driver clear instructions that I had provided them 15 full size moving blankets to wrap these items in, as I wanted them to remain wrapped when they arrived to my rental property in Texas. This request was completely ignored, and they wrapped my shuffleboard table in moving blankets which belonged to the driver which one of them had a metal brush embedded. This metal brush scratched my shuffleboard table. After close to at twelve (12) hour day, the movers had my belongings in the truck. The driver communicated with me during the trip and scheduled the delivery in Texas. Upon arrival of my belongings in Texas, I had prepared coolers with water as it was even hotter in Texas. The laborers completely ignored instructions as we walked through the home. Each box was taped and labeled with the room name which corresponded with signs I placed in the home denoting the rooms. Over 20% of my belongings were put in the wrong place. During the move-in process, numerous items were lost and/or destroyed. I had numerous large heavy duty plastic bins (which you can find at Home Depot) with the large yellow lids. These were destroyed in the move and United refused to reimburse me for them. The laborers did not use my moving blankets for the wrapping of my shuffleboard table and took their old, dirty blankets with them, and kept mine. I filed this as part of my claim with United, and was reimbursed, but not for the destroyed bins. To me, it does not make sense. Many boxes marked "fragile" were placed at the bottom of stacks of boxes with much heavier boxes marked "heavy". This was throughout the entire home, and there was complete disregard for my property from the labor staff. The laborers continually questioned me as to "who disassembled the furniture" as I repeated each and every time, that United workers had disassembled the furniture. It took three laborers and thirty (30) minutes to assemble a toddler bed, which they were ultimately unsuccessful. I had to assemble the bed myself. The laborers also left several television stands in-assembled along with shelving units. They lost parts to my two (2) glass office desks which rendered them useless, which United did reimburse me for. It was incredibly apparent that they were paid by the job, and not by the hour, as they rushed the loading process with very little regard to the condition or safety of my belongings.

Excellent experience from start to finish for our recent move from Maryland to Florida. Our estimator Dan was out first contact and my wife and I were very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He was head and shoulders above the others we met with. We stayed in contact with Dan until moving day when we met Jay and Becky our movers. They are personable, down to earth, hard working, and extremely knowledgeable. Their advice was invaluable. A $100 bill fell out of one of the pieces of furniture when it was being loaded and Jay promptly returned it to my wife. Linda was our move coordinator and she kept us informed of the truck and the delivery date the entire time. There was a small glitch when the van arrived at our new home in Florida but Jay and Becky had it resolved in an hour or two and the off load was quick and easy. We have been involved with Mayflower on one other occasion when several items were delivered to us in Maryland from California, and that crew was equally impressive. If I ever move again my first call will be to Mayflower. Karen & Scott Sindall

(This is the same as what I posted for Armstrong Relocations. Armstrong was the Estimator and Jack Treier was the Coordinator.) Hired movers for big items (furniture, beds, etc) for my move down the street. They scratched my dresser and nightstand up pretty bad and did not reassemble my chair or one bed correctly. They also seemed to unpack really slow to milk the last 2 hours or so. Spent almost $700. A supervisor called me before they were done and said she would call me the next day to see how everything went (which she never did). I didnt make a big deal about the stuff until I kept getting emails to rate their service. So I told them about my horrible experience and surprisingly got an email back from the president of their company saying he would contact me the next day to rectify the situation (which he never did either). So take my advice and hire a bunch of high school kids to move your stuff. They cant wreck your stuff any more than these guys and will cost you a lot less.

The movers knew what needed to be done to get items into truck. They had decided not to take computer desk apart due to fact that it wouldnt be stable. No walk thru at end with them at house moving from. They had house empty within 2 hours. They were willing to help if a certain piece of furniture would or wouldnt fit in a certain area. It started to rain heavier as they got to house moving too. They moved fast to get furniture into house without rain damage to sofa and recliner. Suede type on these 2 . they moved boxs in so fast i couldnt keep up with them. Lol. No the main man had a sence of humor that worked with me and family. Towards the end they seemed soo ready to finish job. I dont know if because some of my family stopped in on way home from work. They work in area. Or it was because it was raining. No walk thru at end of delivery. Reason why got 4 stars. Otherwise everything else went smoothly
