The customer service was awful. I made an online reservation to rent a until for 12 months. When I arrived, I waited over 30 minutes to be helped without even being acknowledged by the representative. Since they were busy, I just patiently waited my turn. When a white man (I am a black woman) walked in sometime after me, she greeted him immediately, and told him that she would be right with him. When the rep finished with the two customers in front of me, she ignored me and immediately asked him if he had a reservation. After she took his information, only then did she finally address me. She asked him if it was ok if she processed his application at the same time as me- she never once asked me if it was ok. I ended up leaving after being rudely addressed after asking several questions about the contract. This company needs to be aware that their customer service representatives are a persons first exposure to their business, and when they are treated unfairly, it is not a good reflection of the company. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere.

Great location for storage needs in Upstate South Carolina. Fairly convenient location off of I-85 and I-385. They have climate-controlled spaces, which were a must have for us! I worked with Tracy over the phone and in person. She was prompt to call me once I started an online reservation, and she was able to make suggestions on storage unit size based on what my specific needs were. She had a great understanding of the units, what they could accomodate, and helped me find the perfect unit for our needs. Thanks to her, I went with a slightly larger space that what I thought I needed, and I needed every square inch of the space!! I appreciate that she was willing to listen and help me figure out what would best suit my needs. I didnt feel like she was trying to up-sell me on a larger unit "just because" - She listened well and asked relevant questions to help me make a decision.

I moved to this unit for the lower rate and signed after being told rent is only raised every 12 months. 5 months in I get a notice saying my rent is being raised and customer service informs me that it can be raised every 6-12 months. They also claim the rent is raised based on costs like electricity and maintenance which I find ironic seeing as Ive asked three times in three months for a lightbulb to be replaced in my building. They dont even have lights in the units. They could at least keep up the ones in the hall. I have been told to call the district manager who doesnt answer and has no way to leave a message. Id understand if I had been told this upfront but Im very frustrated with the lack of communication and clarity.

We had issues with another Public Storage facility in the area; moved from Illinois to SC and, less than 24 hrs before our scheduled move-in, could not get a firm confirmation on our reservation because of a clerical error. Corporate Public Storage was involved and moved us to this facility in Mauldin and in stepped JJ. She was very understanding of our situation and was sensitive to our frustrations with Public Storage as a whole. She was able to calm the situation and was very helpful during the move-in process. From one fellow Yankee to another...thank you JJ!! I would recommend this facility and your outstanding personality to anyone.

While I no longer have a storage unit,we are in the process of a remodel and JJ at this location has been great! Always pleasant,cheerful,and efficient,I was able to get the supplies I needed for example,boxes,bubble wrap,tape,paper,and boxes for china and glassware.This has made the boxing and moving of our belongings much easier! Although the office was small the smile was certainly big. Jessica was helping a customer on the phone when I arrived today but she still took the time to show me a great big smile and acknowledge me when I came in. When she had completed her business she helped me on my time frame thoroughly answering ask my questions and helping me get a great deal on boxes. After the transaction was complete she even loaded then in my car for me. I certainly would suggest this business if customer service is on the top of your want list.

This is my third time to use this location for my storage needs. I have had only good experiences with Public Storage & paticularly this location. The storage buildings and grounds are kept up very well. The prices are very good here and they always have a special going on. The property has adequate lighting for the evening time and overall you get a very safe feeling. Tracy (office) is very caring and professional making sure all your needs are met. I would highly recommend this location for any of your storage needs.

Having being displaced due to flooding in my neighborhood I was tired, overwhelmed, and almost in a state of shock. This was my third storage facility. Ms. Karen was kind, professional, and most of all- helpful. Karen is so knowledgeable. I described the amount of things we were able to save and she suggested the size unit wed need. She was happy to show me the unit. Service has been great from the moment I walked through the door until now. And the price was best of the three!

My boyfriend and I rented a space at this location today and we had a wonderful experience. Crystal was very helpful, she asked us questions and made sure we got the correct size unit which was great because this was something we were concerned about since we have never had a storage unit before and we didnt really know what we would need. The property was also clean and well kept. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone needing storage.

I loved this place because JJ is awesome. When I walked in she was warm and friendly. She showed me the unit and made renting an easy process. I found out the next day I didnt need the unit and while she said she could not give me a refund for the unit, she would take the lock back. That was a huge help. She didnt have to call me back to do that but she did. Thank you so much JJ. Youre totally amazing!

I am 32 weeks pregnant and sick with the flu, and was told i can not pay over the phone. I called JJ to get help paying online, she gave me the wrong password. The system to rset your password online is temporarily out of service. I called back three times only to get sent to voicemail. As a result i have to pay a fat late fee when im well enough to get out. Thanks for all your help Public Storage.
