We took our car in for brake troubles. When I dropped they drove me to work since I was without a vehicle. We got our diagnostics that same day and they offered to keep the car overnight so that I could have a better part installed that would not be there until the morning. While it could have been fixed same day I truly appreciated that they explained the differences in my options and that waiting one more day for a shipment to arrive would be the most cost effective and more reliable option. The guys stayed a little late so that we could pick up our car the next day (I got off work at the time they close) and went over everything that was fixed and what we can do to help make sure that the malfunction doesnt happen again. Everything was fixed at a reasonable price, and I couldnt be happier about the service we received. We wont be going anywhere else for future repair needs!

Mackert Automotive is a 5-star automotive center!! They have stellar customer service - their front desk guy is as warm, professional and friendly as Ive ever seen at a car center, and Howard Mackert, the owner, is SUPER educated in his field and knows cars inside and out. He even holds a Car Clinic just for women as some of us ladies can be too busy to care enough about how our car is running! He is also a car fan and collects antique cars, so this helps me know this is not just a job for him but a passion. His plug is always "if it doesnt need it, we dont do it," and he can work with anyone and their budget to only get done what needs to be done. In the world of mechanics, you need to have trust, and with Mackert Automotive, they have mine. This is the first time in 29 years of driving that I feel this happy about a car shop!

i have had nothing but bad experiences at their shop. they are slow to get back to you with information (updating you on the status of your vehicle, ordering parts, etc). the last job they did for me caused additional work unrelated to the initial repair-which cost me an additional $600.00 to correct and my vehicle is still not running properly. they attributed their error to the age of the vehicle (they snapped multiple bolts holding a part that when taken to another shop, were removed easily by heating first-a basic for seized/rusted parts on anything). the worst part is they are a part of the napa program now-so they told me to contact them to "repair" their mistake. if your in the area, definitely look elsewhere...

Howard Mackert runs a very tight shop. It is clean and well organized, and his techs are very knowledgeable. Howard is very up front and fair, and he knows his business well including from the standpoint of customer service. He is thorough in his explanations and always tries to provide the best possible value. Howard works on our 2005 Cadillac DeVille that my daughter inherited from her granddad, and we have always been very satisfied with the results. Given the competence, reasonable price, and overall trustworthiness I highly recommend Mackert Automotive as a source of quality service for any automobile including all modern makes and classic cars as well.

We brought in a used vehicle we were considering purchasing to have Mackert Automotive do a vehicle inspection to make sure it was sound. Although their schedule was slammed, Jared was super nice over the phone and put me on down for any appointment anyways. At the end of the inspection the mechanic and owner took the time to talk to us about the maintenance implications of buying the car and recommendations for what we should consider. Their advice helped us make an informed decision and I was blown away with how sincere and helpful they were. Many thanks!

You are greeted politely at the door. Service options are explained clearly. All questions are welcome, and where there is a difference of opinion among smart people, they give you both sides. When we moved here I had Mackert go over both of my used vehicles to get a baseline. They had the chance to offer all kinds of maintenance work, but they gave a clean bill of health for both. I replaced brakes on one and flushed both automatic transmissions. Thats all. I will take my vehicles here for as long as we live in the area.

Your Review Ive been to Mackerts numerous times over the years, and Im always impressed with their customer service and thoroughness. They really take the time to explain whats going on, your options, what you may need, what you dont need, etc. Their prices are a bit on the higher side, but its worth it because they are honest and do good work. They can sometimes take awhile getting back to you about the status of your vehicle - thatd be my only minor complaint. Other than that, great place for repairs and general maintenance!

You really cant get more for your dollar anywhere else. Expert technicians, great office personnel, and Howard (the owner of Mackert auto) comes out to greet the customers quite often. I have taken every vehicle we have to Machert auto, and have never had a bad experience. And ladies, Howard hosts an evening every once in awhile just for you. He goes over every aspect of your cars with you to help you become more familiar with what can go wrong with your car or truck. This is a great business.

Ive taken our Jetta into Mackert for a few years now and cant imagine going any place else. The staff is always friendly and and Howard (owner) and his mechanics are happy to take a little extra time to explain car malfunctions/service in laypersons terms; providing clear explanations and practical advice when needed. After a few minutes sitting in their waiting lobby, its plain to see that they treat all of their customers the same way; respectfully, fairly and honestly. Thanks Mackert!

These folks are the best in the area in my opinion. They are not the cheapest. If you want cheap, inferior work, go elsewhere. If you love your car, let these guys take care of it for you. Ive had my car in several times this year. The work has ALWAYS been top notch. The team does a great job of letting you know whats coming up, costs, recommendations etc. I feel very comfortable taking my car to Mackert Auto for all its wrenching needs. These guys are top notch for sure!

Quick Diagnosis, Great customer service, professional, reliable, friendly, and Trustworty. I had them diagnose a mystery issue with the Subaru. Turned out to be less severe than I thought, and they took care of it for me right away. They did not try to talk me into more repairs than were necessary. Instead, they casually pointed out a few things to keep an eye on. They were very informative and honest about the situation, and I appreciate it.

It’s rare to find business people who do what’s right regardless of profits but at Mackert Automotive that’s exactly what you’ll get. They were able to get me in fast, they listened carefully to my issues and didn’t overcharge me or do work my vehicle didn’t need. They were polite and never made me feel pressured.
