The salon has great stylists, but you need to watch and make sure they do what you ask for. I went in and asked them to bleach a large portion of my hair (from about 5 inches from my roots down). I went into the salon understanding that for how light I wanted to go (my hair is naturally black), it would take a couple processes. Because what I was asking for is a very stark and literal ombre, I brought several pictures to make sure she knew what I was going for. When my hair was all dry hours later, I realized that almost 50% of my hair had not been bleached at all, so I was instead extremely stripey on only sections of my hair. I went back the next morning and spoke to her again, and it was clear she misunderstood what I was asking for, despite the photos and my descriptions. She said she could try and fix it, but that it would be damaging. It was clear they would not be able to safely fix my hair, so I spent the next couple weeks waiting for a call back from the manager while I decided what to do with my hair. Artisan offered to have me come back to try to fix the hair, or give me deep conditions, etc. etc. Like with any business more service is a good first thing to offer customers, but since I didnt really want to go back to the salon who did this to my hair in the first place, I decided to pursue a refund instead, which is also common for customer service at businesses when the business messes up. The customer service went from friendly to condescending and stubborn during the phone call. I explained the situation yet again, only to be met with accusations that I didnt understand what I was asking for, and that the salon had done nothing wrong. I attempted over and over to clarify that what I had asked for was clearly different from what I got. I tried to be as specific as I could about the fact that I understood that it would be damaging. I thanked the salon for offering me other services, but that I had decided that I would feel much happier if I just got my money back from the single appointment, and that I wasnt even asking for the stylists tip that I left her (if I remember correctly, I left her 15-20%). At some point I even gave up on getting a full refund and asked what I would have to do to even get a PORTION of my money back. I just kept getting told that I was the one that didnt understand. It was an awful experience, and the phone conversation ended with me frustrated and crying and the owner eventually just hung up on me. The owner Kim completely disregards standard business ethics and will not refund even if the salon makes a clear mistake. Ive been going to this salon for years now and have always been pleased with my hair. This one time I clearly didnt get what I asked for, and when I asked for a refund I got a nightmare of condescension and was told to "do what I have to do" and that I wouldnt get my money back. I’m sad and frustrated that they messed up my hair. If you’ve had a bad coloring experience, you know how it feels. But the reason I am poorly reviewing this company is their refusal to properly take responsibility. 1.They clearly made a mistake on my hair that they cannot fix without damaging my hair more than if they had done it right in the first place. 2.They have lost my trust and put the blame 100% on me, making it sound like I changed my mind after the fact, when I was very clear from the beginning. 3.Instead of taking responsibility and giving me a refund (what any business would do when their customer is not satisfied with the service), the owner was condescending and hung up on me. At this point I really hope that the talented stylists at Artisan can work for a different company with proper business ethics. Youll probably have a good experience, but if not, dont expect them to be understanding and fair. Proceed with caution.

My hair was looking awful and I really needed a big change, but didnt know where to go. I knew I didnt have much time because I was headed out of town for a girls weekend in Vegas in just 2 days. So I decided to walk into somewhere that had good reviews online. I came here. I walked in - said I needed some serious hair help, and they got someone right away! His name was Zach. He chopped of probably 10 inches of my thin platinum blonde hair and did bleach highlights and a slightly darker color to add some dimension that I was lacking.... Boy did it change the way I felt about my hair! Left feeling unsure because its just hard to cut off your hair, but within hours I was feeling amazing! I love it - and everyone else around me does too. Zach really knew what he was doing, offered great opinions (when I asked him to) and did a great job. Totally worth the money, I will be going back!!! Add bonus!? The salon is soooo cute - very shabby chic! :)

To change stylists is a sometimes a hard thing to do, especially when the person you were use to is no longer available. We heard about Kim, the owner at Artisan through a friend, and decided to give her a try. She is open to any and all suggestions on how to get your style just right. My husband was a hard one because only one person ever cut his hair in a way that looked good. Once we showed Kim how it was cut, she cut it just as well if not better!! For myself, I have had to change from one stylist to the next at Artisan because of time restraints, but all beauticians have been great! Never a bad experience with a cut! They also do pedicures which someday I look forward to doing. Give Artisan a try (I know, I sound like a commercial ...)! Youll be pleasantly surprised! Leah Gibbons

I just discovered this place a few years ago, and I have been very impressed. Every time I go they dont just give me a haircut, they analyze my hair and let me know how I can make it healthier as well. You definitely dont find that most places. I also love going there when I want a drastic haircut. They have a talent for my random drastic flares. My only issue was that last time I didnt get the stylist I requested, but the stylist that ended up cutting my hair still did just as good of a job.

I made a reservation, however when I arrived for my appointment I had to wait for 40 minutes. I was told the person I made an appointment with would be with me soon, nope just sat there. Then I received one of the worst haircuts in my life, the person they put me with was new and I could tell she had no idea what to do. When I was paying for the haircut every worker awkwardly stared at me afterwards, probly wondering how the new person did.

The Artisan Hair & Spa is the greatest place to get your hair done. All the stylists are professional and nice. Aimee is especially wonderful!! From start to finish she is engaging and fun. Best of all she listened to what hairstyle I wanted and not only met my expectations but exceeded them!! I now have awesome layers and wonderfully full bangs!!!! I highly recommend this place!
