I had a bad experience with the Gilbert Chevrolet Autonation last year. My daughter made a deal for them to get a Impala. They located one and she was on her way up to get the car. They called on our way up and told us the manager decided to keep the car for his wife. There was no, can we locate you another car or any other explanation. We then went to Earnhardt Buick and bought a loaded Buick that night, and were treated like valued customers. They could not have been nicer. They even gave us $1500 more for our Jeep trade-in than Autonation had offered us. Three weeks ago I got a offer from Henery Brown Buick/GMC to buy my 2015 Tahoe which only had 6400 miles. The offer was genuine but they didnt have anything I was interested in, so I decided to go next door and just check out Autonations inventory. This was the last place I thought about buying a car from. I was greeted by salesman Eddie Gaxiola and was immediately impressed with him. I then decided to see what they could offer. After a short time and a positive meeting with Sales Manager Ryan Slusher, we came to a deal on a 2018 Equinox. When I came up to get the car the first thing I asked Eddie was where was the window sticker? He went back and found it in the garbage. I have bought 38 plus new vehicles in my lifetime and have never had to ask for the sticker. Eddie said he would check on getting a new sticker. They sent us to see A Bill Bonham, who I was told was the inventory manager. I told him what I wanted and he informed me that NO ONE keeps the stickers. I told him I always do so If I sell the car down the road I can show someone what is on the car. I also gave Autonation my laminated window sticker for my Tahoe. So again I said I would like a new laminated copy. Then he told me that they dont have laminated window stickers. I said that most of the cars on the lot had them. He said he would bet me everything he had in his pocket (around $2000) that I couldnt find more than 10% of the cars with laminated stickers. I was taught to respect my elders so I didnt push that fact. I then took Eddie out on the lot and past a row of fifteen cars and showed him that all had laminated stickers. We we came back in and thinking about how I was treated like a idiot, I asked to see the General Manager. Randy Jacobs came out and said he was the General Manager. I explained what had happened. He apologized for the way I was treated and explained that indeed most of the cars have laminated stickers because after tinting the windows they cant apply the stickers on the tint. Randy also said I would have a new laminated window sticker within three weeks. I found this odd having worked at a Chevrolet Dealer when I was younger but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I know it doesnt take weeks to get something done. After 3-1/2 weeks and being told it would be several more weeks, I now know it was only lip service. The whole thing could have been avoided by telling me the truth to begin with, that they had NO intention of ever getting me a new sticker. My Tahoe was worth more than the Equinox so Autonation needed to make me a refund of about $7000. After 2-1/2 weeks I went up to see where my check was. I was taken to Jeff Dupont who said they were waiting for a new title. I told him I brought the the original title to them the next day after getting the car. After doing some checking Jeff found they had the title. I dont know how long I would have waited to get my refund if I didnt stop in. I appreciate Jeff getting me my check. After my overall experience with Gilbert Autonations upper management. I have no plans to ever buy or recommend them to anyone and I will make people aware of my treatment. Its too bad they have great people working there (Eddie Gaxiola, Jeff Dupont, Ryan Slusher) but their work is negated by poor management. In the meantime I took my daughter to the Superstition Springs Autonation where she bought a new Chevrolet Cruze

TERRIBLE Experience, Mark Kia so much better. If Antonio is your salesman, RUN! I was lied to over and over again when they told me my truck was going to be there any time. - I called the day before I came to tell them I was buying two cars, and exactly which ones they were. One was in Tempe. - I drove 3.5 hours because they told me they had a truck I picked out online. I was buying 2 cars, one with cash ,and the other I brought my own financing from the the bank. - I arrived at noon and was told that they negotiate numbers first, then they look at the cars. After 3 hours of being there and them refusing to let me see the truck, they told me it was no longer available, even though I called the day before. And they told me it was and they would hold it. They had 3.5 hours to get it there for me. The manager came over and sad if they had advance notice like the day before, he could have gotten it. They did! He told me he was not informed that someone needed a vehicle from Tempe. Thanks, Antonio. - They tried to show me another truck for the same price, but was massively inferior. White (not red), no campershell, visible wreckage. 10k more miles. Same price though! (thanks, but no thanks). I think they did not make money off the truck from the other dealer and tried to switch it on me. - Then after being there for 4.5 hours, I told them I was going home. Suddenly the truck became available again (amazing bait and switch)! They had work to do on my trade-in vehicle removing my old tow package, but since we all took so long to get a deal done, the service people had left for the day (Sat.), so the work couldnt get done til Monday. Antonio told me that... salt in the wound Antonio! - Then after finally getting to the office to sign papers, they still had the wrong financing info and tried to write it up at a full extra point and a 12 more months of financing. So then the papers had to be redone. I was there for almost 8 hours after driving 3.5 hours by the time we were finished. - Now its Monday and I purchased the truck Saturday. They called to tell me that they forgot to emissions test it and werent supposed to sell it to me. Now they need to send a flunkie to bring the truck back to Maricopa County for emissions testing. Theyll return it in a couple days (with 500 more miles on it, of course). What an experience. Two vehicles, picked out ahead of time. I notified the dealership a day in advance and was told they were available. I came with cash for one and my own financing for the other. This should have been a walk in the park, but this was the worst experience Ive ever had buying cars.

The service adviser that was assigned to me did a terrible job. From the moment I dropped the car off it seemed he had no time for me. I set an appointment days before and brought the vehicle in as requested. Once I had arrived I was greeted by a rude and generally uninformed service adviser. That was when the fun began. The 2016 Corvette Z06 was brought in for a loud rattle in the driver side door caused by improper padding between the door shell and the metal beam inside. This caused a loud rattle anytime the speakers in that door had any from of loud music playing. The second issue was a ripped rubber grommet across the roof in the location the removable top fits. Both items should be quick remove and replace items. After being told the car would need to be there overnight I called to check on a pick up time. I was again greeted by my same rude service adviser who spent the better part of 10 mins explaining to me how it was not fixed and how he had no idea where and when he would have the parts needed. When asked how that was possible on a standard car like mine he told me these parts are designed based on the vin number and each car was unique. So he told me a lie because he was to lazy to call around other dealerships and see if anyone had the parts. When pressed to explain he said these parts came from Michigan and would take several weeks. I of course knew better and pressed him again for the part numbers and I would locate the items myself. He refused to give me the part numbers and told me he would go the parts himself and find out more information. I asked again for the part numbers and he refused but told me he would call me back in 10 mins. 1 hour later no call and no information. Mind you, this is for filler putty in the door and a standard rubber grommet that fits on all corvettes. I then called back and asked to talk to the service manager who confirmed everything the adviser had said was B.S. He took the time to resolve the issue and I had both parts installed by the next morning in less than 24 hours. So the parts that did not exist outside of special order from Michigan somehow turned up and got installed in less than 24 hours. When I came to pick up the car the service adviser had a real "F*$# Y#* look on his face while giving me the car. Lets just say if Im someone who is clueless on car parts I would have waited around for my car for days while this guy decided to look for the parts. Then I would have gotten some stupid answer why it took 3 weeks. Sorry but Im done visiting your dealership.
