At one point Car Guy was good to us. We spent over $10k with them on different projects as well as having them build an engine for us. Several things went wrong with the build on the technicians part. The motor was supposed to make so much power, and it didnt when we brought it to Bill Messer (tuner) . The car wouldnt even stay idling. The technician at Car Guy said he would not be available to even look at the car for over a month. After dropping over 3000 on a engine build I get thrown to the back burner. I waited, he had it for a week and said there was nothing wrong with it and we needed a couple other modifications. We fixed the issues that he said may be causing it, we took it back to Bill Messer and had it retuned and on the dyno again. It is still missing over 50hp+ from what it should. Again, Bill spent over 5 hours on the car trying to get it to just idle even gets on the phone and calls the mechanic right in front of me and asked what is done to this motor and why cant I get it to run? The tech wouldnt give us receipts and had me pay cash, he lost our cam cards, couldnt even give us the compression ratio. According to him its "11:7 something" . Ive had to take it to another shop called late night speed to try to figure out what went wrong and pay another mechanic to troubleshoot their motor since they refused to take any responsibility. They lost some of my lug nuts and replaced them with stock ones as well trying to be sneaky. Knocked over one of my brand new Saleen wheels and ruined the finish. Stay away from this shop.

I was looking for a good place to take my eclipse in to get my clutch worked on and I found the car guy. Nice thing was it was down the street from me. So I went down to see what this place was all about. I saw good reviews and also some bad ones but you dont know if its good or bad till you see for yourself. When I got there I talked to one of the nice ladies up front about the issue I was having, she went and got Gene. Gene is a super cool guy I told him what was going on and he gave me some different possibilities of what it might be. I asked him if I just bought an aftermarket clutch and flywheel would he install them. Sure. Got a quote witch was by far better then the other places I went to. And to top it off he walked me around his shop showing me all the things they do there its like a one stop shop. Introduced me to the guys working there witch were all super cool. I went back a week or so later cause my wifes power steering was leaking pretty bad. I talked with Wes another super cool guy and got a quote made an appointment and by the end of the day it was done. Once I got my clutch a flywheel in I went back to make an appointment. I had it towed there in the morning the day before the appointment and the the end of the next day she was done ready to be driven. The did awesome work on both my cars I plan on going back for some aftermarket upgrades and I highly recommend this places for anyone who is picky about their cars like I am. Thanks to everyone that works at the CAR GUY!!!!

We took our car here about a month ago for an alignment special purchased on Groupon. The staff was nice and friendly, however, they did an awful job on my car. After the alignment was completed, the back end of my car began "hopping" to the left or right when Id drive over bumps in the road - something it had not been doing before the alignment. Additionally, they told me I needed a part for my car that they quoted at around $100. We ended up taking the car to the dealership to have them look at the part we were told to replace. We also asked them to look at the "hopping" issue that had begun. Well, the part we were told to replace was in perfect condition and our alignment was completely off from manufacturer specs. Ended up paying the dealership $100 to fix the $40 alignment from this place. Last, when I called them to explain what had happened and to see if they would accommodate a refund, they had nothing to say except "refunds have to be done through Groupon." Groupon did give us an account credit, but our experience here was fraught with incompetence and dishonesty - neither of which are acceptable qualities for a mechanic. Cannot recommend this place for alignments and will not be back for any other work.

I came to The Car Guy, to have a PI swap done on my mustang. I had driven past the shop several times, and had noticed several mustangs there, so I figured they would know what to do when it came to my car. The owner Gene gave me a tour of the whole facility. I decided to have them do the work. Well as luck would have it, the perfectly functioning heads I purchased off craigs list were absolutely irreparable. Gene gave me a great deal on another set of heads and cams for my build. The part that shocked me was his honesty about some of the other parts. When doing this type of swap there are a lot of parts that need to be replaced. In this case the timeing chains and guide plates should be replaced. This kit can cost from $250.00 to $350.00, he couldve charged me for it and the extra labor, but he was honest and said it didnt need to be replaced. I brought my wifes car in for a problem, thought it was the catalytic converter. The cost for a new cat is $180 to $300 plus labor. turns out it was the fuel pressure regulator, $109 out the door. If you want honest and quality work done, this is by far one of the best shops in the valley. Thanks Gene,

I did my research thoroughly and had the mishap of buying a lemon, however Im happy about it all thanks to CarGuy. For the past three months Ive had my vehicle in for everything from a full engine rebuild including the heads, to having them track down a leak I could smell, but couldnt see. I consistently have had fantastic personalized service that has catered to my scheduling needs, cost breaks, and more. These guys love what they do, they do it will skill and one of the few places like to keep a customers perspective on the work they perform. You should also not just think of CarGuy as a place to have your repairs and maintenance services done too, Gene is a skilled fabricator and has the resources to do a lot of custom projects. While there Ive seen some awesome golf carts, powdercoating, and suspension part fabrication. Oh, and the couch in the waiting area is comfortable enough to snooze the day away in ;-)

I went in for just an oil change and tire rotation. While on the lift they did their inspection and noticed my CV boot was shredded and had almost no grease inside, so the gentleman at the front brought me back to show me and asked if i was hearing a clicking sound when i turned "witch I was" he then explained how CV axle worked and what could possibly happen. We returned to the front desk and gave me a quote on price. NOT ONE TIME did they pressure me into buying anything. He even told me I could take his quote to "MY" mechanic and have them fix it. He simply wanted me to know what was wrong with my car for me and my kids safety. THE BEST PART IS HE DROVE MY SON AND I HOME because I had important things to take care of, called me when he was done and came back to get me. HANDS DOWN CARGUY showed me they care about the costemers who come in, NOT JUST TRYING TO MAKE MONEY
