WOW! Two weeks after buying a 1999 OBW last fall I was cursed with an "over-heating" Subaru :( For another month I called every radiator shop within driving distance, and honestly didnt feel confident in taking my car to a shop and forking over large sums of money, not knowing if me and car were going to get the proper care we needed. I then stumbeld upon the All Wheel Drive Auto Independent Subaru Repair website, and instantly knew after browsing for a few minutes that these guys KNOW Subarus...AND customers!! I called and spoke to Justin who gave me a fair estimate and we made an appointment for an inspection. Upon the inspection Justin, Ken, and one the techs had discovered a number of VERY important issues that purtained to my most critical concern, SAFETY. They didnt just tell me and leave me to wait in the lobby...they brought me into the shop, under the car, and pointed out potential dangers with flashlights and explanations. Its been one year since the guys replaced my head gasket, and since, theyve also replaced all four brakes, a CV-boot, and a number of freebies (as well as a suggestion to replace my tires, which Ive done). I also have them change my oil. This may not seem as important, but after getting my oil changed at Jiffy Lube and similar "Fast-Lube" shops, who are ALWAYS trying to up sell me on something that I dont know if I need and they cant seem to explain WHY? I need it other than that my car has 130.000 miles (Im talking maintenance jobs over $100); or knowing if they really are changing my oil . So, if I ever need anything repaired, whether it be my car, my plumbing, or a broken neck, Im leaving that to the experts. From my own experience, when it comes to my Subaru, these guys ARE the experts! My car runs and drives like a 2009 model, THANK YOU! Not only do I know that my vehicle runs great, I know how, and why, it wasnt. Thank you again guys, for professionally reparing and properly teaching me about what I depend on...my Subaru.

Stumbled upon AWD Auto while researching timing belt changes, and their website alone sold me. Good blog articles, thoughtful answers to questions posed, and a real world outlook on maintenance. What is even better is my in-person experience was amazing. These guys really know subies, and approach problems in a systematic, scientific way. There is no bs. When you speak to them you get the idea they are not pushing extra services but only what you need, and let you know what you can hold off on. Got a 12 month warranty on my full timing belt service (full job, all idler tensioner water pump etc) and a few other things they already had a part were old, I was called, and authorized small repairs that were no real extra labor. I am extremely happy to take my car there again even though its really far out of my way, I would want no other business working on my baby than the thorough, skilled, and pleasant people at AWD auto.

I originally took my 2002 Subaru Outback Sport to All Wheel Drive Auto for a new head gasket and Ive been coming back ever since. They are professional, honest and courteous, and explain what needs to be done and why, and never pressure you into repairs which arent necessary or are just not worth fixing. They shuttle you to and from your place of work and have loaner vehicles for when work takes more than a day - all part of the service. Ive always been pleased with the service and quality of the work.

First Time Customer: I just retrieved my mothers 94 Subaru Legacy from AWDA and am very enthusiastic. I had obtained estimates from 3 other repair shops, including a dealer, and not only did Justin & crew find legitimate things that the dealer didnt, but they did the work at a SIGNIFICANT discount off the dealers bid. These guys did a great job. Excellent communicators. The job was done correctly, quickly, for a very fair price. They did not push me into anything I didnt think Id need and I trust them a lot.
