There were quite a few reviews here about how bad the Issaquah Post Office was and I noticed that they were all removed so I am again reviewing it just to let customers know how bad it really is. Delivery is sporadic and unstructured and delivery people can be rude and condescending. They often deliver to the wrong address or not at all and are loath to deliver any package if they can get you to come down to the Post Office to pick it up instead. Ive had three packages in 6 months delivered to the wrong address and one not delivered at all which the driver argued about endlessly. I ended up filing a complaint to get my money back. Since I am home most of the time, I am easily available for deliveries so excuses of not being home or no one coming to the door really irritate me. Its just a way for drivers to get out of coming down the driveway to the house and making the delivery. And the excuses are endless; the weathers bad, too much rain, a little snow, holiday; I mean what ever happened to "neither rain, nor sleet, nor gloom of night"? The people who work inside the post office are pretty much hit and miss. Some are helpful, others are downright rude. I had one lady who spoke with such a thick accent I couldnt understand a word she said. When I asked her to repeat what she said, she became indignant and was noticeably cold for the rest of transaction. I have noticed fewer and fewer Anglos working at the front who speak English well and thats been a real detriment to the service when you have to repeat yourself several times and explain what anyone else who understands English well would understand easily. And it never ceases to amaze me how the staff will be in complete denial or argue with customers who bring up mistakes or complaints. They just play dumb for the most part and act as if there is something wrong with you that you are complaining about anything. And the long lines, again hit and miss on whether you end up in a very long line waiting for a half an hour or have only a few people in front of you. And there never seems to be any urgency for management to get more people out front no matter how long the line is. They just look at you like they dont even see you and expect you to just deal with it. All in all, I have to say the worst Post Office Ive ever had to deal with. If you can, use another one.

My package was scheduled to deliver on July 25, but never got delivered. When I checked with the post office on July 27 with the tracking number, the staff told me he would check on the package and gave me a follow up call on July 29. He did not call in the morning, so I went to the post office in the afternoon to find out what happened to my package. Another staff who seemed completely disinterested in his work told me that the person that I asked for was not available at the time, so I left a written message for him to call me back. I called him a couple of hours later and he said he didnt get any message from the other guy, and he seemed to have forgotten about my inquiry on July 27. He asked me to give him all the information that I had already given him on July 27, including the tracking number, my address and phone numbers, etc. Then he put me on hold for about 15 minutes to locate where the package was. Finally he found where the package was headed for. IT WAS BEING SHIPPED BACK TO THE SENDER! He advised that I could communicate with the sender to have the package resent back to me! He said there was nothing he could do at that point. What kind of postal service is this? Its very annoying to deal with people who are so uninterested in their work and who have no care about customer service and professionalism.

This post office does not answer their phones at all. I had to call the main 1800 number to talk to any one. They are 100% aware of this and they do not do anything to improve this. The post master is a real jerk and completely condescending. I told him that no one is answer their phones and he said some one is on it right now so it works. I asked him about a "hold system" and he keep saying that some one is on it so the phones "works". I believe that he was too stupid to understand what I was talking about or just doesnt care. If the "post master" cant figure out their phones he can not do the job. Also, I asked about my package that was deemed "undeliverable" and he kept cutting me off and talking over me. I did get a little short with him in the end but he was a jerk to start with. I also called about keys being installed on a out going mail box that we installed. He did not have any information what so ever saying that it is not his job and he cant check any thing. Wow great customer support I can see why this post office gets a 2.2 on yelp. Way to go guys! I have contacted the main office to file a complaint against him. Hope he gets a write up :)

Well I guess I am not surprised that this office has the reviews I have just read. What I cant understand is why nothing is done about it. Our experience gos beyond the office of cranky, unhelpful and uninformed workers that reside there. Our postal delivery person who had to have witnessed the mail strewn up and down the streets that he travels EVERY DAY did nothing to inform the public or even the PO office. Is there no risk management department that governs our postal delivery service. What does the "Post Master" suggest is an appropriate response to the countless people affected by mail theft in the last month. And then to have to deal with such unhelpful people at the PO. It would take a full page take you through the absolute disfunction and agony that has transpired in the last month due to plain ignorance and apathy. And what an opportunity missed to provide the community with a level of service not only that the tax payers deserve, but a level of engagement that could reflect a true effort to improve a community service and taking pride in the job.

I am inviting everyone who was standing in the Issaquah post office today to write a review. My experience with that office has been horrible. I have been promised a call back from a supervisor but none has come. I called over 20 times today and could not get through - and I even faxed over a request for (the supervisor) to call as he had promised to do. My package has bounced from Issaquah to Settle to Federal Way to Issaquah to Federal Way to Seattle!! My husband went down to see if he could speak to someone about my package and he reports long, long lines of very disgruntled people - none of whom were getting service or any satisfaction. Please join me in making sure that this comes to an end. We have every right to expect that our packages arrive as well as to expect some kind of customer service when we do not receive our packages. Please write a review and continue to write until we can effect some sort of change.
