I quit using Matlock Tire in Farragut years ago. Originally, I could trust what they did. After what I understand was a change in ownership, their services went downhill. First my brothers wife drove away after a simple rotate and balance only to discover the lug nuts had not been tightened. Her wheels were actually moving and grinding on the mounts as she drove. My problem was that when I requested a rotate and balance on alloy wheels, I discovered after several months and several thousand miles that no balancing was being done. By then, the tires were so out of round that they could not be salvaged. Matlock Tire never told me that at that time they were actually unable to balance my particular wheels and tires - even though they accepted the job to do that. The problem was my alloy wheels required the glue-on type of balance weights. As best I can tell, Matlock did not at that time have any such glue-on weights in stock. They did nothing to balance my tires while taking my money and saying nothing. Never, never, never again will I risk my tires or my life or the lives of the people I love by ever returning to Matlock Tire. At the same time, perhaps in the last 8 years or so, Matlock has cleaned up their act. I hope so.

I received a call from my 22 year old son who was traveling from TN to MD and broke down on the i75 highway. Not knowing anything about TN, I did a quick Google Maps and looked up auto-repairs. I found Matlock Auto Repair and read the great reviews so I called them. They were the nicest people to deal with and worked between their two local establishments to get the repair done on my sons car right away. After his car was towed to Matlock I received a call from my son saying I picked the greatest repair center ever. I thought he was just kidding...giving me a hard time... but he wasnt. He said it was the nicest repair center he has ever seen and the people were so friendly they even offered to drive him and his friends out to find something to eat while the repair was being done. Best part is the car only needed a minor repair and the Matlock folks fixed it and had my son and his friends on their way home in no time. These people are honest, friendly, and good at what they do. They could have told us the problem was big and had us pay a lot of money for nothing but they did the necessary fix for a few dollars and had him on his way. Thanks so much Matlock! We wish you were local to us in Maryland.

I cant give enough high praise about Matlock. Came in today, with a bad jerk in my steering wheel, knowing that my tires werent in the best of shape. My front two tires were worn down enough to the point of being unsafe. They told me it would be about 45 minutes until they could look at my car, this was at 11 AM. I told them I had a very important sales meeting at 1 PM. Long story short, four brand-new tires later at a good price, I was on the road in 57 minutes. They kept me on time, but more importantly they kept me safe because they did not want me driving with tires that bad. Thanks to Mike for the great customer service and expediency!

Im from out of state but living in Knoxville for a short period. I recently had some new brakes put on and had a couple new tires I needed to have mounted and rotated. Gave them a call, said itd take about 45 mins. Was in and in in less than 30 and they mounted 2 new front tires, rotated the others to the back, and left me an extra for a spare. Didnt even try to sell me any extra services or nonsense, just exactly what I asked of them. Charged me $40 and the owner personally thanked me for coming in. Very pleased with the service, Ill definitely be back if I need any more auto services.

Took my car in for an alignment and was told both of my wheel bearings were bad and that I had to get them replaced before they could align my car. I declined the repair and took it to another shop and was told that neither wheel bearing was bad and there was no problem with getting an alignment. On another visit I called and had them order some General tires to put on my car. When I showed up they said that they had ordered the wrong size tires and tried to sell me some cheapo tires for the same price.

Wow. On July 4th my tire looked a bit low on air, so I filled it up, and came in here the next day to get a rotation. They found a nail in my tire and patched it for FREE?! People just dont do nice things like that any more. They probably saved me from having to replace a tire in the near future. The lobby is very nice and comfortable, and you can walk across the street to get food if it will be a longer wait. Couldnt be more pleased. This will be my new tire go to spot.

I dont know a lot about cars, so I need to go somewhere that I can trust to take care of my car and keep it running without overcharging me. Ive never left their store without them checking out every aspect of my car, and theyre cheap (I think they offer the lowest oil change rate in town.) Ive gotten more life out of my brakes, my transmission and yes, even my tires. They know what theyre doing and they know how to treat you without the typical car shop tricks.

Worst experience Ive ever encountered. Ive been there 3 times and everytime Ive gone the price has gone up from original price told. My company uses them for everything we do and I really dont understand why. Thats the only reason I went there in the first place. Never again will I step in that place. Im sure the employees are great, but the owner could care less about customer service or respect for that matter.

Excellent customer service! I had my oil changed Friday, and apparently there was a defective seal on the oil filter. I was driving, my oil light came on, and I immediately pulled over. I called Matlock and was told someone would come to where I was and bring oil and see what was going on. Thank you Brody for taking such good care of my vehicle! Im grateful for the excellent customer service.

I used to shop for tires here some years ago. I stopped convinced I could get a better deal from online sellers. Maybe that held true for some time, but based on my latest visit, I must say I am very pleased at the prices they offer, quite competitive. Plus you get free rotations and incredible customer care. My other car will soon be due for a new set of tires. I will go back to matlock for sure.

I took my work van here, as I had a weekend layover in town. My mechanic back home recommended I get my brakes worked on at some point, so I stopped here. Mechanic said they were fine -- plenty of life left in them. Ended up just getting a tire rotation. Super-friendly staff and plush waiting area. Noted for future service should I happen to be in the area again.
