I took my car in to be serviced on Saturday July 26, 2014. The two gentlemen at the counter were polite and attentive, despite it being 8am on a Saturday. I requested a complete flush and replacement of all fluids in my vehicle, except brake fluids (oil, trans, coolant, etc), as well as an engine tune up and replacement of all of my brakes and rotors. I brought online coupons for everything (from their website), which they cheerfully took and applied to my order. I stayed in the waiting room... After a little while, I was informed that none of my brakes needed to be replaced! I was surprised, but after speaking with the mechanic, I decided that he was right. That brake job would have cost me at least $200, so I appreciate their honesty! They also informed me that my coolant system was working fine and didnt need to be flushed, so that saved me a few dollars, too. And they told me that I didnt really need to change the fuel filter like I had requested, so I decided to put that off, saving me another $100. I was also informed that my car had another problem that was causing engine shaking and required new spark plugs and a valve cover. Since I had never gotten those parts replaced and had noticed the shaking myself, I agreed to add on that service. It was less than $200, so I was still going to pay less than I had originally thought. When informing me of this previously unknown problem, the mechanic and counter person were not pushy at all. They did not act like salesmen and I did not feel pressured. Im a woman in my 30s and I dont know much about cars, but they did not try to take advantage of me and I appreciated that. It took them 5 hours to complete all the repairs on my car. I had expected 6 or 7 because of all the things I had asked them to do, so that was fine with me. I hardly ever get car repairs done, so Im not sure if the price was high or not. I will let the numbers do the talking: Here is a list of some of the prices from the print out they gave me from my order: Oil filter - $14.99 (includes labor) Transmission flush and fill - $164.99 (cost of trans fluid not included, because that varies by vehicle, includes labor) Fuel system service - $137.99 (includes labor) Valve Cover gasket - $191.99 (includes labor) The mechanic working on my vehicle was 60 years old (so Im told). I dont remember the gentlemans name (sorry), but I can definitely tell a difference in the way my car runs now. Its much quieter and doesnt shake as badly (its 20 years old, so some shaking is to be expected). Its obvious that the mechanic was very experienced! He even let me know about a problem that might be developing with my door locks that I need to pay attention to. Because of his honesty when it came to the condition of my brakes, I saved $200 dollars. He could have just pretended like I was right and done those repairs, because I was certain that I needed new brakes! Also, while I was in the waiting room for 5 hours, I saw many customers coming and going. It looks like the place stays pretty busy. The men at the counter knew some of the customers by name and were very polite to everyone. I was wary of trying this place because of the bad reviews I saw on Google+, but the other place I called didnt return my phone calls or emails! Im glad I tried out Treadquarters because I live on James Island and having to leave the island to get car repairs is such a pain. Ill post another review the next time I get repairs done by them. I hope this was helpful!

Horrible customer service..... I called this location on Folly Road 2 weeks ago and was informed I could come in at 7:30 on the14th to get 2 new tires and that it would take an hour and a half to 2 hours to do 2 tires because the techs dont get motivated and wake up until after their 2nd or 3rd car, so I called the one in west Ashley and made a 7:30 appointment and was to work by 8:30. So now a week or 2 later I have to take my husband to work and be in Bennettsville by 2 to pick my daughter and still need 2 front tires so because my husband works right behind the James Island location I figured I would take my car their to get the 2 front tires replaced. I called on Wednesday made an 8am appointment to bring my car in for the 2 front tires since the 2 back were replaced a week before and asked for an alignment. I was never asked what size tires I wanted, what brand I wanted, how much the tires were nothing. While on the phone making yhe appointment the guy acted like he had no interest in talking to me about my needs, I kept trying to give him the tire size and was ovettalked and blown off and was just continued to be asked what my phone number was. I get to the James Island tread quarters this morning at 7:40 and am told I am not even in the system with an appointment, so I have to go through everything that could have been done over the phone when I made the appointment. The tech gets my keys and doesnt even know what vehicle he is looking for he takes my keys and goes to each vehicle in the lot and tries to unlock each car until he comes to my car and well the key works..... Never will I come back here again, I will go,to the west Ashley one from here on out...... If you want good car repair service go to Folly Road Auto right behind this store on Avenue A. This place here is not a mechanic shop and is barley a tire shop...... Update: its going on 9AM an hour and a half later and I am still sitting here waiting on my 2 tires to be changed..... The guy comes in and says we should be done soon we are just having a problem getting the tire on the rim... Are you serious???

This place does NOT deserve any "stars" at all. In fact, there should be a negative star option. We were from out of town and we took our car in last night to get looked at for an unfamiliar noise. They revved the engine for 20 minutes and the car was "losing power" and they stated that the spark plugs needed to be changed. We decided to go ahead and get it done and thirty minute into the job they had all of the spark plugs replaced except for one that they snapped off in the engine. They were closing in thirty minute so they needed to keep the car over night. They left us with no suggestions on hotels, transportation, food, NOTHING. They probably would have turned the light off at 7pm and said "see you in the morning!" We arrived the next day at 7:30am, when they opened. We sat there for two and half hours waiting. They were able to finish the job and sent us on our way. Not even a minute into the drive, the problem is NOT solved. We drove it right back and they informed us that it was now the wheel barrings. They said it would cost another $250 and they could not reassure us that it would be resolved. We left with hopes that we will make it home. The absolute worst customer service and the technicians are NOT CERTIFIED. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! Also just so everyone is aware, the labor rate is $114 an hour and youre also paying for the numerous smoke breaks while working on your car. Absolutely nothing was resolved. I made several phone calls and they were not returned. So I guess it looks better to write on reviews like the company actually cares about their customers, but not actually go through with anything. Do NOT ever take your car here for any work.
