A service call was placed at 8:30a.m. No one arrived until 1:15p.m. despite having an a.m. service window (9a-1p). The service required was on a Sub Zero ice maker. Ice was being produced but water was leaking into the receptacle causing an ice block. Firstly, the technician opened the fridge and commenced work allowing ice and water to drop on the wood floor while he disassembled the unit. I was happy to provide towels but you would think that they would be requested prior to commencing. What followed was an odyssey. He proclaimed that the unit leaked because the teflon coating was peeling and would have to be replaced. When asked to explain, he then proclaimed that there was corrosion. When asked to please demonstrate the area of corrosion, he was then silent and unable to demonstrate. This gentleman obviously new nothing about Sub zeros, he couldnt even replace the receptacle back into the Fridge--I did it for him. At this point I called the office and the service person apologized and said she was unclear as to why the experienced Sub Zero technician had not been sent out but she would get him out as quickly as possible. 2 hours later I call to check on this next technician and was informed that unfortunately she had misunderstood and thought I didnt want anyone out to service my problem. I then spoke to the Manager who informed me that he was sorry that "I didnt believe his technician but that he stood behind his assessment". The truly unfortunate circumstance is that these people obviously do not screen their technicians and cant be bothered with customer service. The only reason they survive is that they are located in an affluent area with a public who is either unsuspecting or too busy to take note.

4-27-13 John Hansen- Just spent 43k with Village Plumbing to replace all the sanitary drain lines under his house. That Saturday, Houston was hit by a Storm and water was coming down on to his flat roof. Almost immediately water rose up thru his floors. No sanitary drains were clogged. The toilets, sinks and tubs drained perfect. The water pipes werent leaking at all. Mr. Hansen just wanted to speak to a manager. No manager at Village had time to speak with him because it was Saturday and the mangers were off enjoying there weekend. First thing Monday, I spoke to the plumber that was in charge of the job and I also spoke with the helper. The Helper had stated that they cut a hole into his storm sewer and left it that way because they didnt know what the pipe went to. I told my manager Mike and he told me to not ever bring it back up and to come with him to Mr. Hansens house that had been waiting all weekend to see a manager. When we got there I was quiet and let Mike look at the job and I showed him were and the cause of the problem from the storm drain on the roof. He didnt tell Mr.Hansen that the leak on the storm drain came from the hole they cut in the storm drain but instead gave him a quote of 7,300.00 to reroute the storm drain and that they had nothing to do with the cause of the problem since they only touched the sanitary sewer. I kept quit to keep my job but couldnt hold it in no more. Plumbers are suppose to lead by integrity and this company is far from it. It might have been a great place when it was ran by her father. But, from what i seen is a disaster.

Late Friday night, taking a nice warm shower, all of a sudden - the water came out - FREEZING! I was in "shock". What could be wrong? To make a long saga short(er), I looked at the Noritz water heater and saw blinking warning signs. I looked online and was fortunate to have found Village Plumbing and Home Services to accommodate my urgent service needs. From my late night call EVEN the young gentleman answering service was kind, compassionate, detailed (offering me options), and obviously competent. The ball started rolling. Early Sat. morn as I had requested, I received a call from Kelsey, who equally "held my hand" in comforting me that Service would be on its way soon and that "dont worry, youll be taken care of". No wonder this is a five star company. From that moment on ART, - the most polite serviceperson I have ever met, arrived and explained MORE than I even wanted to listen to, nor have him spend his valuable time explaining what must be done to service my water heater. ALL I WANTED WAS TO KNOW THAT I WOULD HAVE HOT WATER! ART spent the better of the day diligently working on the water heater, to, in effect, finish by my knowing that I virtually, almost had a brand new water heater! Subsequently, I had the privilege of speaking with Christy, Will, the Manager, and today with Nikki. I HIghly recommend this five star company. Their personnel and their work is top of the line! KUDOS TO VILLAGE PLUMBING AND HOME SERVICES, FOR THEIR IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROFESSIONALISM IN THEIR WORK.

Today we had a significant leak of our refrigorator water filter feature. We shut off the water to our home but we called Village Plumbing to send out someone to move out our built in refrigerator so that the water value could be shut off and water service restored to the rest of our home. Th e kind lady that answered the phone said we needed a pair of plumbers even though I described in detail that the appliance needed to be moved. The very kind plumbers arrived and did not know how to move the refrigerator out. They stayed for two or so hours. They called their office and asked for the appliance repairman to come to help. The office called me to say that all three men were needed and it would be another hour or more due to traffic as the appliance man was in Katy. NEVER did anyone look up the appliance installation manual for my Kitchenaid built in refrigerator. So after I got the call saying ti would be another hour, I got the manual, read how to install the frig, reversed the installation instructions, had my husband turn 4 tiny screws that dropped the wheals down on the frig and he and i gently and easily rolled the frig out and turned off the water valve. I promptly called Village Plumbing to tell the that we fixed it ourselves and to stop the men in route. They did not stop the two plumbers and appliance repair man who showed up at our home only find that we read the manual and easily moved the frig.

UPDATE: I scheduled a followup visit from a master plumber since Villiage could not clear my clogged drain. He fixed the exact issue I called these guys on in 20 minutes by himself (they had a crew of 2 and took over an hour of my lunch). Its 100% clear to me now these people are amateurs, or intentionally send their B-team to screw first time home owners ___________________________________________________ These are the facts.... They will give you a lump sum price estimate that is on par with the majors (Roto Rooter, Mr. Rooter, etc), they charge a $60 service fee which they waive if you pay for their estimated service, theyll tell you "the job will be the same price whether it takes 5 minutes or 5 hours" but dont mistake that to mean theyll get the job done not matter how long it takes. Basically if they cant figure out what is wrong theyll still charge you what they estimated and youll be no closer to fixing your problem...but they will give you suggestions which are outside the scope of their estimate (i.e. Salesman). They dont care about making a loyal customer they just want to take advantage as much as possible. They estimated a remodel which is obviously high. I will not use these guys again.
