We stayed at the Renaissance hotel because of Fan Fest 2015. The hotel staff was AMAZING! Everyone from the front desk staff (loved those ladies!), to the bartenders (super nice and quick), the ballroom staff (seriously amazing and helpful!) And housekeeping/room service (kindest and mose helpful people ever!). We enjoyed our time almost completely. There was a water line break that caused our rooms to be without water for about an hour, but everyone was quick to let us know and didnt effect our experience at all! The only problem we had was with a police officer who was wondering the halls. We were told to keep our conversations down (we had our door propped) or else everyone would be told to leave, including the person renting the room. Before this, we hadnt been contacted by anyone else from the hotel, no phone calls letting us know there was a complaint or any member of the hotel staff, it was a police officer in full uniform. This felt very threatening and confusing for us, so to avoid any other possible complaints, we moved to the lobby. The officer followed us down there and told us it was closed and we had to leave if we didnt have a room, or go back to our rooms. It honestly felt like we were not wanted. This is why I only gave 3 stars. Im not sure we would go back

I stayed there for the first time this past weekend, and I will make sure its my last time staying there. I paid a ton of money for a hotel where i got a complaint about my door closing too hard. My friend and i didnt even come to my hotel till 2:30 am and within 10 minutes we had an officer at our door . they then came back to tell us we have to whisper in our room because the walls are thin. It was a saturday night and we tried everything we could to not ruin other peoples stay. no matter what we did the hotel staff was mad at us. they told me that i could not come in and out of my room to go smoke a cigarette. the rules and regulations they put down were absolutely the worst show of hospitality i have ever been through. My friend and I were discriminated because we were young. Little do they know I make more money than ever staff member i talked to. I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE COME BACK HERE. I cancelled my rooms for the Super Bowl and i booked them at a different hotel. we had to pay for wifi on top of the couple hundred dollar a night hotel room that we had. It is like paying for yourself to be in prison because god forbid you walk out of your room. I cant believe the absolutely horrid service i got

I am very loyal to Marriott Hotels, however I warn anyone against staying at this hotel because of serious billing mistakes that the hotel does not correct. After I checked out with the front desk, I was charged for an extra night the next day. I called the hotel that morning, and the front desk did not dispute that I had checked out, or that I was calling from another state on the day they were billing me for a stay. They referred me to the managers voicemail, who failed to call me back. THREE times. I disputed the charge with Visa, who found the charge was not valid, and refunded me. In retaliation, this hotel referred me to a collection agency. I am now having to provide yet another third party investigation all my documentation, for a fraudulent charge the hotel could very simply make right. DO NOT STAY HERE.... so not worth the risk of endless hours trying to resolve their billing mistakes.

$210 got us a room when the hotel was empty. In addition, $10 a day for parking, $13 a day for WiFi, separate charge to use the fridge, the in room whirlpool is worthless (the jets barely turn), reservations promised a bottle of wine for their mess up in scheduling our visit and local management refused, automatic 22% delivery fee if anything brought to your room (including towels), in room coffee carries its own cost, breakfast is not included, the included bathrobes that come with the room, are delivered by request only (22% fee applies), the bathroom was disgusting including dust and mold behind the doors and in between the tiles. The heater/ac didnt work and only blew air, both tvs reminded me of rabbit ears, you would have to move and hit the tv for a clear signal, even then there was still white noise, no free local calls.. bottom line, nothing is free, you pay al la carte for everything.

Someone there charged my credit card multiple times for hundreds of dollars. Korina seemed residually interested in resolution of the matter but seemed truly powerless to do anything. Emails to corporate have gone unanswered; calls end up in a perpetual que. Since this fraud, someone has gone directly into my account and drained me. Spa Botanica seems to be the epicenter and yet I have no resolution. The services were indeed just okay; Ive had much better. The woman who checked me out at the end of the day was very unprofessional; it was not Korina who was there during the day. Overall, this lackluster experience has caused me quite a bit of grief and I would NOT suggest using this spa. Based upon the response, or lack thereof from their corporate area I would say this about ALL Spa Botanicas.

My husband and I are local and we celebrate our anniversary every year here. We enjoy a night out at the restaurants and bars of Westgate. We have stayed in every type of room, suite, junior suite and king, and they are all very nicely done. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We always go downstairs to order a drink and they also have a full menu at the bar. We have always had a good experience from the front desk, concierge, restaurant and the room. We highly recommend The Renaissance, the staff is incredible, always always goes above and beyond. There is so much to do and enjoy at Westgate and The Renaissance Hotel puts you right in the middle of it all. You never have to take a cab, just walk across the parking lot to your hotel room.

I was attending an event in a conference room. When I attempted to enter the building from the conference room area outside entrance, I found all the doors locked. I had to walk all the way around to the front lobby to get in to the building. Similarly, when the event ended, I tried to leave out the same doors, but found the still locked so I could not exit either. I believe this is a violation of Glendale fire code considering the number of people attending the event. I was particularly disappointed with I found the handicapped accessible doors lock also as I am partly disabled. I think they are might locking these door for security reasons at night, but fail to open them during conference business hours. I hope they correct this situation.
