this is an overdue review. My daughter went for a haircut, about 8 months ago, and it was AWFUL. She had super thick straight hair, a couple inches past her shoulders when she went in. She wanted a straight 2 inch trim. The cut ended about 2 -3 inches shorter in the back than the front. - and was WAY shorter than she wanted. Im guessing the stylist kept trying to `straighten it out in back and kept going shorter, and shorter, and then realized what she was doing.. and just stopped .?? ... We returned that day, and I asked for a Senior, Master stylist to fix this awful cut. Sadly, that person made it shorter and a bit better, but it was still very badly cut. My daughter was in tears for days. The manager flatly refused to refund the hair cut. NEVER do they refund she said. I sent the manager pictures which clearly show the awful cut. No attempts to placate or assist, other than offering to cut it again. Really ? My daughter will never step in there again. So, Daughter went to Gene Juarez and the stylist did she could, given what she had to work with, but as there was not way to make it longer, it still was not at all what daughter wanted originally. But it was a quality cut at least. The fact that not one, but two stylists did awful cuts is bad. Worse? The refusal to refund money or to make this right somehow, other than offering another cut. Finally after several attempts, over months! and stating that I would go there and make a scene if necessary, the manager agreed to refund, but she refused to send me a check , saying I must drive in to the salon- even though I live a distance away. 3 or 4 months later, I went in, and heard, `oh, sorry, the check is not here anymore, its not valid, after 30 days ( or 60 days?) , you will have to come back" Really!!? Again, the request to simply mail it was refused.. "No you have to come in and show your ID" me: " Im here now, and Im showing you my ID, and it has my address. Please mail it." NO. bottom line, If you have a great stylist there GREAT. IF not, be warned, not all stylists there know what they are doing apparently. I suggest you go to Gene Juarez, where they all seem to be better quality, their training is better etc. Its over a year, and I still dont have the refund..

This haircut will take 6 months to fix!!! I took my 14 year old daughter in for a clean up trim of her waist length hair. The stylist she had worked with before had left the salon in the last week, so we were told that India would be great new stylist for my daughter. India was friendly and talked to my daughter about her hair, the length she desired. My daughter showed her a photo of her last cut which was the ideal length. They agreed she would cut about 3 inches off of the length. She started with the back and when the first lock of hair hit the ground I could see it was closer to 8 inches. That was the point of no return. India acknowledged that she had cut too short. She continued to cut and blew dry her hair. It now hung above to my daughters shoulder blades!!! India never checked her work. She directed my daughter to change, we checked out and left the salon and the mall which was now closed. As soon as we got outside my daughter burst into tears. Upon examining her hair we realized that the hair in the front was in chunks of different lengths. We called the manager right away to let them know what happened. She refused a refund but said my daughter could come in to consult with a managing stylist. After looking at how bad the cut was, we have zero confidence in any of their stylists and will go elsewhere for a repair cut which is going to make my daughters hair even shorter!! Should be to her ideal length sometime next Fall.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I scheduled an appointment with Igor for a haircut and color because my little brother got me a gift card to the Salon 7 for Christmas. First Igor was more than 20 min late. Then when he finally saw me, he told me that he can’t color my hair because I have previously used Hanna on my hair and it’s their company policy not to touch hair that has had Hanna before. I told Igor and his manager that’s unfortunate because that means I will have to go find a different salon. I asked them to refund the money that my little brother spend on the gift card (since I need a service that they can’t provide) and Igor and two of his salon managers said they can’t refund the money. I told them that’s unexcitable because it’s not like I am not interested in their services, the service I want they are refusing to perform and they said “that is their company policy”. I asked for the manager that I was talking to for his name and his managers phone number, and he refused to give it to me. Basically “their company policy” is to 1) disrespect people’s time 2) be extremely rude to their customers 3) not being interested in trying to make the customer happy and 4) cheat my little brother off money that he earned to buy me a Christmas present.

Worst haircut of my life! She has super long nails and scratches you hard on the neck and your scalp. After I went home, the parts she scratched me (which is everywhere) felt like it was swelled up. The only good part of the visit was shampooing. Customer service is pretty bad. They look at you with weird faces if youre an Asian. And it was my first visit so I asked where I should wait, and two of the staff made a "duh" face and said "you can wait over there" It was hidden from where I was standing so I couldnt see it. Seven is HORRIBLE! The hair cut was pretty bad too. It was far the worst hair cut of my life. She didnt listen to anything what I said, and started cutting, and result was way worse than expected. Jaimie curled my hair at the end so she can hide the haircut. When I was tipping, the cashier lied too. I asked her what the haircut is before, and she said $50, and tipping 20% will be $10. BUT actually it was $50 after tax, so 20% will be $9.13. At that time, I did not know that my hair was that bad, so I generously tipped $10. Which I wish I didnt tip at all. I will never go back again.

I have an event that I am going to tomorrow night. I have been to a certain stylist, who I like. However, they cancelled my appointment an hour before it was supposed to happen, and had no other openings until the following week. They were indifferent about the fact that I had taken time out of my work schedule, and that I needed a haircut, which is their BUSINESS. They had no one to field my complaint and I was asked to call back when the "manager" of the managers was in, no voicemail was available. They did nothing to help me, which I find really odd. My stylist is actually in there right now working, however, instead of fielding another client with a new stylist, or rebooking someone else, they suggested I see another stylist, one that I have never been to? Why me? When they are the ones that cancelled! Why dont they squeeze me in either have her stay late, or rebook one of her other clients, after all thats what they did to me! Overall, I think Seven is acting like a snobby, over rated salon who can be indifferent, and careless of their good paying clients. Sad.
