We had one of our back brakes seize up and took it to them a little after noon. They assured us they would have time to fix it. We are from Idaho anxious to get home. An hour before they closed, they called and said they coundnt get the rim off. I thought to my self, this is a tire place and they cant get the rim off???? We went in and they told us they didnt have the correct tool to get the rim off. I asked him if he was serious and started to question their competency. The service manager, Randy Squires, got offended (must have known it was true and they are incompetent) and told me that he deals with customers that ask him why he cant do things everyday.... At this point I didnt want him to work on my car anymore. He just admited that he has unhappy customers everyday and Firestone Complete Auto Care is not competient enough to do the work needed on customers cars. My car needs new tires and I probably would have bought tires fromthem as well but they couldnt even get my rims off. Ill never Not only did they wait until the end of the day, when everywhere else is closed, but they didnt offer any suggestions of how we could get it fixed and essentially waisted our whole day. * The irony of it all!!! When I finally got it home, I took a 3/8 socket extention (which fit perfectly in the hex) and had the rim off in less than 5 min. I am no mechanic, I work with software and just have basic tools. I have no idea how these idots stay in business.

I redeemed a $22.50 oil change coupon that was received in the mail. They didnt charge me a $5 fee to remove a skid plate like some places do. Overall I would recommend them since they caught something with the free inspection but would suggest some price shopping on any additional services they recommend. Looking out for my best interest: Above average 1) I forgot my wallet in the store and they returned it to me with the money still there. 2) They recommended replacing my alternator drive belt as there were cracks in it and it could break within 3 months. This was not detected in the yearly safety inspection 2 weeks ago or my last oil change 3 months ago. I got a second opinion from autozone and the guy said it probably wouldnt break in the immediate future but that it could go within 2 or 3 months. 3) My only disappointment is that I paid $20 for them to do an inspection where they ended up recommending using Lucas Transmission Treatment. I wish they had told me to try the transmission treatment and come back for an inspection if that didnt work. My fault though. Prices: Average for a shop 1) An air filter they wanted to replace for $43.99 cost $23 at Autozone just south of the place and the alternator belt for $26.99 would be $11 at Autozone. 2) Labor is $95/hour as of Feb 2009.

Ive been here several times. Ive always been treated very well. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you make an appointment, they stick to it quite well. If you drop it off without advance notice, it can take longer than expected. Think ahead, call ahead. Even if its right before you are going to head there without an appointment, ask if they are busy at the moment. Usually they arent busy when I bring my Rodeo or Civic in, if they are they tell me and I wait for another day if I can. The waiting area is a tad small and slightly uncomfortable. That is the only con I can think of. They have helped save me quite a bit of money with coupons or rebates they know about. They also check everything that could be linked to a concern you might have. That is definitely above and beyond most places Ive been to. And yes, like "marissa" said, they are very honest and have excellent service. One of the best car shops Ive been to, and Ive been to more than I should have.

This is the most honest auto repair shop I have ever known! Kim Howard is the best. I will never take my car elsewhere and neither should you! They will not rip you off like so many other places do, I promise! I first went to see them when my car was making a strange noise. They took my engine apart and discovered it was something that had been recalled by Honda. They could have EASILY just done the repair themselves and charged me anyway - but they didnt. I know it was a lot of work for them to diagnose this problem and they ended up charging me nothing for it. I will NEVER take my car elsewhere - these are honest, great people!

Took my vehicle in for an alignment. Had them do their courtesy check to see if other problems existed. They called me later to say my front struts were bad and suggested I do the back also for a consistent ride. They gave me a quote of $650 for all 4. I asked about just the front 2 and was quoted around $500. I figured the front were probably harder to replace and if I do the front it wasnt much more for the back. My mistake was not to get the quote in writing. When I went to pick up the car they charged me $1100 for all the work including the alignment. Last time I set foot in a Firestone.

We called to see how long it would take replace brake pads on our car. They said about an hour and to bring it in. We arrived 15 minutes later and they said that it would take closer to 2 hours. We left the car and went to eat and walk around the mall. 2.5 hours later just before they were closing they called and said they were too busy to do anything with our car today. He asked if we could bring it back next week.They offered nothing for wasting our whole afternoon and making us wait for 3 hours for nothing. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

I have been going to this Firestation store for a number of years. Randy and the crew are professional and have treated us very fairly. We have purchased tires for two sets of vehicles and have also purchased the lifetime alignment. I take my car there for regular oil changes and any other work they can do so I avoid the dealership as much as possible. I find them to be very trustworthy and will let me know if this is a "must do" repair or if it can wait. Highly recommend them!

I came today to get my oil changed and a tire rotation. Service was great and quick. What stood out most to me was the customer service. It made the wait not seem as long. They know how to take care of their customers. Jason helped me out today and he was awesome and entertaining. Plus I came in with a coupon and he offered me an even better deal that they had, im definitely coming back to this location and recommending it to everyone. - Brooke (first time customer)

They do a good job here and communicate very well. I was very satisfied with my experience here. I take away a star because they tried to upsell me when dropping it off for a tranny flush appointment, and then called me asking to do $600 of work I did not need. Get a second opinion if they recommend anything but what youre there for. If you arent familiar with auto repairs and maintenance ask someone who is before agreeing to any suggested work.
