We had such a good experience with Maaco in South Lake Union. We have a 1995 VW Golf that runs great and has been well maintained, but it had faded to a mottled pink. It’s our second car and we seldom drive it but had become a serious eyesore and an embarrassment to the neighbors. We had Maaco South Lake Union paint it to match and the original VW color. The manager is a bit of a big burly tattooed young guy and may look rather intimidating. However, he treated me with respect (not treating me as a “dumb old broad”) and had a sly sense of humor that kind of sneaks up on one. It took them about 8 days to get the car painted, a little longer than they had planned. However, they were very good at communicating with us. Despite the fact that the car’s surface was worse than they expected, they didn’t charge us more. There were a few speckles of paint on the black trim on the roof and some powdered paint that we brushed off with our hands on the inside of the door where it closes into the frame. Otherwise the car looks great. You can’t even see where the two dents might have been. The finish is smooth/glossy and we can expect the VW to serve as our backup car for years to come. I recommend taking time to understand what you’re getting for the quote, and not expect a $4,000 paint job for a quart the cost. (For instance, we clarified before they started that the black pin striping on our car would be painted over and not be replaced unless we paid an additional amount.) Despite this recommendation, this is a case where I believe that I received more than I paid for.

Let me start off by saying I think the staff here are good people and mean well. I wish I could write them a glowing review because Ron seemed genuinely nice. Unfortunately, I think they are incompetent mechanics and business people. I brought my care in on a Thursday afternoon to have one of the rear windows replaced. My partner uses this car to get to work and Ron told me we would have it the next day. I called the next day and it turns out they ordered the wrong window from the supplier. Maybe just a simple mistake, but it seems like an auto body shop would have ordering windows down. I waited until Monday and then walked over to the shop. The glass had been installed but when I went to try to lower it nothing happened. They had forgotten the key step of wiring back up after installing the new window. If after all this the staff had been super apologetic and bent over backwards to give me good service, I probably would still have given them 2-3 stars. But the staff seemed to refuse to accept responsibility, claiming it was the glass distributors and mechanics fault. Finally on Tuesday, when my car was finally ready, the staff did not call me when my car was ready for pick up and I had to follow up myself.

Excellent service and very impressive results for really good prices. I took my old BMW in to get the exterior completely repainted. The previous owner had sanded it down to bare metal and spray painted it - it didnt look great and the body was beginning to corrode. The difference when I got it back was pretty unbelievable, see for yourself. That being said, they werent perfect - they forgot a couple things first time around and made some minor mistakes, which they were more than happy to correct for no additional charge. In the end though, it came out pretty much perfect. Just be clear about what you want and youll leave very satisfied. I will definitely be bringing cars here in the future if I need their services again and will be recommending them to friends.

ork. From the moment I started I had nothing but a friendly and welcoming experience. I have never been in a collision before and Ron laid out the process and communicated clearly with me. I felt very comfortable and confident leaving my car with him. As my claim continued to be processed the insurance company took advantage of me and both Ron and Maaco were by my side the whole time. They went to bat for me and helped me fight the good fight. They communicated constantly with me and truly went the extra mile to see that I was treated fairly. Aside from their outstanding character, the work they did on the car was thorough and fast. Overall the service was above and beyond and I would continue to use them and recommend them to anyone.

I had an excellent experience getting a few dents on my car fixed, and even had my doors painted to match the rest of the car (they had been replaced at sometime before my ownership and the paint job had been subpar)! Ron was incredibly helpful and amicable. The only thing I didnt like was that I received my car back a day after I had been promised it would be done, and I had to return to have my decals placed properly on the back of my car. Other than these minor issues, which they were very willing to fix, I was pleased with the overall experience and would recommend their services.

After a minor collision, my car looked bad. after researching for a reliable auto body shop, I found Macco. The owner Ron was fun and welcoming and his professionalism, knowledge, combined with humor greatly relieved our stress from the accident. We also had our car repainted caused by a different incident. After few days, we receieved a call from one of his staff that the car was ready. and it looks like brand new! so flawless and shiny its hard to believe it had so many scratches and dente before. I am very happy with my car and service received I will use it again.

I backed my car into a tree on my vacation and was referred to Justin by a co-worker whod had good work done at Maaco. The work they did returned my car to its original condition--there was no sign that anything had ever happened to it. The real reason Im going back now, after a collision with a school bus, is how I was treated. Justin is friendly and open, and he does what he says he will by the time he says hell do it. I dont know anything about cars and my ignorance is obvious. I could really get taken for a ride and, instead, they just do their jobs.

I hit the curb with my Subaru. When I called to get an estimate for repairing the loose bumper, Jake was extremely nice and helpful. When I went in to get the estimate, Jake took one look at the loose bumper and said it would be no problem to fix it and would take about ten minutes. He put Orlando on the job and, sure enough, it took about ten minutes. The most amazing part was, they didnt even charge me anything! I highly recommend this body shop because of their supportive, courteous staff and work above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks guys!

Incredible customer service! I would give 10 stars if I could. I have never written an online review for anything before, but after getting assistance from Maaco in South Lake Union, I felt I had to give them kudos for their paramount service. I had some scratches that needed to be buffered out and they did an excellent job. The folks at Maaco are honest, reasonable and FAST! Will spread the word and give them my business if I need any further work done in the future. Thank you, Maaco!
