Brought in an old Beamer to get an alignment after installing a new rack. Was told over the phone that instead of the normal $70, it would cost a $100 because it would "take an hour or so to do" because of "rear trailing arms". I obliged having no knowledge of the rear suspension of my car, and brought it in. After coming back after an hour I was told that "only 3 wheels were aligned" because the ball joint on my right control arm was bad. It in fact turned out to be really bad. I was given an estimate of around $200 to replace the control arm and $200 for labor. I was also charged $70 for the "alignment". After doing a little research, I was surprised that OEM control arms were $70 and so I ordered two. After bolting them into my car, I realized that there is no rear adjustment for camber/toe in my car, and that the only alignment adjustment on my car was front toe (unless having heavy suspension modifications). In fact, I had to make sure by asking on a Beamer forum because I was told I had "3 wheels aligned". So not only was I lied to, I was charged for an alignment that never happened. Afterwards, I took my car to SEARS and bought a lifetime of alignments for $190. They got it done in under an hour and on top of that, they gave me a report specifying the alignment and tolerances of my car.

Very honest and dependable. My wife took one of cars after receiving coupons from them. She had a great experience with them and spoke highly of their customer service and honesty, which you dont see much over anymore. I later found out a coworker brings his car to them as well. Brought our other car to them and got nothing but straight answers and no pressure at all. If something needed fixed right away youll be told. If its something that can wait you ll be told. I called around for quotes just to see ab d Drakes was by far the best. They are family owned and its obvious that theyre in business to make an honest living and not at the expense of others. Definitely recommend Drakes for car needs.

Excellent customer service! I had to reschedule my appointment due to a flight delay, they accommodated my request. I went a week earlier to another garage (Centreville tire & auto) because I heard a knocking sound coming from the right front tire, they suggested I change all the brake system in my car, the four of them for over a $1000. They said the brakes were completely deteriorated. Which sounded odd given my light use of the car. I went to Drake auto, they were honest with me, told me the brakes have at least another two years of use at my current 10k miles use of the car, and it was a quick fix for less than a $100. I recommend it to anybody that wants an honest and inexpensive car fix.

I went to Drake Auto for wheel alignment. Carl and Kyle welcomed me pleasantly. Unfortunately due to a rusted bolt the part broke and I was told I was looking at an extra $200. Since I was quoted $69 before heading to the shop and this was my first time at Drake Auto I was kind of disappointed. While they were fixing the car problem Kyle patiently answered my questions about technical aspects of purchasing a new car. When the car was finally ready, I drove back safely to home with an invoice total of $127. I decided to write my comment about Drake Autos performance. The shop was clean and the waiting room warm and cosy.

I went here to have my brakes installed and paid a premium. These guys came up with some ridiculous additional charges that I felt pressured to agree to because they already had my truck, and I wanted the work done right. Well, I am currently re-bleeding my entire brake system because of the poor job these guys did. They charged me $11 for brake fluid. I am currently removing all of the old/dark fluid from my reservoir. They did a good job on the steering column but charged me 3x what the repair needed in time. Moral of this story: Just do the work yourself, or take it somewhere else

I went to Drakes after getting 3 other quotes (and opinions on what needed to be fixed) for front breaks and rotors from local and national chains. . Ultimately chose Drakes given the professional appearance of the shop and excellent customer service. I was given two choices on what kind of parts could go on my car (standard to high quality) which was nice. Final price was lowest of 4 by about $35-150 dollars cheaper depending on the other quotes for similar work.

I will never go to VA Tire and Auto ever again. Drakes gave me an price that was well less than half what VA Tire and Auto quoted me and Drakes even included more parts( brakes and rotors) than what VA Tire and Auto would of gave me. I will be bringing my car and my girl friends car here for the rest of the time we are in VA. Great service, great and friendly staff, nice waiting area, and quick! Thanks again Drakes.

I highly recommend Drakes Auto repair. Its rare that an auto repair shop gives you a quote and actually sticks to it. Had my brakes replaced here, both pads & rotors and paid what they quoted. Dropped it off Sunday night at their drop box. They called me at 11 this morning to tell me it was ready. Fast, courteous, and about $200 cheaper than the most other places. Call Carl or Kyle and get your car repaired right.

Ive been using drake for years now and theyve always taken car of my cars with great prices and a smile,I have vws and Im a diy guy,but when I cant do things do to limited tools this is the place I call,very honest and fast turnaround,refer them to my vw club buddies and family,if you need repairs on any import or domestic,for peace of mind and honesty give drake auto a call,they rock!!!!!

I was going to go to midas down the street but they told me I needed all new calipers, brake pads, and discs. Carl at Drake auto took me to see under the car and explained I didnt need new calipers, but I did need new pads and discs. The price was half that of what midas was charging. I definitely noticed a difference and everything seemed pretty honest and fairly priced.

Carl and Kyle continue to do fantastic work on my 99 BMW. Their prices and quality workmanship are fantastic. In addition, the entire experience is low pressure and personable. They really know the details on BMWs and have often diagnosed problems over the phone when other repair shops could not figure it out after having the car in the shop for days. Highly recommended.

Carl is a very genuine and honest man. This is definitely a skilled shop, they did a motor replacement, plus clutch rebuild for us and we were very satisfied with the job. Carl talked me through all the options and let me do the decision making on the car. No pressure, just facts. Love it and will drive the 45 minutes from our house to use Drake for all major repairs.

Great prices and great service for disk brake jobs. Less than half of the price my dealer quoted, completed quickly and with good quality. Recently had the front control arms replaced on my car along with all 4 wheels brakes done. They did the work in a very high quality manner and at well under 1/2 the price the dealer wanted for the work. Just plain excellent.
