We took one of our trucks to this location and they said we needed $750 worth of work done to it. After we left the trucks brakes still did not work, and the assistant manager said we needed another $1,400 work of repairs. We took the truck to our mechanic and found one of the parts they replaced was broken, they never adjusted the back brakes, and they also did not turn the back drums which is included in the premium back brake service. When i called them to see why all the problems the assistant manager was extremely rude and told me ... well your mechanic touched it that voids all warranty and never called me back. i will tell everyone i know to never use this place, all they are, are punk thugs with no customer service skills and apparently do not know anything about breaks. I not only had to pay them to "fix" the problem, i then had to pay someone else to fix the mistakes they made and do the work that was paid for (drum turning) that was never done. This place should be shut down!!!

The guys here confirmed what I already knew, I had a 15 year old car that needed a lot of work. When I only wanted to do the minimal repairs to get it in safe condition to use (Im dumping the car this summer), they were more than willing to work with me. They even stayed late to make sure it got done. Good guys, good service. -Edit (a few months later). I went back to have a wheel bearing replaced and was quoted $170 for a $40 part. I had called NAPA for the price of the wheel bearing thinking I may do it myself. I told the lady that I expected maybe a 50-75% bump up in parts price but not a 400% markup. She wouldnt budge even when I told her that a store literally less than a couple of blocks way is charging 400% less for the same part. She was not who I worked with last time. I told her to have a nice day and walked out. She didnt get my money and never will. I wont be going back.

per usual another 3 months go by so its time to get my oil change at Just Breaks, I stayed going here because theyre really nice and quick. However my car needs full synthetic so I get the expensive one that goes for 6000 miles (I think its 60/70$$), so nothing wrong yet but my engine starts making a weird noise a couple weeks later and I live in San Marcos for school so I take it to the dealership my boyfriend works at (Toyota, San Marcos) just for them to tell me the oil in my car is messing up my engine!!! They told me its definitely not synthetic oil that theyve been putting in my car! im just a girl so of course they would rip me off!! The guy was so nice too saying that the oil cost $70 in general so the labor was basically free... conclusion to this rant: these people are snakes!

I have had the brakes done on 3 of my families vehicles at this location and it has been nice and easy. Even when having to deal with the change in management, the store has always treated me great! I also had to take 2 of my vehicles back to complete the full brake job quite some time after the 1st part of the work was done and they knew exactly what had to be doen and even did a couple things again just to make sure it was the most complete job possible. The prices are the best in the area by far when dealing with brake and they staff is top notch. Rides to my house when I drop off my cars, friendly conversation with all employees including shop workers and managers and quality work with great prices. Thanks Just Brakes on Pat Booker for being so good to me.

I was told my car needed parts that when i described the situation to 3 other mechanics they all told me i shouldnt have needed those parts and even if i did that it should not have cost near as much as i paid. I looked up the price of the exact parts they charged me for, and they were 1/3 the price i was charged. I paid 1400 for sonething that i should have paid 400. My bad. You live and learn, but i do not reccomend this place to others.

I have been getting my oil changed at this location for the past few months. They are thorough and invite you to see what they are working on. They recommend services without being pushy. If there is a problem with a recent oil change, they fix it, smile about it and provide good service. All good.
