as an esthetology student (their facial program) I would like to give my point of view from a part of the school that is rarely mentioned. Do not go to Ogle if you want to be in a professional environment because a lot of the staff are just downright immature. The phase one esthetology teacher Ms.Lucy Ruiz picks her favorite students and grades based on the students that are her favorites (strangely they always happen to be hispanic or white and I am hispanic so I speak from a place of seeing this happen daily). If you want to know what its like to really work in a spa then go to a real school that will focus more on esthetology and less on the cosmotology students. They have made changes and even fired the other esthetology instructor but they needed to just start the whole program all over again with new teachers and a fair policy on how they treat their students.I never have been someone that causes trouble or complains about much but I want anyone considering this school to please look at other schools first because I hate that I wasted my money. The esthe program has many different areas such as waxing, facials, makeup and eyelash tabbing but if you mention that you lean more towards the makeup end of the program then you will receive a lower grade for not conforming to "loving facials". Ive never been around such immature "adults" (and I am speaking on the staff not all of the students). If you are over 21 do not expect to be treated as an adult either because a lot of the rules are outdated and probably difficult to comprehend if you have been out of high school for more than three years. Im not trying to bash Ogle for any personal reasons I just wish someone would have warned me what this school is really like.

Wost Rasist School, getto instructors & extremly unprofessional environment. Ogle is one of my worst expereince, I hate the fact that i am stuck there and cant wait to finish. Instructors are very rasists who have their own favourits list and if u are not in that list, They will make your life hell .. I hate the assistant director who is just a puppet, who is never ready to listen to students and help them out who are serious and want to be educated. They will make ur life hell about freaken uniform policy and all kind of bullshit but when it comes about education, Instructors will have their favourite students in class rooms offereing them services and new students will be looking at each others faces .. I hate that school and will never recommend any one to go there, especially if u are a professional, never think to get stuck because they will never understand your professional committments over their studip childish polices. If u are not american, never think to go to that horrible place because every one will treat u like shitt, espeically instructors ..

My daughter was supposed to start school here yesterday. On her way she was involved in an accident that was minor but the other party called the police so she had to wait for the police to come. My daughter immediately called to let them know she was involved in an accident and would be late. The response was you can no longer come to the school because you missed the first day. I guess she was supposed to leave the scene of an accident to show up at school. When my daughter called they said how do you plan on coming to school? Her response was we have 3 cars I can get to school I just couldnt be on time yesterday because I had to wait on the police. I think this is ridiculous that they will not let her start school. They expected her to commit a felony and leave the scene of an accident to show up at school on time. Hopefully someone will read this and be able to help if not I will be contacting a lawyer.

If you are thinking about going to this school, Think again, they have the WORST education, they will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money, Admissions is a joke they hold you hostage in the office when you just want to tour the school asking you a thousand questions to make it seem as its up to them to ALLOW you into their school. When in reality as long as you have a blood pressure and the 100 application fee, you can sign up. Do your self a HUGE favor, LOOK around before you make up your mind, thats if you can get out of the door, because the admissions I mean sales people will not let you out the door with out trying to talk you into signing up! I was in the program for 2 weeks and left, it was that bad very unprofessional and I was treated as a child if you are late they will kick you out ony to allow you back if you may another 100! Look elsewhere! Do not be fooled.

This place has not gotten better over the years. In 2004 I went to have my hair cut before giving a scheduled birth the next day. The techs started talking about someone having a dead baby right in front of me. I actually had to tell them that was so inappropriate given my condition. Ive never had a great experience from Ogle. The students act like there is a party going on or they are hung over from a party . The instructors seem rude with a stick up there bum. I took my 5 year old in for a manicure while my 10 year old son got a hair cut..just last month. The cut was horrible and the instructor was not trying to correct it or be pleasing to me at all. The girl who was giving my 5 year old a manicure seemed very depressed. You can always here inappropriate conversations going on. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Ive gotten about 10 haircuts at Ogle in the past five years. A couple of the haircuts are the BEST I have ever had, and a couple have been so terrible that I wore a ponytail for a month. However, the price is right - I dont remember exactly what it is, but Im sure even with a generous tip Im out of there for under $15. I also go to Toni & Guy and have gotten both good and not good haircuts there but never get out for less than $55. For the $40 I save, Im willing to take the risk. If you are someone who will be mortified with a poor haircut, dont got to a beauty school to get your haircut. Ive also gotten a pedicure there and it wasnt anything fancy - I think they just had a bowl of water and a couple of colors to pick from, but, once again, it was SUPER cheap and much better than I could do myself.

I just got from this school, or what ever it is. Very upset, nobody knows what they are doing. Work that takes 20 minutes it took them 4 hours, and I have been before in this kind of school so I know how they suppose to do it, and how much it cost. The stuff is rude. If you want to be in the ghetto, see gold teeth, dramas, spend 4 to 6 hours in the chair with a student who doesn’t have a clue what to do. The instructor can’t wait to go outside have a cigarette and then come and play with stinky hands in your hair….. Go ahead. For me it ruined my day, I fill miserable, and for money I spend I could just gone to a nice hair salon and be happy.
