Edit: Sent an email to the email given by owner on Friday of last week and still no response, it is Tuesday of the next week. Edit2: Friday and still no response back. Final edit: I ended up taking it to drake auto on the same street and they said the head unit was just unplugged. Which is absolutely infuriating to have to pay 80 dollars to have something plugged back in. Thank you midas for steering me to better business. The manager could have done such a better job at handling this than getting angry and defensive with me after I said the head unit was working when I brought it in and wasnt when I left. He asked me to show him proof they worked in that area and then proceeded to say he wouldnt do a job for free. Please do not go to this place. Its not worth your sanity haggling to get something that previously working fine, fixed again. I had a pretty bad experience at this location. I brought it in and stereo and speakers were working. I asked them to take a look at my A/C because it was making a squeaking noise. I had an new fan installed at a another midas. They said if we find that it was a flaw from the previous install then they wouldnt charge. Well they said there was a piece of plastic under the vent cover under my engine. They charged me 163 to pull it out of my infiniti g35. When I picked it up they said they didnt say anything about not checking out the A/c area dashboard. I take it back home not listening to the music. I telework from home so did not use my car for a week. No audio is coming from the speakers. The head unit is jutting a little further out and the glasses compartment is fixed which was previously unhinged on the left side. So they definitely were working in that area. I got frustrated with the manager because he asked me to prove it and I quoted those things. He said they didnt even work in the dashboard. The manager proceeded to say he would not fix the mistake they made and would not admit to doing anything wrong concluding they has never touched anything on the dashboard area near the head unit. The physical difference are there from what my car looked like before and after they worked on it to show it had been worked on. Instead of offering to help fix the mistake the manager got defensive stating he has to pay his workers to do a job for free. He offered to open the dash for free so I could look and see what may be wrong (Im not a mechanic). Or drive it to the nearest dealership to have them look to see if any wiring is severed and if not hr wouldnt pay a penny and I could pick it up, which is 40 minutes away the nearest dealership. The problem is it is an aftermarket head unit. The head unit still came on when I plugged it in, but no audio would come out any of the speakers which are connected to the head unit. Long story short. Went in for A/C noise fix, came out with a trade off for no audio coming out of speakers. Dont go here. Go down the same street there are a ton of other local mechanics at the end of the road like Drake auto.

I have a 2001 Mercedes-Benz that needed a complicated and custom exhaust repair (metal brackets supporting the exhaust system had rusted through and the dealer wanted $3,000. to fix by replacing the entire exhaust system that was otherwise fine). I took the car to VA Tire & Auto and they decided after an exhaustive analysis that they could not repair. As a last ditch effort, I took the car to Midas/German Auto Diagnostics off of Pebble Run Place and the very courteous team came up with a brilliant solution that required true ingenuity for this customized repair- in a day the staff welded custom brackets at key support points that were a mix of metal and rubber (to dampen noise). The end result was a perfect, factory fix where the car is quiet and safe- and they did all of it for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend taking your car to this facility anytime and especially when you have a unique problem that might require more thought than just turning a wrench. A strong 5 stars for these professional experts!! Talk to Nick Hamaways and he and the team will take care of you.

The mechanic who did the work was wonderful and the quality was better than I expected but that is about the extent of the confidence I have with this shop. The owner who gave me the quote called me a liar and was extremely rude. He quoted me 312.98 total on the phone but even after confirming twice before hanging up he said that I misheard him and was lying about the price. After exchanging words about it he agreed to honor the price but at that point he had lost all of my respect as well as my willingness to recommend his shop to others. Additionally he had said he would order the parts the day prior to reduce wait time at the shop however this did not happen(adding 30 minutes to my stay at the shop) There is a certain level of professionalism that you should have as business owner that this man just lacks.

They were fast and polite. The staff was awesome. I had my 4 year old with me and they were super nice to him. The woman behind the front desk even gave him cookies for being good. They didnt over charge or tell me I needed anything extra. Get place to get your car worked on. Will definitely be taking my car there for now on.
