Mr, Handyman sent out a handyman who did not know what he was doing. It took him 1 hour to install a BROKEN lighting fixture. Not sure if he broke it or it came broken because he didnt come and show me the light. But it was obvious to anyone with eyes that it was broken. But he installed it anyway. The job should have taken him 1/2 an hour at the MOST. When I discussed this with customer service they said it can take them 40 minutes just to SET UP?! They should advertise that considering they chrge by the hour!! Then CALVIN, the "handyman" went on to TRY and install a new faucet in my sink. Well, lets just say he said he was all done... but my hot water no longer works. After all was said and done they charged me 317$ to install a broken lighting fixture and to leave me with no running hot water. Hire Mr. Handyman at your own risk!!!!

Pros: -Friendly staff -Technician did good work Cons: -Company tries to cut costs by avoiding estimates. This can in turn cost their clients additional money when the technician shows up unprepared. -Terrible customer service (if something goes wrong) -Situation: Company refused to do an estimate and ensured upon my initial call that they would have the basic tools needed to complete my outlined job. The technician however did not have the tools needed to complete the job, and company wanted to charge and additional ~$200+ to finish the job as a result of being unprepared. Customer service was unyielding and unwilling to right the wrong. Had the company done the initial estimate as requested, it would not have wasted my time or money.

We had a wonderful experience with Mr. Handyman. They initially set up an appointment for your work but put you on a list in case there is a cancellation or their workers have some extra time. This way, we got our work done ten days before our actual appointment. They sent two men, John and Carl which was fantastic as they completed the project twice as fast. When you are paying by the hour this is great. Both were incredibly professional! They explained what they were doing every step of the way and pointed out things about our house that we were not even aware of. I had the most positive experience with Mr. Handyman and will always call them with any project I have. Thank you John and Carl!

Mr. Handyman was the best service I have ever had. When calling about getting service the person on the phone was very knowledgeable and assured me of the qualified employees they have. Before hiring the people, they make sure they know what they are doing, also extensive back ground check, and drug test. This made me very comfortable about letting a stranger into my home. The MR. Handyman himself was very professional and personable. I have asked him to come back and do more work for me. After the great job he did the first time around I know I can trust him to do a really good job on my next project.I have it already scheduled and looking forward to having the work complete.

We have contracted with Mr. Handyman three (3) times over the last few months. The work we have requested has included such diverse items as installing lights in the attic, installing doors, repairing/replacing screening for a large enclosed porch and storm door, reinforcing stairway hand holds, replacing parts in a dishwasher, and replacing electrical plug. In particular, their employee John (a major jack-of-all-trades) has been of great help. They are there when they say they will be there, they pace themselves so that they get the maximum amount of work done during the session, and are always courteous and polite. No hesitation to recommend them!!

This was the second time Ive use Mr. Handyman for minor home repairs, and it wont be the last! The client concierge was extremely friendly and helpful in setting up an appointment that coordinated with my schedule. The technician arrived at precisely the scheduled time, knew the details of the job and was prepared to start. The tech worked quickly and efficiently, explained the reasoning for various procedures and left the site immaculate upon completion. The rate was reasonable and competitive for the exceptional level of professionalism. Looking forward to my next project!

Mr. Handymans Service approach and billing rates are very easy to understand. The rates and how Mr. Handyman operates is explained very clearly right up front. The service technician was on time, friendly, professional, capable, and fast. The service I needed was done exactly as requested, and during the minimum first hour, he took care of several other details. He suggested a repair approach that actually saved me money from the method other repair services would most likely use. I would be very satisfied to use Mr. Handyman and their service in the future.

excellent fast service !!! Called in major need to have my fan removed 2 days before move out after a friend bailed. Thanks to mr. handyman Oliver came out to see me at 8:00 on the dot. I had to take my daughter to school so he waited for me to get back patiently and worked fast when he started. he kept in mind the client pays hourly and worked efficiently. he explained things to me well and was super professional. i was very pleased and will be calling to have ikea furniture assembled next week. I called this morning for service and Paul was out here by 12:15 pm. Repair completed within one hour - he had all the necessary tools and supplies (sheet rock, insulation) with him. He was very personable, explained the problem and the solution and the likely cause of the problem, left everything clean when he was finished. Could not ask for a better experience. This is my second time using Mr. Handyman (the other was to fix a gutter and some trim that broke off in a hurricane) and both have been excellent.

I have used Mr. Handyman on two of my rental properties. Everything has been smooth and easy. The technician John has done an amazing job of completing a lot of minor items to get my houses ready to sell. Katie in the office has done a great job of communicating to me the schedule. The prices are fair and the work excellent. I have used many repair folks in the past and Mr. Handyman is the best. They showed up on time and do quality work right the first time. I highly recommend them for your house.

I needed repairs/renovating done on my deck. Since so many of the deck boards needed replacing, I went ahead and had the whole deck re-planked, plus I went ahead and had the railings re-done as well. Since I wanted to learn a bit about how to do things myself, I was happy that the handyman was willing to take the time to explain both why and how things were done. I really like how my deck turned out and I have a lot more confidence in trying things myself in the future. Overall a good experience.

I have been very pleased with the work that has been done in my home. On each job the office was very helpful in scheduling the work and letting me know what was entailed. The technician knew exactly what needed to be done and worked efficiently in getting the job done in a timely manner. I know that I can trust the technician in my home... he is bonded and insured and always professional. I like dealing with a company that makes clear contracts and follows thru in getting the work done.
