WOW!!! I’ll say it again, backwards this time, WOW!!!! I am so grateful we found McCabe’s when we did! They have saved us almost $1,000 between two of our cars that both started having issues about the same time. We took both vehicles for a brake check and air conditioning repair at presumably reputable places in Gig Harbor (Precision Tune and Les Schwab who previously always had a great experience with tires and oil changes so we thought it would be ok) the quote for the first vehicle was that front and back brakes needed replaced (20% on both) and at a quote of over $1000. They also said brakes on our other vehicle were just fine and didn’t need replaced. $1,000 is a lot of money for brakes so we took it to McCabe’s for a second opinion and the urging of my parents (also loyal McCabe’s customers for years now) and I am SOOOOOO grateful we did! Turns out my front brakes were just fine at 70% and didn’t need to be replaced. That’s a far cry from the 20% Les Schwab stated. Only the rear brakes needed replacing and at about a third of the cost of the other quote! We were convinced then and there that this was our new “home” for auto repairs. The same day we picked up the first car the second car’s check engine light goes on… awesome… we just got the air conditioner replaced a day or two before that at the Gig Harbor Precision Tune (it’s been an expensive week for cars LOL) so we thought it was just something that got bumped etc. Turns out someone damaged the relay and there was a hole in it! A hole!!! OMG! I don’t know a lot about cars but even I know you’d have to be doing something really stupid to have that happen. Now here is the kicker… we had McCabe’s check the brakes of that vehicle too since they did feel a little soft to us. The brakes were at 1mm!!! OMG! If we hadn’t found McCabe’s when we did and trusted Les Schwab or Precision Tune we would have been grinding metal on metal in no time… unbelievable!! McCabe’s not only “made it right” to quote Mike Holmes but at a super speedy and extremely reasonable price. They got us back on the road in no time and saved us hundreds of dollars in the process. They had every opportunity to rip us off multiple times and they didn’t. Quality and integrity are definitely the hallmarks of this company. It shows in everything they do. The staff is fabulous and does such a wonderful job at explaining the what’s and why’s of the repairs. There is no question how they arrived at the final bill as every detail is broken out and accounted for. They even gave us an online coupon we didn’t even know about! They have blessed us beyond words!!! We have a two year old and to think of all the driving we did thinking everything was ok just makes your head spin. We are so grateful for McCabe’s and the wonderful service they did for us!!! You simply will not find a more reputable, trustworthy, and quality automotive repair shop around. Bring your cars here and you won’t be disappointed!

DO YOU CRINGE WHEN YOU KNOW THAT THE CAR YOU ARE DRIVING NEEDS SOME REPAIRS. SOME THAT YOU CANNOT DO YOURSELF. Well, low and behold, here comes McCabes Auto specialists. Oh...my, had I known about this place before I got rid of my blue truck. I took my Lexis in because it would not pass emissions, and it was tab renewal time. My only family vehicle, so it was imperative that it be fixed timely. Well...we dropped it off at 830am, and before I knew it, they were calling me that it was fixed. They had previously called with the cost and what was wrong. I was not supprised with the price, after all it is a Lexus. Although, it was cheaper that the dealer by a chunk. IT sure runs great, and we got over to emissions station just before it closed, and it passed....no surprise there. Looking at the people at McCabes, I could tell that I was going to get a professional job done, and I did, I thank you McCabes, for your service, your attitude, and the friendly atmosphere, not to mention a clean office and shop, that I found there. We took our truck to McCabes Automotive Specialists on a referral from a family member. The day before, we had taken the truck to a shop in Graham for the same issue. The shop gave us an estimate for $1600 for work that turns out wouldnt even have fixed the problem. Long story short, when we took it to McCabes they were to the point, friendly, and HONEST. They told us our truck would be ready 4:30pm same day and they were true to that. Our bill ended up being less than half of the previous estimate. Our truck now runs great! I highly recommend giving McCabes a try. They have earned a long term customer and Im sure that they will satisfy you with their standard of technical and customer service. Just take your vehicle to them. You wont regret it.

I can not overstate my satisfaction with McCabes. When one cars manufacturer was unable to repair our now "vintage" Caravan because they no longer provided the needed part, McCabes found a place that would rebuild the faulty equipment. We have taken our cars to them over the years and have found them to be honest, reliable, always working for my best interest, and extremely friendly. Weve had a lot of work on various vehicles done there and been very pleased. Once we had a fuel tank replaced but the replacement would leak on warm days (which there arent a lot of around here) when the pressure would build up and there was just enough fuel in the right spot to get pushed out. When I asked them to fix it for free because I thought the replacement was defective, they did it no argueing, They just said we dont want a dissatisfied customer and took care of it. That is real customer care!

Their canine greeter is very cheerful and excited for your impending pets and snuggles! Hes possibly the best part of the McCabe Auto experience. I cannot recommend hanging out with this dog enough! Also, amazing customer service! Very honest and quality work! My family has been coming to McCabes for years and I highly recommend them to all of my friends. The staff is incredibly friendly and they are all so knowledgeable! Totally worth a visit!
