Heres the feedback I sent to the home office: Lacking in experience & manners, some on your staff are not just rude, but havent a clue about how to improve service to people who come in from insurance companies that actually recommend your company. I was greeted first with ignorance then hostility when I questioned why I was told Id be getting a quote from Liberty Mutual. Liberty Mutual is not my insurance company. I told my insurance company about this first encounter / misinformation and the way Id been treated. I told them they should stop recommending Gerber Collision if the staff doesnt know what they are doing or are trying to steer business to Liberty Mutual. I had to give three reports to my insurance company about this. I was treated as if I were stupid and didnt know what I was talking about with regard to my own car and insurance company. The reverse was actually the case. I was mishandled two times and ended up giving a piece of my mind after obvious delight was taken by the receptionist in pissing me off. Ive never encountered worse service and will never recommend your company to anyone. I let my insurance company know exactly what happened , why and exactly how intense the situation was in the end when the receptionist said things about my insurance company that were not true. My insurance company was almost as shocked as I was after I was pushed to the point of losing all patience; and then losing it. I make no apologies for that. You need to train your staff better so they understand simple words like Hello, How are you, Im sorry, I want to help you, How can I help you. You know, simple common courtesy and diplomatic ways to interact with strangers i.e. the paying public.

This place had terrible HORRIBLE service. I was involved in a minor collision where I rear ended someone. They were perfectly fine around the whole estimate aspect and then I called a few weeks later saying that I was ready to bring my car in, they said that they would check on the parts and call me back. I waited a week and never got a call so I called them, they said that the guy who was working on my case wasnt "with them" anymore and that another guy would call me, who never did. A few days later I called and said that the reason I hadnt gotten a call back was because the parts were unavailable and that they would continue to look around and call back with a status update, but still no call. I did not have my car repaired through them, I took it to a small place in Edmonds called Edmonds Autobody who immediately tracked down all the parts, said that they can do it at or below the estimate that Gerber gave me. Edmonds Autobody has also emailed me photos along with explanations of the repair along the way. Edmonds Autobody is responsible, great customer skills, and very quick as I should be able to pick my car up tomorrow! I would not give any of my business to Gerber and can not believe that my insurance company would recommend a place that doesnt even call a paying customer back.

After an accident in the late afternoon, and getting approval to have the tow truck take my vehicle to Gerber...the office staff at Gerbers Lynnwood location told the tow truck driver to drop off the car in the back lot, and come back to the front to get paid. When the driver arrived at the front, they would not pay/agree to take responsibility for the car. Understandable; yet why not call me or wait for me to arrive since you knew I was coming? I arrived with my husband and the at-faults insurance info and claim number at about 5:45pm. The office was shut and my vehicle was nowhere to be seen. The next day, I called to find that they had refused to take the vehicle and it was taken by the tow company. Two days later, the office at the Gerber Lynnwood location called me to say that they STILL HAD MY VEHICLE!!! Are you kidding me? You wouldnt take my vehicle! And, you are going to call and bother me now? AND- you want to make sure that I have a service shop? Yes, yes I do have a shop- AND IT IS NOT YOU!

Our car was stolen from this place. It was required that we took our car here, by Farmers Insurance, after a collision where I was not at fault. After the car was recovered by the sheriff, and then returned to the shop, it took an extra 2 weeks for the repairs to be done. This resulted in us needing a rental for an extra 2 weeks that we then had to pay for. We still dont know if we will be reimbursed for the stolen items, such as GPS etc... And yeah, the car key was in the ignition and the doors were unlocked so the thieves could just jump in and drive away. The 1 star also covers the way Taylors Farmers agency in Shoreline. Absolutely outrageous! So we had to pay deductible and 4 weeks rental upfront. UPDATE: I am updating my review from 1 star to 3 stars because the work they did on the car is actually perfect. A few minor issues, like window didnt work on one side, but they fixed it when we took the car back.

In February 2010 a tree fell on my car, so I had it towed to Gerber Collision in Lynnwood. They were great in following up with me regarding what stage the repairs were at. What was horrible about this business is that it took them 26 days to repair my vehicle; furthermore, when I picked it up, I didnt have time to inspect it, but during the course of a week of driving it to work and back Ive noticed the ENTIRE interior is covered in smudge (from dirty hands). The cloth that covered the panels is torn and scratched. The interior electronics were not covered when they were sanding and that fine dust is now inside my navigation screen. The interior was not vacuumed and so the leather seats were covered in the fine dust as well. There is much more, but all that will be in an e-mail to my claim adjuster and to them. The paint job is great though.

Just received my car back today. Its Friday and I turned in my car in Tuesday morning, reading these reviews Im quite shocked... Because from the moment my insurance company recommended this place til my car was fixed I was completely statified with the customer service and the work they did (by the way they back it up with a guarantee) and that they fixed my car in a timely manner! Preston was nothing but professional and extremely helpful to me even when I asked about polishing out a scuff I had not related to my accident. What more could I ask for?!? I understand the reviews are old but dont discourage this place when looking around for places to fix your car they are quite wonderful.

Just had a windshield replacement done. Technician came on time and got the job done in an hour. I watched the whole way thru and had a chance to chat with the guy and know how their system works. Heres a note, if you need windshield replacment, have the technician go to your place instead of dropping the car to their shop. Collision center and autoglass are two different units and it is easier for the technician to schedule appointment according to your schedule. I had a Toyota Echo, it was a front windshield and the total was $281 (somewhere mid-range price I believe). It has lifetime warranty.
