Very disappointed in how this Firestone location has gone downhill. Several years both my husband and myself had our vehicles worked on there and we were very satisfied. January 2015 we suggested my daughter use this particular Firestone location and it has been one problem after another. She got new tires and new brakes and it cost her almost $1,000. Since then the brakes have squeaked continuously. She has called Firestone numerous times, taken her car back in and supposedly had the pads replaced, but yet the squeaking continues. Recently she went to our regular mechanic for an oil change and tire rotation. She mentioned the squeaking and he immediately said the type of brake pad Firestone had put on her car was prone to squeaking...especially the batch that was produced right before she had initially taken her car to Firestone. He suggested calling Firestone, explaining what she found out and ask once again to have the pads changed out. He also said if Firestone wouldnt make it right, then he would replace her pads, charging only the cost of the pads. When we took her car in for her, Bill the "managing partner" said "oh, she said she also needed an oil change and tire rotation." We told him that had already been done and thats how she learned about the pads being defective. He acted like he didnt know anything about this particular brand of pad squeaking but he would check everything out and call her. Later that afternoon she called and asked me to go pick the car up. She said Bill had called her and told her the squeaking was because the rotors were bad and she needed new rotors. My mechanic had already told her the rotors were fine. When we went to pick her car up it was still on the rack. Bill wanted to show me the problem. I refused and told him to put the tires back on the car immediately since we were told the car was ready to be picked up. It took about 15 minutes for them to do this...all the while knowing we were waiting. Very dishonest Firestone being run by people who dont know what they are doing and dont care that they lost not only one persons business but three. Will never do business with this location again and advise strongly that you dont either.

These people will lie to you! I don’t believe it’s necessary to lie to your customers. This time last year I took my car to Firestone in Greer. I got there as they were opening. I didn’t get my truck back until after 5. I was supposed to have had it by noon. I drove by at noon and my truck was still sitting in the parking lot. I called. I was told it was being pulled right then. It was a lie and it would be hours before it would be pulled into a bay. The story got worst from there. I’m leaving out a lot of details as my point is they lie. This year I have a nail in my tire, I also needed two more tires for a total of 3. I went back to Firestone to keep from having to buy 4. I called for an appointment; I was told to bring it at 9am. I arrived 10 minutes early. I asked of an estimated time and was told 1.5 hours, (90 minutes). I said that would be fine and left. I did a drive by 90 minutes late. The truck had not been moved. I called and was told the same story – let me check, on hold, it’s being pulled in now. I arrived back at Firestone 30+ minutes later. My truck was still sitting where I had left it. It’s bad enough the tires cost so much and that they try to nickel and dime you to fix or repair other things but why lie? If you will lie to be about when I am going to get my vehicle service will you not also lie about the service I need or if I even got the service I paid for?

We took my wifes car by about 11 am Saturday, they seemed busy but Jason said it would be ready towards the end of the day(close at 6pm) so we left it with my phone number. I never heard from them, this was just an oil change, so I called at 5:15 pm. Jason answered, put me on hold and came back to say" they are pulling it in right now, give me about 30 minutes and it will be finished. So we arrived about 5:40 pm. I noticed her car had been moved because it was not as I had parked it, so I thought ok they are finished. Went inside to get keys and settle up and Justin says" we ate fixing to pull it in". I said no thats what Jason Told me a half hour ago. So they lied then. Now I will be honest, Justin offered to change for free if I brought it back the next day but after being deliberately lied to, sorry I cant trust your company to work on my vehicle. I always go to Joey at Tires Unlimited but we were going to be around Taylors so I thought Id try this place close by where we were going to be, lesson learned. This morning we took her car to Joey I know he will have us taken care of. Justin you seem like a decent guy, run from this place as your reputation will suffer along with them.

satisfied with the tire replacement and alignment but not with the honesty. tried to be up sold upper ball joints due to being "loose" and causing a "steering looseness" which the vehicle never had by the way. unbeknownst to them i am a 20 year BMW technician that knows a few things about cars. i went to visually inspect the "bad" parts. i found no loose joints only that the boot surrounding the joint was torn (very common). the technician also stated to me that the joints were not loose but that the boot was torn. why not tell me that to begin with? i know companies make money from up selling work, but not unnecessary or dishonest work. this is what disgusts me about my chosen field. sorry for the tirade. just be aware. always verify these bad parts or make friends with an honest mechanic and ask their advice. dont let these people scam you out of your hard earned money. P.S. there is a large banner over the service advisers desks that is a quote from Hervey Firestone "Integrity is the cornerstone of customer service". LOL. i love sarcasm.

Disappointed Customer
I have been to many auto shops in the Upstate and this is the worst. The service manager (Justin) was sarcastic and rude to not only myself but ever other customer in the store. He would roll his eyes and make dirty faces behind peoples back. I used to be very loyal to only this Firestone, but swore I would never be back after this. I got four new tires and the service manager (Justin) told me he would let me know if I needed my tires aligned. The price of this was around $100 and I was never told they were doing this until it was time to pay. If you care about your car, money and dont want to be treated like a complete idiot go down the road (less than a mile) to treadquarters. They are much nicer and much more reasonable price wise. I am no longer a customer of any Firestone simply because of this. I asked for a refund on my alignment since I was lied to an was told they would " Do my oil ". Thats alright I would rather pay $20 than be treated like a buffoon.
