Literally worst ISP I have ever seen. Bad speed, bad prices, bad data caps, bad everything. Of course, theyre the only ones you can get in Paragould, so they dont care one bit if they are good are not. Wouldnt be sad if they burnt down and had to be replaced by someone else. I would give this ISP 0 stars if I could. No redeeming qualities whatsoever. Even if you buy the best internet package they have (advertised speeds are STILL subpar), you will not notice any speed difference. As a matter of fact, the average citizen of VIETNAM has better internet than anyone on this godforsaken "service." If you like getting 1 mbps speeds at 3 AM on a wednesday, youll love somehow hitting the data cap despite only being able to load 90s era japanese text only sites in under an hour and then having under 200kbps speeds for the rest of the month. A total moneygrubbing scheme. Complete, total, unabashed cancer on the industry and in peoples daily lives. Everyone here deserves to be fired. Please stop existing.

If it isnt the first, then it is a close runner-up to the worst Ethernet/Internet provider you could possibly have. With my experience, I would be lucky if I had 1 or 2 mbps (at the time of this review I only get ~20-150 kbps, this is with exceeded data caps.) It even seems that data caps arent as transparent as they are, hypothetically speaking, I could do the exact same measures in one month as the next but one of the aforementioned months would have me capped. Along side of abysmal data caps, you have the epitome of vicarious embarrassment of the "reliable" service. If the internet is there, you would be luck not having to reset the router or modem within thirty minutes or an hour. It lacks consistency and fails to function in any orderly manner. I would avoid this company like the plague, it is the worst around and will always be the worst around at the rate it is at the current time of this review.

You can get 1gig down in Jonesboro easily at $99/month. Unlimited data. PLWC? 30mb for the same price with data caps. That says a lot about the service. I currently pay for the Gold Package ($72.95/month) +$10.00 because I do not use their crappy cable television - for 15 mb down. Its really hard to work from home most of the time if anyone is watching netflix, youtube, really anything because of the data caps (supposedly 350mb, but questionable). We know their datacenter is extremely taxed because everyone these days streams videos all day, but if they want to be the only dog in town, theyve got to get better hardware. Doing a simple tracert tells everyone they cant handle the bandwidth the city needs, thus they borrow services from every other provider around here. Its time for an upgrade, PLWC, or just let someone else, like Ritter or Suddenlink come back to town.

So... my hubby and I just moved here and had our cable/internet hooked up. The pic resolution was a bit fuzzy, but not worse than we had before the digital satellite coverage we got before we moved here. We were promised an upgrade in digital cable within a year. Now, I had read horrific reviews on the internet about PLWC internet being slow, but we bought a $39 wireless router at the local WM, and the service is not much different from the Cox and ATT wireless access we had before. I have had two cells plus Netflix on a tablet hooked up simultaneously to this service, and it all was fine-no buffering/freezing up. The installation guy said they were upgrading within the year as well. Fairly pleased with the service thus far.

Instead of installing all three rooms on one service call, they said they would have to come back and charge me for the other rooms. Second, they hooked up one wire to connect internet and cable to back and forth until they got back the second time which confused my confused and fried it. It was working fine until they arrived. They told me to call an IT person to my home and have them fix it which would be more money or buy a new computer. How is that for good customer service?

Their service is absolutely terrible. Their Internet speeds havent been upgraded in at least ten years, and what little Internet speed they provide goes out at random times. The .09 MBps I regularly get isnt anywhere near the 15 MBps they advertise. Their utilities are overpriced like crazy on top of terrible Internet service. If they didnt have a monopoly on the area I would choose anyone else. Anyone that threw their hat in would be better than this.

Horrid ISP with extremely spotty Internet coverage. It is difficult to have a consistent enough signal to browse the interest without outrageous load times much else do anything else reliably that involves Internet in this day and age. It is clear that the internet branch of this company was tacked on with little regard as to what should be provided for the customer. Theres a reason its still know as PLWC and PLWCI.

Outrageous prices on just basic cable. The new trash can switch great idea. But only Friday for pick up. Sorry but you cant fit a weeks worth of trash in one bin!! Common sense tells you that it needs to be picked up twice a week. Lived in Florida for 10 years. They had a similar trash system. But 2 pick ups a week. We had to call and get another bin. Which they were very helpful with providing another one.

PLWC literally has the worst cost to Mbps ratio in the United States, what makes it better is that you pay all your money to them and dont even get half the speed they advertise. I always dread coming back to Paragould to visit. My cellular data is slower there than most of the rest of the country, and though I always give wifi powered by Paragould cable a shot when I visit, its never any better.

Absolutely horrid Internet. It fails upon simply trying to watch Netflix, and when we complained about this, we were told that the Internet speed is just not high enough because they dont want to pay more for tolerable speeds. I get 1 and a half gigabytes to download in jus over 2 hours. Absolutely unacceptable. So we pay a sickening amount of money for disgustingly slow wifi. Thanks, PLWC.

This is so horrible, you pay hard earned money for Internet and cable and you have to put a huge deposit down for a DVR box. This is just bad extremely horrible service. You might as well get satellite internet, at less you know what your really paying for....

Internet is unreliable with terrible data caps, I imagine they are in business because lack of options in the area. Not much difference between their different internet packages for the price 0/10 Trying to find a better option

Deplorable. I pay $100 a month for Internet and my 4G iPhone connection is faster and more reliable. If I call to complain, "sir the advertised speeds are not guaranteed." An absolute embarrassment for our community.

I could get Internet twice as fast and 155 channels from att for the same price as my slow, inconsistent Internet with plwc. But of course plwc is the only option in town. Customer service is horrible.

Terrible service. Internet speeds nowhere near advertised with terrible bandwidth caps. Be prepared for constant buffering if youre watching any streams, Youtube, or Netflix at 720p quality or higher.
