I called around 8:30a to see if Precision Tune Auto had time to look at my car. The check engine light was flashing. They gladly accepted the car and assure me they will be able to get to it today. I called back twice and the lady behind the desk said they are still working on it. I called back a third time around 2pm asking if their was an update or will you be able to look at it today, the tall gentlemen told me he is unsure. Then I asked why didnt they just call me and inform me that they will not be able to get to the car today, and he said thats not his job. He mentioned that it was other cars that took longer and he was doing 3 things at once. I went to pick the car up a few minutes later, and the lady behind the counter was eating a half pint of ice cream and the tall man was standing in front of the counter and just slid me the keys. No eye contact, no apology, no nothing. I dont see how a company can thrive on poor customer service. A smile will go a long way. I only went to this location because it is very close to my job. The service at the William Cannon location is outstanding, This place can learn a thing or two from that location. Plus they are honest. I will be taking my vehicle there and he already informed me on the wait time. This Precision Auto need to have better communication, have more mechanics staffed on busier days, be honest to potential customers, and be friendly. I would never recommend this place, if I could give it 0 stars i would give them a negative.

Craig, Who runs the location off Braker (next to the Wienerschnitzel) is great. I believe his location is the last family owned location as the rest have been sold off(?). I’ve always had a good experience there. The parts and labor may not be the cheapest but is still way more competitive than the dealers. They always accept internet coupons which I redeem on their app for my iphone and I know they are a reputable chain which gives me an added peace of mind. One experience comes to mind as a barometer of Craig’s service. On this particular day it was raining and I showed up early that Friday morning to get an oil change. For some reason he said that there had been a slew of cars that showed up right before me. I told him I was willing to wait as I had no ride back to work. There was no one else waiting in the lounge and I had noticed that he disappeared for a spell. Next thing you know, after about 20 minutes later – he drives my car right to the door and tells me it’s all finished. What he didn’t tell me was that he took the car in himself and did the oil change and inspections as he knew I would’ve waited much longer for his mechanic to get to my car. Needless to say, that left an impression. So much so that I had to write this review.

granted, ive never taken my vehicle in for anything really major, but i recently got an alignment done. i just got into a minor accident when i hit a curb. not only did my car tend to turn to the right, but my steering in general was all messed up, and i was afraid i had damaged something. i took it in to precision and they told me an alignment was $79, which i think is good. after they looked at it, they said they inspected it and found something or another needed to be adjusted and would only cost like $20 more. maybe i sound naive, but i overheard the manager and the mechanic talking into detail about what was wrong, so im pretty damned sure they did what needed to be done and nothing more. every other time ive been there, theyve been nothing but SUPER nice and even offer to give me a ride home so i dont have to wait to get my car fixed. also, theyre not always swamped like pepboys or sears, so you dont have to wait two or three days to get your car back. save for transmission work or something like that, id say you can expect same-day service for pretty much anything else, as long as you go in the morning.

How do I give NO stars? Heres my story: This place is so convenient for me I decided to give them a chance even though these reviews are so bad. They told me I needed to do three repairs, I called and specified the two that I approved. They did all three anyway. I had to pay to get my car and called them to complain and for a refund on the third repair that I didnt authorize. They said they would refund me. Of course they never did, I called again for the refund and they said ok and of course they never did. They did an unauthorized and unnecessary repair to my car and made me pay for it. This is illegal but of course when it comes to car repair we consumers are unprotected. Oh by the way all of this came up b/c they were doing an oil change. Dont go here these guys really are crooks. I will be filing with the BBB.

Very dissapointed with this place. I made an appointment to get a simple oil change and inspection (I also want to mention that I made the appointment 3 days before). I made the appointment because I had to get it done during lunch, which I only have an hour. When I got there, I specifically asked if they could get it done within an hour since I saw there were other people waiting. The guy said yes, it wouldnt be a problem. An hour and 15 minutes later, no one had seen my car and I was still had another car in front of me. Dont accept appointments if you arent going to honor them and dont give me off time-frames when I scheduled it with you! Good location doesnt make up for poor customer service. They lost a customer here!

This is my first review of any place ever, but this place deserved me getting onboard and making a review. Ill put it like this, I have a 15-year-old van Ive owned since brand-new. It now has over 200,000 miles on it. I also have a 10-year-old truck Ive owned since new and it now has over 130,000 miles on it. Ive always brought my vehicles to this Precision Tune location and they do a great job. They are fair, honest and straightforward. I highly recommend them not just through my words, but through my actions as a long time customer. And mechanics that work on your car, its the same guys working their for years and years and years. They dont have some high turnover rate with fly by night mechanics.

Went here for a simple state inspection, they said it would be 45 mins to an hour. After an hour they still hadnt even started on my car, and the lady at the front desk had gone to lunch so I couldnt even get my keys back to leave. I was trapped there and running late for a meeting at work. She finally returned from her lunch break after I had been waiting an hour and 15 minutes, not only had they not started on my car, they had just pulled another car into the shop so I knew they werent getting to my car anytime soon. I asked for my keys back and left. I wasted an hour and 15 mins of my time sitting in their smelly waiting room for nothing.
