UPDATE!! UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!! IM UPDATING MY REVIEW I POSTED OVER THE WEEKEND, IM GIVING CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AUTOMOTIVE 4 STARS NOW!! The only reason there not getting 5 stars is Because of the unacceptable service I received Initially. I received a phone call early Monday from Management, and the manager addressed My complaint and assured me that anytime Anyone has a conflict or problem with the Service it will be immediately escalated to A manager, and apologized to me for any Inconvenience. The manager also REFUNDED ME ALMOST ALL OF MY MONEY BUT 46.00 DOLLARS!! Bottom line Im Whole Again!! I WANT THANK CHRISTIAN BROTHERS FOR MAKING THIS RIGHT!! If I could rate no stars I definitely would!! Took my GMC Arcadia in for AC Check Because it wasnt cooling like it should. I dropped it off @ the shop in Allen, tx @ Greenville and Stacy RD, so the guy Who was helping me (Colton Wheeler) Said that it would be 46.00 dollars to check It out, I said ok and I got dropped off back Home. Maybe 10 to 15 Minutes later Colton called me back and said that the Tech had checked my SUV and it detected Leaks in my system and the price to fix it Are you ready for this!!! 641.00 dollars. Not Having that much of a chance to think About it I reluctantly said ok, and was hung up On before I was done kind of ponding the Whole situation. About 10 minutes later I realized I had made a mistake and I needed A second opinion. So I called back maybe 10 minutes before closing, and I said I wanted to pick up my SUV because Colton said that They wouldnt get started until tomorrow. Colton said whats the problem, and I replied Thats to high of a price to pay! He says what Is a price thats comfortable or fair to me, along Those lines. I said you guys are too high I just Want to pick it up. He says well I can give you a 50 dollar discount, I told him that I want to pick It up and get a second opinion. He says, well Sir Im hate to have to charge you to put this car back together!! I said to him, you told me that you were going to start to work the next day!! On top of that I called no more than 5 to 10 Minutes later after I told him to proceed and He told me that the techs were shutting Down for today and starting tomorrow. He was basically threating me with GHOST CHARGES that I was suppose to pay 46 dollars For! Colton said to me I can lower the charges Even more, he said I can take about 100 dollars Off and make the price about 545.00. I told him to proceed but I wasnt happy at all!! It seems to me that was a SCARE TACTIC THAT THEY USE by telling me he was going to charge me the 46.00 dollars I agreed upon Plus extra charges for the so called reassembly. Further more I called Colton The next morning asking him what was the Exact problem with my SUV and what parts I need to fix my problem. He says I need a special AC UNIT TYPE OF HOSE THAT HOLDS ALLOT OF PRESSURE, I said ok and told him To put the old part ( the hose) in the car when There done. Basically I wanted to see if they Actually changed anything, if they actually done The work. Why come COLTON CALLED ME BACK LATER AND SAID THAT HE WOULDNT HAVE A PART TO GIVE ME BECAUSE THEY NEED TO USE MY OLD PART BECAUSE THE NEW UPDATED PART DIDNT FIT MY CAR! He said they would make my old part like New by changing the rubber part and putting The same metal parts back on so it would Fit, and I wouldnt have to pay for the extra Labor for outsourcing that work. Why come I Got CHARGED 400.00 in just labor!! And 145.00 In FREON!!! LISTEN TO ME!! THERE IS NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CHRISTIAN ABOUT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS!!!!

Im putting my negative experience back up - their manager called me last year and talked me into removing my initial bad review of this location and now I regret taking it down. My wife and I had a vehicle with power steering issues. We ended up having the power steering system replaced and all related fluid flushed and replaced. About 60 days later, were back at this location for an oil change and the advisor (or mechanic?) says "You need to have the power steering fluid flushed and replaced - its really, really dirty" (in addition to a laundry list of other "suggested services"). "Really?" says I. "How much will flushing and replacing the power steering fluid run?" I forget how much he quoted me. I asked "Doesnt the fluid get replaced when the power steering system is replaced?" "Yes," says he, "but ya gotta flush and replace it every couple years." "Fine," says I, "but in just two months? You guys replaced the power steering system on this vehicle two months ago." Silence from the advisor. Christian Brothers contacted me after my negative review with an offer to re-flush and replace the power steering fluid on my wifes car, except the damage had been done. Why would I ever trust them? Either theyre crooked and never did the original work (i.e., never replaced her power steering system yet charged us for it) or theyre crooked and have their employees suggest unnecessary work to raise revenue.

There was nothing honest or dignified (or Christian) about their business. Dont let the kind attitude fool you. Heres why. In January, unbeknownst to this Allen location, I obtained one quote from another Christian Bros location a week or so prior to getting an estimate on a brake replacement job here closer to my house. Bottom line, they tried to charge me $100+ more for the same parts and LESS (yes, less) labor. This dishonest and needless surcharge represented over 30% of the total estimate. I called them out, the guy got nervous, he asked to see the quote from the other location. He then called the Irving location to verify, as if the quote I showed him was photoshopped, or as if I was being as dishonest as they were? He talked to the other location. He turned red. He was caught, embarrassed. But not contrite. He just laughed and said "good thing you have that other quote." Wow. What a sham. And an unfortunate misrepresentation of Christian values. Wolf in sheeps clothing. I had the repair completed (didnt have more time to shop it around). I now feel like I need to have their repairs double checked to see if they installed OEM parts like I paid for or swapped for cheaper parts, behind the scenes, to pat their margins. Theres no evidence to think they wouldnt.

I cannot say enough great things about this location! My AC broke again and I knew I had a two year warranty. I went to a different location at first and found out I would have to wait 1 hour to have my car even looked at! Then they said they would have to run test that would cost me $200 to check the compressor. (Which was replaced 4 months ago). Long story short I figured out that the Allen location had originally fixed the AC. So I gave them a call and Bryce told me to drive on over and he would start working on my car right away. He ran all the test at no charge under the warranty. There were a few hiccups and it took a while to figure out what was wrong with my car (totally not their fault). But we finally got it fixed! Even though this location is 40 minutes from my house, it is totally worth it for the customer service I received. They have a customer for life and my family and I will use them for all 6 of our cars from now on. Also, on a side note, Bryce bakes the best cookies. Just saying! Thanks Christian Brothers Allen! You guys are a life saver and a blessing in our community!
