In the past I have got good service from this location. How things change! I would NOT recommend this location to anyone. My experience - I dropped my car off (03 RAV4) on Friday - I believe with a small and specific list of needs. I told them that I had to pick it up by End of Day on Sunday because of an out of town trip on Monday. The main 2 items on my list were: Check brakes and power steering. I told them that I thought that I had a bad power steering pump. They checked the brakes and told me they were OK - after my experience I am going to take the auto to another shop and get another opinion. In regard to the power steering - This is kinda a story to tell. 3-4 months earlier I had them do a front end alignment and they said everything was OK. The power steering rack is part of this check up - just keep this in mind. On Sunday they ended up not getting to the power steering, because they told me they could not get the part. I kindly - after voicing my dis-satisfaction took my car and left this location. I had a friend work on the power steering for me. He found a large leak in the power steering rack that ended up being a gasket. He repaired it and filled the power steering back up and everything was OK - no pump required. In other words I believe that this location would have been happy to sell me a power steering pump and labor for something that was not needed - I would have still had the leak and the loud noise from the power steering. And then I believe they would have told me that the entire power steering rack would have needed to be replaced. The gasket was a 20 dollar part! I am not sure if this is bad time management, incompetence, or just a lack of caring about the customer or the safety of the customer. This auto is driven by my wife not myself. I believe that it is not just the mechanics that are bad, but also the management. I forgot to mention that I never got a call from this location in regard to status. Every call that was made was by myself... and I always had a gut feeling that I was going to be disappointed. I will not be using this location again, and I have done ALLOT of business with this location in the past on 3 vehicles. I just read some other reviews that people stated they did not know of other options for auto service. I am going to list a few that I have dealt with here in the Wylie area. Please look at their reviews as well. I believe that the warm fuzzy from the other reviews should be better than this Firestone location. JGs Auto and Tire - Wylie, Happy Motoring - Wylie, and Christian Brothers in Murphy. Please do not feel that you have to give this Firestone location a try because you dont know of other options. DISHONEST AND INCOMPETENT. Do yourself a big favor and just drive right on by the Firestone Auto Care Center in Sachse, TX. Besides being a bunch insidious cross-selling and up-selling marketing crooks, they have a staff of incompetent mechanics. Dont risk your hard-earned money, let alone your safety. My story: This Spring 2011, I took my sons Maxima in for a standard $159 rear brake job. After disassembling the rear brakes, Firestone advised me my rear calipers were failing and they would not replace the pads or turn the rotors without their replacing the calipers too. Of course I want my sons car to be safe, so I cringed, took Firestone at their word, and forked over the $500+ they charged me. After just a couple days of driving the car my son mentioned it was now making a new, never heard before noise/vibration "chatter" sound from the rear wheels during gentle braking. I drove the car carefully to make sure–it was. We immediately took the car back in to Firestone for them to correct the issue, and after a half-day of diagnostics they tried to convince my son it was some B.S. about loose bolts on the suspension or frame. They even suggested it was the fuel pump. LOL. In short they had absolutely no clue, and utterly refused to admit it was the brakes they had installed–which it obviously was, due to the sound was ONLY OCCURRING DURING BRAKING!! Knowing their answer was total lies, but having no recourse do to the fact that they would not offer to refund or make the brakes right, I took the car to our long-time trusted family-friend mechanic. He is very expensive, but as I found out, worth it. He quickly identified that Firestone had installed the WRONG TYPE OF BRAKE CALIPERS THAT DID NOT CORRECTLY FIT THE CAR (they were the cheapest junk parts available from Autozone). What was even worse to discover, in fact, was that one NEW rear caliper they had just installed was NOT EVEN FUNCTIONING. My mechanic friend was able to easily tell because the brake rotor surface was covered in rust, which the brakes when applied during normal driving will wear the rust off, leaving the rotor shiny metal. My mechanic also measured the rotors Firestone had resurfaced and found they were asymmetric/uneven and out-of-round and were too thin to correctly true. So finally, after ANOTHER $700 brake job by a QUALIFIED mechanic, which included all new calipers, rotors and pads, I now have a car with a $1200 rear brake job on it! It was a very expensive lesson. Finding out that FIRESTONE AUTO CARE SUCKS cost me about a $1000 more than it should have. I offer the same lesson to you for FREE.

These guys are thief to say the least, my wife took her vehicle for a simple oil change and they told her that the tires on her SUV are hazardous threads on the tires are gone and they are not even safe to drive so she had the tires replaced (approx $2k) I was out of town by the evening I came home and went with her to collect the vehicle and asked them to show me the tires which were on her SUV before replacement and anyone can tell those tires had easily 25-30k Miles left on them but the damage was done and they refused to issue the refund but I decided that I will see if this is their way of robbing people, so I requested two of my friends to get their oil change at this location and guess what both of them were told the same story, their vehicles needs tires replaced and an estimate of 2K+ for both, whearas one of my friend had tires still under warranty from Costco not even 6 months old with less than 20K miles on them, we were shocked to see how they are robing people, to further iron my doubts I went there myself this time with a loose part in my steering knuckle assembly which my dealership told me that it will fix as a courtesy ($0 charge) and I was given a quote of 1K+ and was told that both of my front struts and sway bar needs replacement, when I said they might be still under warranty from my dealership so I want to check with them first, they tried to convince me that struts are never covered by any warranty (which is not correct because my dealership confirmed that they will cover my struts labor+parts), no need to say what did I do this time These guys should not be trusted for even a penny and dont fall for their professional and polite attitude, I have seen their real face upon confronting them for wrongly changing the tires of my wifes SUV, if you have any doubt go there for an oil change :-) Oh, almost forgot to mention the oil change for which my wife went there for the first time, they had the oil seal broken and refused to fix that it later, I am sorry I have no other words for them other than "Thieves"...stay away if you dont want to be robbed....
