WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!! January 16, 2012 (5:00pm) I brought my truck in for a simple oil change and tire rotation, for which I supplied my own oil. After the service was complete and the technician went for a required test drive (6:00pm), he mentioned that the brakes were warped and needed to be checked/replaced. Upon getting in the truck and driving home, I noticed when I would apply the brakes, they acted as if they were warped but the truck DID NOT have this problems when I brought it in for the service. The truck would shake violently when coming to a stop. Heres the problem... At 6:15pm, I called the "manager" Greg, and told him what was happening on my way back to the store. He said he could not take this ride because he could not leave the store (he was the only employee there at this time). Upon arriving, 6:20pm, 10 minutes before the posted store closing time, I saw him pulling out of the parking lot on his way home. I got out of my truck, and used my flashlight to see if I could find something wrong with the wheels. The technician that completed the service earlier ACTUALLY STOPPED when he saw I was back in the driveway and we discussed what the before and after condition was. We parted ways and I brought my truck back to the store January 17 morning at 7:45am and Greg the "manager" and I took a test drive. Upon returning to the store, when discussing the path forward, I was told that I have an attitude and shouldnt have said their technicians "didnt know what they were doing". (which was not said, the technicians work was fine, something was just incorrect and he was willing to fix it the next day). Basically putting words in my mouth. I even offered to pay for any labor to take the wheels back off the truck and again I was given an attitude I never have seen from ANY service organization. The "manager" TURNED HIS BACK TO ME AND WALKED BACK IN THE STORE. Needless to say I am currently researching the owners contact info to discuss this issue further... (Oh, and it never was said during the conversation with the "manager", but I am a diesel mechanic who likes to work on his own vehicles, just didnt have the time that week) To be continued...

I brought my car in for a high mileage oil change and to have a squeaking belt diagnosed and repaired. When they called me back to tell me that my serpentine belt needed replaced they also recommended a few thousand dollars of work, shocks and struts all the way around, power breaking, steering and coolant all flushed, new wipers, air filter, complete tune up etc. The car is over 10 years old. But you want to try to upsell an oil change into a few thousand of and parts and labor fine, but it made me suspicious of the integrity of the institution. So, I looked at my itemized and saw a 20 dollar charge for a warranty I didnt agree to and wasnt asked about. The belt has a 3 year manufacturers warranty. What exactly am I warranteed against? My oil breaking in 800 miles? Or just the risk that you install belts with the same attention to detail you give customer service and billing. I guess anything to squeeze a few more dollars out? I called the corporate office. They wont charge my card back, they said I have to drive back and take it up with the manager. Just find somewhere else to take your car. Theres plenty of places. This one seems too eager to make a buck any way they can.

Beyond upset! I brought my car here to replace my starter. I was initially quoted 2 hours of labor and a cost around 228 as I was taking my own part. My car was worked on less than an hour and charged 170+. When I inquired what the hourly cost was I was informed it was 114. I asked why my cost was so high due to it taking less than an hour. I was informed that many times the mechanic works faster than what they system has them to work and there was nothing that he could do about it. So I have paid for time that I did not even use???? What kind of business treats their customers like this? So less than a month later after having them put the part on I start to experience the same problem. I take my vehicle to another shop and find out that the part they put on is BROKEN due to the way it was installed. Thanks to this company I am now have to pay again for the same service. I will never return due to the unfair and unreasonable price system along with the lack of skills and knowledge of working on vehicles

I have a 1999 Lincoln Navigator that I had towed to Pep Boys to have a broken ignition switch replaced in the steering column. While was vehicle was there, I also had it tuned up and inspected for other items that needed to be repaired / replaced due to its age. The mechanic did an excellent job going over my entire vehicle and recommending work that needed to be done. The Manager, Jonath, was extremely nice and very helpful! He regularly kept me updated on the status of the work being performed to ensure I knew everything that was being done. I could not be happier with the quality of the service I received!! I would highly recommend this Pep Boys to anyone needing automotive work. I will continue to use this location for all my vehicle services and maintenance.

Terrible, terrible and terrible! I have used PepBoys in several states and gotten my cars inspected in 4 different countries. However, in my recent exchange with this one on Jones Road, I have never experienced as much lack of customer service. Pointers... * Employees did not show any willingness to help * Employees took all seats in the waiting area for more than 25 minutes * Employees do not give the same instructions * Incorrect paper work given * Employees harsh language, body language, improper usage of word and aggregation * Safety concern Short said, serious lack of management and be aware of second guessing their work. I ended to go across the street and got all my car issues fixed in less than 15 minutes.

Horrible , After spending an hour and 15 minutes on a Sunday afternoon, all I got was incompetence from some boy at the counter who had terrible customer service skills. Went there to get an inspection sticker for a work truck. The manager said there was one person in front of me then I would be next. An Hour and 15 minutes later, the Manager (kid) said they were out of stickers and that there was nothing he could do, and that it was not his fault.....Hmmm, I wasted another 5 minutes explaining how it was his fault even though it was unintentional......He didnt get it. NEVER AGAIN!! The only reason for 2 stars is that the waiting area was nice.

Not anything negative to say about this shop. They take care of my vehicles when they require services or other preventive maintenance. Also, the technicians are well educated and know their automobiles. I would like to publicly thank Bruce and his team for always delivering great customer service at a competitive price. I do recommend Pepboys on Jones Rd. to friends or in this case the public. *If you do happen to visit this shop and happen to have an extended stay go across the street for some Thai food or down the street to BYG while you wait. Make the best of your car service experience. Chris 6/23/2013
