went for a state inspection at 8am. They asked if I was staying to wait and I said yes... thinking that a state inspection shouldnt take long. Well... their inspector started the inspection, ripped off my previous tag, then left to tow a vehicle. They didnt tell me. I sat there for 50 minutes before I asked what was taking so long. They told me the inspector wouldnt be back until 9:30! I was shocked. And at this point I didnt know he already took my sticker off. So I looked up another shop, Clems Auto, and called them to see if they had an inspector ready to go. They did. So I asked the lady at the desk in Ladysmith Tire and Auto to give me my keys back because Im leaving. Thats when I find out that the inspector WAS there and he took the sticker off before leaving for an hour and a half to tow a vehicle. I told her it doesnt matter because Im not going far. She said I cant leave without a sticker. Sorry but you cant keep me hostage here. Finally she decides to write a note in case I was pulled over and sent me on my way. That was a big waste of an hour and 10 minutes. They clearly dont care about customer service. Their tow truck driver decided its worth more money to go on a tow call than to give a state inspection to a brand new customer. Fine, itll be the only time this customer goes there.

A true rip off. Went here today because of knocking coming from under my car. Dropped it off for diagnosis and got the call a short time later that they had found the problem. They said that my wheel bearings were bad and that I was missing a brake caliper bolt. They quoted me $940. I decided to get a second opinion and took it to Clems Auto right up the street. I asked them to replace the wheel bearings and caliper bolt. They quoted me half the price. However, when they jacked it up and inspected it, they said that the wheel bearings were fine. The sound was simply coming from the missing bolt not securing the brake caliper. They had one on hand, put it on, and drove it around with me to confirm that the sounds were gone. I paid them $27 and drove home with no car noises. Long story short, Ladysmith Auto is a rip off. They prey on people that are coming off of the interstate and those that dont know much about car mechanics. The fact that they were going to charge me almost a grand for what was solved with a simple bolt is entirely unethical. I will never do business with them again and will be spreading the word on how they operate. Not only that, their diagnostic fee was $89. Clems was $73 and includes a half hour of labor. Travelers beware!

I was driving home on interstate 90 and my tire pressure light came on. I pulled over to the closest gas station and noticed my tire needed to be replaced ASAP. Luckily, Ladysmith Tire & Auto was right across street! They were so nice and fixed my tire quickly. They even let me bring my puppy in with me while I waited!

I went to another shop, Discount Tires inNorth Chesterfield to get my tires replaced, but Discount screwed me over and replaced the perfectly good tires, and left the dry rotted and nail in my tire. I was out at Lake Caroline and my tires were leaking. These people are honest, dependable and do really good work
