I took my car in to have it looked at, because it wouldnt start. I paid $1000 essentially to replace spark plugs and coil. On top of that, I didnt have the diagnostics charge waved as told when I dropped it off. Also, I have an Ignition Interlock Device in my car and tried to warn the mechanic about all that needs to be done with it, he said not to worry and that he didnt even need my instructions because of how many he has used in the past. When I come to pick up my car (a $1000 and a day and a half later for a minor job) they tell me they only had one failed test because they didnt re-blow while the car was running, resulting in a failed test, which means taking it back to be recalibrated, paying a recalibration fee, an appearance in court, etc. The manager Dustin I believe, told me about the failed test with a laugh saying they only forgot to blow in it once (!!!???), and when I told him that it means in the courts eyes thats the same as blowing hot with alcohol, he was nice enough to try and argue that they didnt fail they only didnt blow. After this, I called a day later at the recommendation of the Interlock company, to try and get them to pay the fee for failing a test, again the same manger or supervisor Dustin told me he would "ask the boss but he doesnt go for things like that." But he was nice enough to give me a free oil change if I want to go have another failed test some time. Everyone was nice enough at first, but refused to listen to a word I said, and copped a major attitude if I questioned anything, and cost me way more for the repairs then I should have paid. I would NEVER go here again and I would advise anyone thinking about going here to go anywhere else in the area. Buckys on 6th ave is a much better shop

I went in to have my oil changed and brakes done before moving out of state, it was recommended that I also get the rotors replaced.. followed their recommendation.. I was informed that the work is under warranty.. well... driving across country my rim came off the axel.. they did not tighten the lug nuts.. this caused damage to the rim so bad that it had to be replaced.. there was not a meineke near where this happened. I called the store spoke with the manager, was assured that they would make sure we were reimbursed for the damages, there was not a meineke location near us so we had no choice but to take it else where. Again reassures that even though we could not take it to a meineke that once they received copies of the invoices that they would "cut a check".. well here we are almost 2 months later and nothing.. the store is now ignoring calls from my number, I know this because I call from a different number and they answer.. funny how that works.. I emailed Devon pictures of the damages as well as the invoices.. he "did not receive the pictures". It wasnt until a month later that I knew they didnt have the pictures.. so I again sent an email with the pictures and invoices.. he told me he got them and has forwarded them to corporate.. two weeks later nothing and not even answering my calls.. They were negligent with their work and caused an incident that could have taken a life .. Devon made promises and reassured me that I would be reimbursed because of the work being under warranty regardless of where the work was done.

Overall not happy. They did a good job on my exhaust on both of my trucks I brought here. But as far as my brakes, not happy at all. Had a squeak coming from the brakes, brought it in and they said I needed new brakes on the front, and a cleaning on the rear brakes. Literally the next day the squeak returns, bring it back in, apparently the back brakes need replaced. Ok, got that done...Still squeaks. Now its been over 6 months and Ive brought it in about 3 additional times. I just dealt with the squeak for a while till I just got fed up listening to it and decided to try and get them looked at. Every time I am told they need to be cleaned...And every time it did nothing to silence the squeak. Finally they offered me a free brake inspection after I called about it recently, but the day I had set up to bring it in, it just wasnt worth the effort anymore to even bring it in. It just felt pointless to even bother trying to bring my truck back here anymore. I have no faith to bring any of my vehicles back here. And I even asked how long my brakes shouldnt squeak after they are cleaned, I was told at least 6 months. Mine would start to squeak within a day or so of getting cleaned.

One word - A W E S O M E!!! Devon was very kind, professional, and helpful. Sam was the technician who worked on my car - he was also kind, professional, and very VERY careful working on my car. A year ago I had a DREADFUL experience at Car Pros in South Tacoma which put me off of trusting anyone with my car. Then I came across Meineke Car Care Center on Bridgeport in Tacoma....after reading the reviews, I called and made an appointment. BOY WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! I am elderly, on a very fixed income and not only was the service EXEMPLARY, and the fellows absolutely fabulous, the price was so so SO within my tiny budget, I cried when I left....I finally found someplace I can trust this last car I will ever own to people who CARE!!! Give these guys a HUGE bonus and/or a raise!!! If I could have, I would have given them both a BIG tip. I just might, tho, make em all brownies and drop them by after this heatwave we are having here. GOD BLESS THESE NICE MEN and THANK YOU Meineke for having such a wonderful shop!!! HUGS AND KUDOS all around!!!!

I came in about 4:20pm on Wednesday 8/3/2016 Women Car Care Wednesdays. There were only 2 people in the waiting room. I asked the guy behind the counter if I could get an oil change. He looks at the clock and says it would be better if make an appointment because they are busy this time of day. I asked if there were any other Meinekes in the area and he told me that there was one on 6th Ave. I asked if he could call to see if they could get me in on today. He responded, "I can give you the number and you can call yourself". I very kindly told him, "Thank you, you have been really, really helpful". I drove about 2 minutes to Jiffy Lube and got EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and and oil change. MEINEKE YOU HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER AND I WILL DEFINITELY TELL MY FREINDS NOT TO PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS.
