My experience is similar to the Ian Davies Story. My battery light came and my car unfortunately shut down. I went there on Wednesday at 11/16/16 and paid for a full diagnostic test to find out what was going on. I told them specifically to check my battery, the wires connected to my battery, and my alternator. Which I was told the diagnostic test was going to cover all that. I waited patiently from 9:00 am to 11:00 am to even find out what was going on. They told me it was just the battery not the alternator. Then I told them to fix the battery which it cost over $200.00 just to fix. They told me I was all taken care of. Then I left and found out that my batter light still turned on. I called and said is it usual for my battery light to still be on when I just replaced the battery. They told me no and come back the check to see what was wrong. I went back today (11/18/16) and they finally told it was my alternator. I told them I didn’t want them to do anything to my car because it would cost me over $500.00 just to fix it. I was upset because I told them initially if it was the alternator I rather buy a new car vs getting it replaced again. I paid for a service (diagnostic test) to see what was wrong. I called the manager about the issue and his solution was to take the cost for the diagnostic test off the cost for the alternator. I decline that offer and told him it wasn’t good enough. He told me I have to contact you on Monday. So I gave a call to corporate and they notified me that they contacted the owner and he will contact me on Tuesday. Depending on what I get as a response, I might have to take further action. I paid for a service (full diagnostic test) which I didn’t really get any service from. Also paid for a service that I wasn’t going to pay for if the alternator was the problem. Thank you Christian Brothers for being kind to me and giving my bad service. Hope to speak with the owners soon.

Visited for an oil change, tire repair and State Inspection. Oil change was about double what I usually pay ($45) for a small car w/ regular oil. I asked them if the oil change included fluid checks. Clerk said yes, and receipt says they lubed chassis and topped off fluid levels. But they LIED to me, when I got home and checked, the windshield washer fluid was nearly empty and the coolant bottle was empty. Manager informed me that they couldnt test my vehicle for State Inspection because my cars computer was recently reset and hadnt yet run thru its cycles. But AGAIN THEY LIED to me and instead reported the test as a fail to the State. They dont fix tires so dont go here for tire issues. Will NEVER USE THIS CHAIN AGAIN. Intend to report this incident to the BBB and Texas Attorney General. April 07, 2016 - Upon further review, my engine oil was overfilled by approximately a half quart, which my manual says not to do as it can cause serious damage to the engine. And CBrothers filled my engine with semi synthetic oil after I specifically requested conventional oil. It would be impossible for me to trust this location or give them another chance after this experience. To clarify, they told me at the time of service that they couldnt test my vehicle for the state inspection since various readiness codes were not complete (i.e. catalytic converter and evap, etc.). But then they reported the vehicle as a fail. The vehicle didnt fail, the onboard computer wasnt ready to be tested - THE ONLY way for the readiness codes to be ready for an inspection is to drive the vehicle under various conditions until the computer completes the necessary tests and indicates that all the codes are ready. It turns out my vehicle manual has a very specific set of instructions to complete the engine cycling and readiness tests.

I received a $2,100 quote for what turned out to be NON-essential work on my vehicle. The salesman flat out lied to me that my struts were blown and leaking. I took them over to Brake Check and was informed that they were in fact, old, but not leaking. In addition, I was instructed that I needed 2 new rotors, but Brake Check had no issues at all resurfacing my perfectly good rotors and applying new brake pads - at almost half the price. I expected SO much more from a company that is touting Christian principles. It would seem that using God as a marketing ploy is not an indication of honest service. If you received a quote here, I highly advise you get a second opinion elsewhere. Any. Where. Else. Side note: I was referred here by DIscount Tire for their $59.99 alignment service. Dont be surprised when the quote comes back at 4X that amount. I also got this performed $70 less elsewhere.

Had battery light warning message and before we could make it home car broke down. AAA towed car to Christian Bros. Told next day that battery was the problem and they quoted and installed a new battery and said alternator was fine. My wife was in the car later that day and battery warning light came back on so drove back to Christian Bros to have it checked out. Now they said the alternator was faulty, but they advised ok to drive over the weekend and bring car back on Monday quoting just under $1,000 for the replacement. On way home the car broke down again but this time whilst in motion the power steering went etc. and was impossible to drive and narrowly avoided having an accident. We got quote for replacement alternator from Pep Boys for 1/2 Christian Bros quote. These guys are rapacious but more importantly dangerously negligent in their advice. Beware!

I still can’t believe it. I have never felt more comfortable and taken care of. The facilities are very clean, and the waiting room is comfy with that homey feeling. I spoke at length with both the owner and manager and they are lovely, well informed kind Christian men. They are not looking to take advantage of anyone. I highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive in White Rock… I fully intend to return there for all my car needs. I went in fully expecting to spends hundreds of dollars on my breaks. I ended up leaving spending 39.00 for my yearly car inspection. They said its common for Toyotas to squeak with the heat that we have been having. I will need them eventually, but right now they are not necessary. How many of you out there have ever had that experience? Honesty and Integrality is hard to find, these guys had both!

My ABS light was coming on my dash and i assumed that I most likely needed a brake job. I dropped my truck off and came back to be told that I still had plenty of life on my brakes and no pads or works was necessary. As for the ABS light, it was a faulty relay...which I elected to ignore since they cost $$$$. CBA could have easily gotten a brake job out of me.....instead it was a zero charge visit...WOW....an auto shop that is actually honest! When leaving I ran into an old man that had been going there 6 years and he said that they actually worked out a payment plan for one of his costly repairs....what other place would do that in Dallas???? Dealing with the public is hard enough....but this place is a ray of light in an otherwise dishonest world. You have my business for life (that is, if I dont move)....
