IF YOU ENJOY BEGIN TREATED POORLY--PLEASE CALL C&P PLUMBING. C&P arrived 2 hours late, dishelved, out of breath and unprepared. And after working for approximately 20 minutes, walking in and out of my home on one of the coldest days, and after cutting a gapping and uneven hole in my wall, C&P told me they could not finish the work today. This was the 2nd visit that C&P had made to our home this week. The 1st visit was for the assessment. I have was told it is a simply valve replacement. However, during their assessment C&P failed to inform me of one major requirement. In order to complete the valve replacement, Fairfax County Water Authority would be required to turn the main water valve off to our home. C&P claimed that they didnt tell me during the assessment (1st visit) because they thought they would find the main valve, and turn it off themselves. After walking around and in and out of my home several times, C&P realized that they were unable to locate the main valve. Now, I was left with having to contact FFX county water to coordinate C&Ps 3rd visit to my home for a simply valve replacement. Apparently, FFX County hides the valve to prevent people from turning on and off the valves themselves. Therefore, after scheduling a 2nd visit, arriving 2 hours late, and knowing the water company closes at 4PM, I would have to wait until morning to attempt coordinating the turning off of my water and C&Ps 3rd visit. So, I get up early this morning call FFX water --amazingly they are available tomorrow morning and have what they call a "plumber on site" code so the technician knows there is plumber waiting at that site. I called the C&P back 1st thing to let them know that FFX will be out tomorrow morning to ensure that the main valve to the home is turned off. C&P then informs me that they are unable to help me until Monday of next week! Unbelievable!!! I persisted, explained how inconvenient waiting through the weekend was going to be, as my downstairs (not a big house) was unusable due to the gapping hole in the wall of our main family room. I was placed on hold for 5 minutes, the supervisor gets on the phone, very sternly attempts to tell me that when you live in a condo or apartment (blah, blah); I interrupted him to explain that I live and own this single family home, therefore those restrictions do no apply to me. C&P supervisor didnt bother to learn about my grievances prior to getting on the phone with me to at least politely let me know that my concerns didnt matter to them. It is bad enough that this is C&Ps 3rd visit, but working from home, the potential of being here all day without running water, waiting for an untimely plumber to arrive --is very stressful and disruptive. After attempting to explain my grievances to C&Ps supervisor and requesting another one of their plumbers since the one sent originally was unavailable tomorrow (I guess they only have one) because C&P supervisor said to me and I quote "I suggest you call your warranty company and get another plumbing company because C&P cant help you." Wow! So I now I start this process all over again --an entire WEEK of my life wasted waiting for C&P plumbing because C&P prefers to work outside of regulations and have not respect for other peoples time. C&P customer service is horrible. If you enjoy being insulted, spoken to rudely, your requirements basically being ignored, call C&P Plumbing. C&P prefers to abuse and disrepect their customers and their customers time.

I want to state that I have no issue with the plumber that was sent out, I have a huge issue with the company and after this disaster would NEVER suggest that anyone use them for any kind of plumbing work, ever! We have a home warranty and they put us in contact with C & P Plumbing. We talked to them on 2/19/2015 and they said they wouldnt be able to come out until the 23rd, fine so far. The plumber showed up on the 23rd and fixed the toilet and the shower. When he tried to fix the kitchen faucet, he broke it trying to take it apart, still okay. He said he would have to order a new handle and it might be a couple of days. My husband called on Friday the 27th and the plumber said hed be back out Tuesday March 3rd. Well, Tuesday came and went and no plumber and no call. I called and they said that there was a mix up and the part had to be reordered and it would be at least another 10 days before they would get the part. Mind you, we have been without a functioning kitchen sink or water since the 23rd - I am trying to wash dishes in my bathtub! When I talked to them I told them that this was not okay and they agreed and suggested that they would talk to the owner the next morning and would get back to me first thing to let me know if there was anything they could do. Now comes Wednesday the 4th and no one calls me. My husband calls and their solution is that I can go buy a new faucet and they will install it for free - WHAT??? They broke my faucet and I have to buy another one for over $300 and they will install it for free? They said I could talk to the manager so I said fine and was put on hold. They finally came back to me and said the manager was on another call and would call me and I would have to wait till Friday to talk to the owner. I asked if the plumber could do something so I could at least have running water in my kitchen until the new part came in and they said they would check with him and call me back. It is now Saturday morning and no one has called me back. When I called on Thursday they had some answering service answering the calls and they cant tell me when they would call me back, haha. I told the answering service to tell them I was in the process of writing reviews for Angies List and other places. They dont care at all! This is totally unacceptable and the ladies I talked to at C & P even agreed with me. If I wait for them, I will have been without a functional kitchen faucet for 3 weeks! Because the plumber broke the faucet! And I can either shell out over $300 for a new faucet or continue this h*** for another week and a half. At this point I want the money back that weve already spent ($125) and would like to no longer have to do business with this company. Good luck to me, I cant see getting anywhere with them and highly doubt they will ever call me back. Im sure that I am out $125 and will have to shell out an additional $350 for a new faucet.

I too made a claim through the home warranty (2-10), about a pipe that had sprung a leak in the kitchen ceiling. Was given an appointment window of between 12-4 pm. Took the day off of work and waited for the plumber to show. And just like a lot of the reviews on here, 4 PM came, and no plumber was at the house. After calling to find out what was going on, I got a call back from the plumber stating he was stuck in traffic as if I should know that, being that it was a Friday. After arriving 20 minutes late, he spent about 10 minutes maybe, in the home only to tell me he could not do any work until I did the demo and made access in to the ceiling to the pipe. He happily collected the $100 deductible and went on his way saying to call back again when access is made. I decided to do the work myself seeing as I a majority of it myself anyway, and canceled the work order, only to still be charged the $100. When I called and spoke to management to complain about the situation, I got a half hearted apology with an explanation of "things happen" and they cant help when they get stuck in traffic. They refused any refund stating the plumber diagnosed it, and that the plumber/ they would have no way of knowing that access would have to be made. Even though when the call was made I told them specifically where the pipe was and what the problem was( was able to see it through a recessed light). The manager still stated all she could do is say "sorry" and I was out of luck for sitting there all day for nothing. I wouldnt recommend using this company to anyone, and if you are making a claim with a warranty company I would ask for a different company. I read a lot of the good reviews, so maybe there is a difference between the Lorton and Fredericksburg locations, I dont know. But I will also be making a complaint to 2-10 warranty.
