We have known Timothy Off the person since he worked for a former HVAC contractor who has since been bought out. We lost track of Tim after the buy-out, and we suffered through the contractor woes after that buy-out including the complete replacement of our heating and air conditioning systems. We quickly learned that local ownership and local service people were necessary to provide top-notch service. Then we heard that Tim had formed Timothy Off Heating & Air Conditioning Co. and we jumped at the opportunity to have him, his new company, and his service people service our heating and air conditioning needs. We ended our other relationships and began our new relationship. This was a difficult move because we had new equipment that was installed by others, but the others were not tending to things as they should have. Timothy Off Heating & Air Conditioning hit the ground running and we experiwnced a high level of service and a high level of quality, both of which have continued through today. We have gone through difficult winters, we have gone through difficult summers, and we have gone through difficult personal times, and each time Timothy Off and his company and his service techs were there for us to solve our problems. The level of service and the level of quality have made a "nice-to-have" relationship into a "must-have" relationship. We have never been left in the cold, we have never been left in the heat, and we have always found a friend at the other end of the phone when we call. They demonstrate the willingness to expand with the offer of plumbing services and then the air scrubber capabilities, and Im sure there will be more in the future. They truly want to provide the best for their customers.

I will admit that they do seem very knowledgeable and professional, but overall I had a negative experience. First their initial quote came at between $12,000 to $13,000 when I received two quotes from other providers around $8,000 and another that was $10,000 but that included electrical work and I could obtain a $1,000 rebate or in other words $9,000. I decided to go with one of the other reputable contractors that were $8,000. The contractor wasn’t sure if he could do it then Timothy Off offered to “help out” my contractor. He now came in 2 weeks later for over $16,000 or another $4,000 higher, which basically meant he was trying to screw me. Keep in mind that I was installing a smaller unit that the parts are around $3,000 total. If he tried to stick it to me when I was in a bind imagine what this company charges in the summer when your air conditioner goes out or heater in the winter. They try and charge top price and even get you when you are in a bind. I consider them unethical and hope if you read this to beware of this company.

Timothy Off (Owner) is a very reputable person. I have spoken to many people in the trades as well as residents of the West Chester, PA area over the years and they all respect his work and professionalism. Personally, I had a different HVAC company service my unit and that company tried to tell me I had some very expensive repairs that needed to be done. I was skeptical because the unit is not that old and has been serviced regularly. I called Timothy Off for a second opinion. Tim sent his technician right away and they confirmed my belief that I did NOT need the expensive repairs. Then Tim himself came to my house (for a 3rd opinion) and confirmed that I did NOT need the repairs. I was very impressed with that kind of attention and honesty. I would highly recommend Timothy Off HVAC to anyone in need of repairs / maintenance / replacement. In 2013 we needed a 3 or 4 estimates. Offs seemed to give us the most efficient boiler for the best price. We liked the fact that they are a local business and use American-made products. They are professionals, and so dont disparage their competitors, but clearly beat them with their price. Offs were great in that 1) They ALWAYS showed up on time (or, if running late, phoned us). 2) They are super polite, clean and respectful 3) Office contact is easy and responsive 4) They do the complete job and clean up, and follow-up to see whether you are happy with the work 5) If there should be an issue, they get right on it 6) They did not try to oversell us (e.g., we didnt need a new water heater at this time, but they moved and configured the boiler so that when the time comes, a water heater compatible with our new furnace can slip right in and 7) They added a few nice touches to the system We were very happy to do business with Timothy Offs company.

We have never written a review but Timothy Offs service was so above and beyond our expectations, that we had to stop everything and recommend this business. We have had problems with our sewer line for years and have spent so much money having people run a snake through and charge us a fortune, and then within the year, we have a back up again. Timothy Off came in with a lower rate than the local plumber we have been using, and they replaced our sewer line. At the time, there was so much rain, that the ground settled and caused a bit of a sinkhole and our pavers for the walkway fell through. We asked them to take a look at it, and one day we came home from work, and the sinkhole was filled BEAUTIFULLY and mulch and grass seed covered with straw was put all over the place. It looked so nice and saved us so much time, and they didnt even have to do any of it. We would HIGHLY recommend them and are grateful for their awesome service.

Tim Off installed our gas heater when we converted from oil to gas. His firm also provided plumbing services in conjunction with our kitchen and powder room remodel. The work was first class in each case. We had one little issue involving some duct work needed to relocate a floor duct in our kitchen. Tim was the consummate professional in our discussion relating to this and swiftly resolved the issue to our complete satisfaction. Every contact that we had with Tims staff has been exceptional. They are all extremely professional and just a pleasure to interact with. Previously, we had one contractor for our heat, another for our AC and still another for general plumbing. We are pleased to say that Tim is now our single source for Heating, AC and plumbing services. His firm has our highest recommendation.

I am happy to recommend Timothy Off Heating. I have been very happy with their services. Two things stand out: 1) Responsiveness - the technicians are very quick to respond to calls. Last summer, in the middle of a bad heat wave, my AC stopped functioning. My son was getting married that weekend, and we had several people staying over. Timothy Off fixed the problem within hours of my initial call. Very impressive! 2) Proactive Service - I am now on a service plan, where they contact me for routine maintenance calls. I did not need to remember to call them - they called me this summer to schedule a preventative inspection and check up. Their techs are knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They even wore disposable shoe covers! They understand SERVICE.
