I had a really bad experience here and am thankful that it wasnt my wife. Brought my vehicle for an oil change... had no known issues with brakes. As soon as I got in my vehicle after the oil change in their parking lot, my brake pedal went to the floor. I put it in drive pumping it and only went a few feet and backed back into the parking spot. I went right in to the counter and asked if they had done anything else to the vehicle other than an oil change. They said no. I asked them if they by chance took up the rear drum brakes and they said they only do visual inspections with oil changes. The manager came out and checked fluids, my brake fluid was completely empty. The manager checked the service notes and it said all fluids topped off. The tech that worked on our vehicle told him the brakes were weird when he pulled it out to the parking space when he finished. At no time did he document this or mention it to anyone. Apparently there was a brake line failure as they came out and filled the fluid and had me press the brakes and they were spraying all over the ground near my gas tank. The manager assured me that they would not/could not have caused this. Im inclined to believe them BUT their tech was negligent for lying on the form and not telling anyone the brakes were gone!!! The manager said this particular tech was new. To add insult to injury, he lowered the air in my tires to be 30 or 35 psi when my tires call for 44psi. The manager then said it was really busy and he could get me in the next day. I demanded that my vehicle be the next one worked on and instead of the $400 charge that he charge $300 to fix the brake line. I wanted to go to another place to get the work but the brakes literally didnt work. To their credit they did the work for $300 and my vehicle was assigned to his best master tech and it was finished in just over an hour. Im so glad my wife wasnt the one who brought it in as she may not have identified a brake failure before it was too late and gotten hurt. If it was really a huge coincidence so be it... but that tech still should have checked the fluid and not lying on the paper and also mentioned something when the brakes went to the floor after finishing the oil change. I hope that employee is fired if it were intentional or trained repeatedly if it were a sincere oversight.

Absolutely terrible service! I am traveling with my children from Buffalo, NY to Florida because we lost our home in the storm. Pep Boys shows no concern at all to getting our vehicle fixed. ALL we need are two transmission cooler lines installed yet we are on our 3rd day in a hotel and they still havnt even ordered parts which means we will be here 4 days and will most likely miss Thanksgiving with our family! We were told that we did not need to unload our belongings in the van for repairs BUT the next day, almost 12 hours later after WE called them they informed us it was to heavy, so we had to get it towed back to the hotel "5 miles away", unload it and have it towed back to pep boys where they still havnt started work, yet again because they have not ordered parts, yesterday we were told they were already ordered and in the store. Now they wanna charge us $550 for changing two lines, as a mechanic myself I know that is complete BS, as I could buy the parts locally for $35ea and have it done within an hour. Pep Boys does not care that we have had to spend almost $600 in hotel and towing fees as they still continue to take their sweet time as we sit here with two toddlers stranded in a hotel where we have never been before. I will NEVER deal with Pep Boys again, me and my family will be lucky to even make it back to FL with all the money we have had to spend staying here while waiting for them. I have been a mechanic for years and never seen a repair facility be so unprofessional and lie to their customers. Absolutely rediculous.

This place is absolutely terrible on customer service! First, n one greats you when you walk in! Yet, I observed the customers before me and after me were greeted with a smile and a hello and even a hand shake with some of the males! They try there best to to deter customers from bringing their cars in, mainly women and customers of ethnicity! This shop is lazy and still a bunch of good ole boys! They held my vehicle for 2 days before even attempting to do any work. When questioned they claimed they still did not order the parts! Well you showed me the part before I left the vehicle and we had prior appointment made via my husband, 4 days before. Then said it will be another week before theyll be able to work on it. I inquired no less than 3 times about specific time and date for me to drop the vehicle off nobody could give a date or time. Did not even look at the computer once! Really!! The manager was no better! He just babbled on about how much work other customers had on their cars. Just a bunch of foolishness! I have lived here for over 20 years and the customer service has NOT gotten better, it is worse! The waiting room is awful too! No Wi-Fi either! Their is no PEP in these boys at all!

Was the most horrible experience Ive had to deal with in some time. First I call on Sunday and the person I talk to sounded like a 16 year kid who first knew nothing about cars or even seem to care about my situation. Well finally he finds the part I need and orders it and tells me it will be there tomorrow. So on Monday I did not receive a call so I called them back and spoke to another person a female who sounded young and could not answer any of my questions. She was ready to order my part again so that told me the boy never did it the first time. I ask for a store manager she said he was in a meeting so I ask for the district manager number she said that is who he is in the netting with. So now Im frustrated so I told her I would be in the store. When I get there he ask me who did I speak to on Sunday I said I dont remember his name so he tells me the store that has my part is not on there stores loop and that they dont have to send the part of they dont want to which was never told to me so I waited 2 days and Im still without a headlight and its a 175 dollar headlight. I went in on Wednesday for a state inspection and after waiting in line for 15 mins a guy that no longer worked there (behind the counter) told me to bring it back at 7am friday morning. So I dropped my car off amd placed my key in the drop box. I called back at 8am like the form told me to do. A guy named Ray answered the phone and I asked him what time could i get my car back. He was very rude telling me he is an ex police officer amd just caring on very bad. After about 2 to 3 minutes of him caring on he said i have to go i have customers in front of me. I then told my spouse to take me back up there. I was back up there less then 4 mins. When I arrived no customers were there and I asked for my key. Ray asked me why? I told him I was taking my car somewhere else. He said "oh he said he will be finish with your car this afternoon". I told him no to give me my key. I left and will never go back. That phone conversation that HE had was very rude and uncalled for. No wonder the other guy dosent work there anymore. RAY you need some mental health.
