I bought a used car and was directed there with a receipt to get my keyless entry fob. This was over year ago. I showed up and was told it will take a while to program my car. I used my lunch time for this so I figured one hour would not be enough. I returned later. On my return it took less than 10 minutes to program my car and get the fob. I had to wait about 20 minutes before though. It was nearly impossible to get their attention since they were busily working on their stuff and clearly expecting you to know theyre busy. Very cold reception for a prepaid service in my opinion. Fast forward to today, the fob is not working even after having the battery replaced. I showed up and told them. He said the battery might be dead. I explained it had been replaced. He said then the fob is short or something like that. It needs to be replaced for like a $100. I mentioned that I got it from them. Their response was that the warranty was for 6 months. And without missing a beat he asked if I wanted to buy another fob for about $100. I declined and left. My thoughts: Does a fob have a life expectancy of barely over a year?? If I bought one for about $100 over a year ago and now Im back at your store getting the same thing, wont you bother to find out why the first one you sold me didnt last? It could genuinely be my fault and Im ok with that. But to hurriedly sell me a replacement without any attempt whatsoever to find out why is not a sign of good service. I can live with the cold attitude but not the negligence I felt.

Worst Service EVER.**Long story short I was told the cost to unlock my car would be $24+fees and they charged me $255*** I have never felt so taken advantage of in my life. I called them tonight because my wife had locked her keys in the car. I give them the make and model of my car and she told me the price would be $24 service fee plus labor. I asked her what would be the most I could be looking at spending when everything was said and done? She replied with nothing over $80. I said great and was told somebody would be there within 15 minutes. The guy shoes up one hour latter acting very rude and put out by having to work. Spends about 5 minutes unlocking the car and tells me that will be $255. I told him that I was told the price would be under $80 and wanted to know why the price had gone up so much. He told me because it was a hard job. So I pointed out that it only took him 5 minutes and did not seem to be hard at all. He told me it was a really hard 5 minutes and that the price they give over the phone is only a quote. Then he told me if I did not give him $255 cash he would be calling the cops. Do not do business with these people they are shady and will take advantage of you. There are too many good lock smiths out there to even bother with this one.

I have been using A1 Locksmiths for over a decade. My Criminal attorney brother and my father(deceased in 2007)attorneys,nine others, four judges and a state representative decided to settle their 12.01 FEDERAL Capitol crime(directly under MURDER.)using my inheritance.I am living on a stipend while they are using my money to pay people at places like defender(home no-security),and A1 locksmith.I spent 6k trying to get security, alas they actually made it easier for ANYONE to get in. 4 wills were stolen and rewritten to divert all money to my CRIMINAL lawyer brother.I have supported his wife and two teenagers since 1992,when I graduated from nursing school. He and his wife have made false allegations(absurd)and I have not finished regarding A1.I have to bar my doors and in quasi false imprisonment, because if I leave, they will get what remains.6K to A1, a safe I never had the master code, and locks that are push button, but I was never told the master code and it was opened within 2 days.My grandfathers Phi Beta Kappa key was gone.Because of an employee (who is no longer there, thank god) who promised to do what I felt was necessary, Valeria Ackerman RN/bc ANCC post my real name please.

I called A-1 on 2/28 because my 17 year old daughter was stranded at school because her key stopped working and could not start her car. I was quoted a price of $175 which included the service call, key and programming of the key. I authorized the charge and provided them my credit card information. When my daughter arrived home she presented a receipt to me for $297.68 and stated the technician told her a key fob costs more. When I contacted A-1 (Celeste) to tell them I in no way authorized the additional amount and a 17 year old legally could not either their response was that the person who quoted me the price was new and probably didnt know about the key fob. Honestly, their staffs ignorance is not my fault. They stated I could return the key fob but when I asked how in the world we are to start the car Celeste stated she didnt know. Aside from returning the key fob there was no offer made to refund any part of the charges that were not authorized. They should be getting a letter from the BBB soon as well. Not happy.

Horrible. Dont be fooled by the "Christian" tag nor the $24 service fee. We simply needed someone to come out and fix a lock that had broken in our home. We werent locked out or anything...just needed a broken lock fix. We knew there would be an additional charge for labor and parts but we still expected to see $24 on our bill for the service fee...not the shocking $75 that we were charged. Overall bill...$190 to replace a door knob. The 15 minutes is also a joke. They told us the technician would be out sometime between 1 and 5. Since this wasnt an emergency situation I was ok with that. I was not ok with the technician showing up at 5:30 without a courtesy call to let us know he would be later than expected nor a simple apology for the lateness. When we called to question the bill and complain about the lateness of the technician and our overall dissatisfaction we were told there was nothing they could do. Well, heres what I can do. Post this bad review on every possible place I can find online. Thanks for nothing A-1.

Katya. Locked myself out of the car. Called A-1, they said they will be in 15 to 20 min but they were on the spot in 1 hour. The technician was rude to me when I asked to make sure that there will be no credit card fraud while I was paying for the service. I just asked him to let me speak to a company representative the technician said that he will call the police to make sure they arrest me because I refuse to pay! I mean how is that for an answer! When I paid $95 for 1 minute job! I decided to call the company and tell them how rudely there employer treated me. If you think the A-1 will listen to your complains you are so wrong. The A-1 representative did not let me a chance to explain and to speak. She was interrupting me and was extremely rude and I had an impression that she was trying to shut me up. After 5 minutes of this talk I quit and really told to myself that the A-1 is the worst locksmith company I have ever uncounted and that I will never ever go to them again.
